Nice traditional pub

Nipped in here for Sunday lunch, as The Grapes just along the river was heaving, and couldnt get a table. had a nice lunch, more pricey that at The Grapes and did not look as nice, but it was what it was, a roast beef lunch with the usual, gravy, roasts , veg etc. Nice bar area, not too many... read more

Staff great, location great - nachos were terrible. The were made from a powdered cheese with water. £11. Enough said.

This pub is a great location on the river and the food and service is excellent. They do a veggie fish dish which my friends love.

Arrived around 3 o'clock it was busy, but there were plenty of tables. The fish and chips were very good they also offer a good choice of share food which is great for a group of friends. One good point is the food orders can be taken at the table Which saves queuing up when it's busy. Overall 4 out... More

We went for a drink only but stayed for dinner. Great location looking over the Thames and nice atmosphere due to the age of the pub. The drinks were reasonably priced. The food was quite good, basic pub food but good quality and decent serving sizes. No complaints.

I came here 7 years ago with my boyfriend and remember devouring a whole baked Camembert joyfully. We returned on Sunday to feel the same warm reception from staff, awesome setting and again scrumptious food (this time it was pies). Thanks!

We tried their celebrated English pies and they were great. The olde worlde charm of this building is so indicative of Tudor England recreated. The views of the river Thames from the upstairs terrace are very good and very popular. Do not chose a table too close to the door out onto the terrace, if you wish to avoid the... More

If you are a tourist or history buff and like hanging out in the same places a notable people from history, then this is the place for you! Previous clientele include everyone from Dickens to Judy Garland! Right on the Thames with 2 courtyards, it's the perfect summer pub. Menu is the standard Taylor Walker pub offering, but cooked very... More

We visited a number of pubs that were suggested by friends who visited or lived in London. This one was our favorite. We decided to go back on our last night in London. The service was excellent, as was the food. The Steak and Ale meat pie is great, so is the fish and chips. Inside and out it looks... More
