Enjoyed it every time

I have been to Manicomio in Sloane Square and the one in the City a few times now. I have never been disappointed by the quality of food and the service; they are both excellent. If you are looking for good quality contemporary Italian food and you are willing to spend a bit more than the average... read more

My friend had eaten here before and suggested this place for a light lunch. Waitress service we sat in the courtyard that is like a conservatory - quite cold outside. This was more spacious than the area near the servery. Busy with locals meeting for lunch - the food and service was delicious. We both had a healthy prawn broccoli... More

My wife and I stopped by here for breakfast on a spring morning; I had an exceptionally generous portion of granola with fresh fruit and yoghurt accompanied by a mint tea, whilst my wife enjoyed some danish and coffee. The food was faultless, only surpassed by an exceptional venue (look for a table in the conservatory), and thoroughly attentive staff.... More

The drink was ok albeit they had run out of one of the most popular Italian wines known to man. The staff were delightful, friendly, attentive and made you feel really good. But then the food arrived. Oh dear. The minestrone soup was exactly the same as the floating rubbish I pull out of my koy pond in my garden... More

I come to Manicomio whenever I have a chance and I'm down in Chelsea. Great location off Kings Road with a fabulous terrace which is unbeatable throughout the Summer and cosy during the Winter, with a number of heaters keeping you warm. The cocktail menu is extensive - I would especially recommend the Bloody Mary or the kiwi daiquiri. The... More

Manicomio serves amazing Italian food in a beautiful, relaxed setting. Their fresh, homemade pasta is to die for! I don't know anywhere in London that does it better. I had a three-course meal (a starter, seafood pasta as a main, and dessert) and everything was delicious and of the highest quality. Generous portion sizes and attentive staff that offer second... I can't think of a better place to be on a cold, wet March evening (especially after a miserable wait by the cash machine in Sloane Square, which failed to dispense any money - but that's another story...). After a glass of prosecco, a feeling of well being was restored! Absolutely delicious anti pasti, everyone loved their mains (mine was... More

We had an ok dinner at this restaurant about 18 months ago........so finding ourselves in Chelsea last night we thought we would return. We waited to be seated at the door for a good few minutes, several staff walked past us. We were just about to leave when we were approached by a waiter, we explained we wanted a table... More

Staying in Chelsea

Neighborhood Profile
Chelsea
Wealth courses through The King's Road, Chelsea's upmarket artery of West London life packed with shops, eateries and glitzy nightspots. For people-watching at its best and luxury retail therapy that's largely unrivalled, this area cannot be missed. But if this showy street starts to overwhelm or a moment of price tag shock sends you reeling, a quick detour down pretty much any of many King's Road veins will reveal a quieter side of Chelsea. Here the stately Royal Hospital hosts its world-famous flower show, and the Thames rolls along at a lazy pace, with leafy Battersea Park and its Peace Pagoda beckoning from across the river.
