The food was lovely and although it was busy the service was still very good. The staff were informative about the menu and gave advice on how much to order for our amount of people. Also very accommodating when we asked for some peach puree with our bottle of prosecco to make our own Bellinis at the table. Lovely place,... More

We got lucky on a busy Thursday evening and were sat at the bar. The barman made two superb Negronis and kept them coming throughout our stay - always with a smile. The food is fresh, vibrant, imaginative and very good. The pizzas were paper thin, crispy and topped with subtle and delicious ingredients. Bread crumbed olives are a revelation... More

We dropped my Polpo for dinner on a Wednesday evening. It was absolutely packed which is usually a great sign. I don't mind the no reservation concept, it generally makes things much simpler, but the meet and greet staff were more meeting and less greeting on arrival almost like they would prefer you went somewhere else. Ours grimaced when she... More

I visited Polpo early in June of this year and had what turned out to be a delightful little lunch. They encourage sharing dishes, quite like tapas and have a wide variety of small, interesting and tasty dishes on their menu. Prices, are of the tapas style as well - on the higher end and you end up paying a... More

Not much more to say than the heading. The staff were great and informative, but the food was very average pricey for what it was. Will not be going back in a hurry.

This is another one of those London venues whose location makes it too trendy to try. When you arrive, you are sent to the dungeon for drinks. It's hot down there as tens of others are also waiting for a table. There's only a couple of bar staff on hand to service a tiny bar where many of those waiting... More

I went there on Friday night for a drink and light meal. We ordered a bottle of Italian sauvignon blanc. It was a terrible cheap wine - one of those cheapest available in supermarkets. It was such a shame to shell over £20 for it! Fritto misto was also a disappointment - no taste and prawns were unpeeled and battered... More

I went here with my friend to celebrate her birthday. We decided to not make reservations anywhere and instead walk around central London until somewhere took our fancy. This restaurant looked nice and when we saw the menu, knew we needed to go in. There wasn't a table at first but we were seated at the bar and got drinks... More

I dont actually know where to start, our experience was so poor! My family and I have walked past this place many times before and the atmosphere always looked bustling. Finally, wanting to see what all the fuss was about we decided to give it a try for dinner last night. As we arrived the maitre d' was just finishing... More

A long queue for very disappointing drinks and food. Had a spritz which tasted like water, dirty glasses of wine and very disappointing food. Not worth the wait!!
