Consistently good iranian food

I've been here a number of times over the years with my family and we always enjoy the food. The location isn't great and the decor is lacking, but the food is always on point and the bread is particularly delicious.

We came here to have a nice meal with our friends. We received the worst service in our life!! The food wasn't to our expectations either! First, they refused to serve tap water and forced us to have bottled water which never happened to us before. Second, the owner was standing right next to us watching us like a hawk... More

Classic Iranian home cooked food with the service and atmosphere to match.we come here on many Sundays as a family. Staff are excellent. Kabob is ideal but you can't go wrong with any dish. staff are very friendly, generous and helpful. Its a happy vibrant place! Bring cash though. They don't take credit cards.

Taste wise, I find Mohsen as the leading contender for the crown of Persian dinning in London. The restaurant seating plan is quiet tight but tends to provide you with a cosy feeling. A bit pricy, compared to the average Persian cuisine, but what you get is a 10/10 value for money! Strongly suggest trying their 'Kheima' stew along with... More

I have just read some of the reviews which say the service at Moshen is rude . I think the people writing the review are probably the ones who are rude - it makes me not want to listen to TripAdvisor as the people who run this restaurant are absolutely charming and helpful and so friendly that they could not... This unassuming restaurant, tucked away in a side street close to High Street Kensington, serves the best Persian good in London. It's speciality is grilled skewered of meat (chelokabab) or chicken (joojeh kabab) served with tasty Persian rice, to the sound of Persian pop music. They make fresh bread on site: try with Mast-o-Moosir (yogurt with shallots)! The decor is... More

This is a cute little place with very decent food. The service is friendly. The food is authentic persian food which is a food thing. As for the preparation and flavor of the meat I give them 7 out of 10. It is fine but nothing amazing. The bread is very nice though.

We went there as family (2 adults 2 children). The staff were very friendly and welcoming, they nicely sat us down and offered us the menus, the starter came very quickly (although restaurant was quite busy) which was humous, sesame naan and some salads etc - very nice and genuine tasting. We ordered the minced lamb and fillet lamb with... More

My family have been to Mohsen many times. We have tried around 10 other Persian restaurants in London but always return there in the end. The restaurant has been run by a husband-and-wife team since it was set up around 18 years ago. The husband personally oversees the kitchen which, incidentally, is spotless and can be seen by the diners... More

Mohsen is one of those rare places that you don't seem to get tired of - unpretentious surroundings, where the food does the impressing. Highlights are the minced lamb (Kobideh) kebab with safron rice - but order some extra grilled onions which come whole and so sweet and blackened on the grill - something so simple yet so amazing! The... More
