We have read other reviews and it seems either you had a perfect night or did not. We had a perfect evening. The staff was excellent, especially the sommelier, who recommended a great bottle of wine to go with the meal. The amuse'bouche was a light touch that began the dining experience. We both had some of the best foie... More

The hospitality business faces a terrible paradox in that great hospitality has to be delivered in a profitable way but the latter is often in direct conflict with the former. We live in an era where you cannot afford to make this visible to customers: they will tell the world about it, thereby exposing the grim underbelly of your brands.... More

We have eaten at Marcus Wareing at the Berkley on several occasions, and class this as our favourite London fine dining restaurant Love the new make over - not too sure on the slightly relaxed approach to dress code ( a family of 3 tourists wearing trainers casual off the street wear to lunch not acceptable ) Marcus was on... Tricky review. First, the food. I had rabbit to start & it was amazing. Beautifully cooked with a mix of other textures made it a standout dish. Then we shared the rib. What made it unique was the black pudding sauce. Again really super. Finally a couple of deserts. I had some sort of nougat, when it came nothing like... More

We had the summer lunch special offer - £95 for 5 course with wine. What a great deal. nice sized portions and lovely wine. The room feels very formal, however, the atmosphere is relaxed and the staff are great. We checked out the full tasting menu whilst there and some of the dishes from the special offer are on it,... The new decor is a turn for the worse, according to my taste. The staff "uniforms" are also. Atmosphere has become rather thin and quiet, a bit lunar. I liked the thought of going in and ordering different stuff without sticking to a rigid progression, but to do that you really need to offer small plates, and even my starter... More

First time at the revamped restaurant, and booked the Chef's Table for our youngest daughter's 21st. The food from the tasting menu was excellent and service first class. Our eldest daughter is lactose intolerant and this was taken into account. It was a memorable experience.

It was a nice lunch, no faults but did not excite me. Not sure if I would return mainly because its not what it was.

We ate here last month to celebrate our wedding anniversary, and what a way to celebrate! From the moment we walked in we were made to feel like royalty! the staff were fantastic, the sommelier aided us with our wine choice and advised us according to our particular tastes. With my wife having several food allergies, we had obviously pre... More

My wife and I ate at PETRUS 5 years ago and had one of the best dining experiences we can remember. We always said we’d return and so when Marcus opened we booked immediately. We’ve never been so disappointed with a fine dining experience. We were seated at 7.00 and had finished our main course, and were heading out of... More
