Description: The first UK restaurant to be awarded one, two, and then three Michelin stars, Le Gavroche remains a class apart. Since opening in 1967, this Mayfair bastion of French cuisine has been very much a family affair, and chef-patron Michel Roux Jr continues the tradition today. The elegance of the menu and the ambience is impeccably tailored, while the discreet service has won its own plaudits.

We dined here last night, 13th September, together with our family for our 4th wedding anniversary celebration This was our third visit and was as faultless as previous times The food, I had the scallops and bean starter was perfect, large plump scallops beautifully blended with the al dente beans The veal main was one of the best mains I... After running the reservation gauntlet, 'phone 9am exactly 3 months before, engaged until 9.30 at which point they're fully booked, and repeat daily. Mid week is easier, last seating at 1.30pm for lunch. We chose the 'business lunch' menu £54.80ea (12.5% service will be added) for 3 courses, half bottle wine and mineral water per person, coffee and petit fours.... More

Very disappointed. The bar was dingy and tired the dining room smelt of fish and chips from lunchtime. Had the Roast Scallops and Beans for starters which was nothing special and the beans not cooked. In general the food was very bland and lacking flavour. If you want a truly wonderful meal go to Koffmans at half the price.

We were pleasantly greeted and served with aperitifs, before long our table was ready and we all adjourned to eat - everyone opted for the Menu Exceptionnel - 8 courses, each matched with a wine and finished off with coffee and petit fours. each course was perfectly judged and served in a timely manner with style and grace. This is... More

The food at Le Gavroche is great and the lunch is excellent value. But they are busy enough to be booked up 3 months in advance so they just don't look after their regular customers; indifferent to the point of rudeness when you try to book on the dot 3 months' before (they don't take earlier bookings) as they know... Celebrating our 26th Wedding Anniversary and combined birthdays, I booked 3 months ago for the set 3 course lunch. Food was superb, lovely Alsace wine, very attentive and friendly service and Michel talked to every table. For £54.50 plus service each we got canapés, amuse bouche, 3 courses, unlimited bread, 1/2 bottle wine, 1/2 bottle of water, petites fours and... More

My friend and I were given a present last christmas, from our respective sons, Lunch for 2 and even though we had to wait until 8th September to be able to get a table it certainly was well worth the wait. From start to finish it was better than we could ever have expected. The food was superb, the service... More

We have been coming to Le Gavroche since the early 80's and always try to visit whenever we are in London. The set lunch is fantastic value although a little more expensive than the £25 we paid on our first visit. This time we had lunch with some old friends, and again the food and ambience was superb. Our friends... More

Four of us enjoyed a lovely evening. We had the tasting menu two of us with wine two of us without. There were a couple of alterations that we requested of the menu and this was dealt with faultlessly. On the whole this was a lovely experience, the service is impeccable the food is of course dependent upon personal taste.... More

This was our second visit. I was celebrating my birthday and a new job. We went for lunch and were made very welcome, the service was friendly and attentive. The food is amazing and the overall meal was very good value - had a wonderful time. Thank you.
