Description: The first UK restaurant to be awarded one, two, and then three Michelin stars, Le Gavroche remains a class apart. Since opening in 1967, this Mayfair bastion of French cuisine has been very much a family affair, and chef-patron Michel Roux Jr continues the tradition today. The elegance of the menu and the ambience is impeccably tailored, while the discreet service has won its own plaudits.

Well, I am absolutely astounded that Le Gavroche gets reviewed anything less than 5 out of 5. Let me start when we enter. My wife's coat is taken before we are led into the bar for drinks and canapés. Blanched and roasted almonds are put too. Homemade sausage rolls and celeriac canapés go down well with the house blanc de... More

Ate at Le Gavroche with my husband on my "zero" Birthday last week! What an amazing culinary experience it was. I knew we were in for a wonderful treat and was certainly not disappointed. I have been lucky enough to eat in some fabulous restaurants but Le Gavroche surpasses them all! The meal was an absolute gastronomic delight. Our table... More

Maybe the chef was having a bad day. We had the worst meal , very poor service. The dining room was gloomy. The soufflé arrived and was completely flat. I would never go there again and I certainly would not recommend this restaurant to friends.

Having to book at 9.30am three months to the day seems daunting but strangely, when the day arrived, it coincided with the day we exchanged contracts on our new houses so a wonderful day to celebrate! This was my second Le Gavroche experience and every bit as good as the first. Amuse bouche and a glass of pink champagne while... More

Restaurant service was second to none. Cutleries were continually refreshed. Attentive wait staff. Only equivalent to Le Bernadin restaurant in New York where everyone anticipated your most trivial motions. I got a bow before I entered Le Bernadin's seafood temple. Had a soup of cucumber and oysters. Thought it has to be good at Le Gavriche but it was not.... More

Me and my wife treat ourselves by every so often going to visit a Michelin starred restaurant as a treat, and this time we were lucky to get a table at this famous place. The food was brilliant and it cant be faulted, not even the pudding that came in 3 parts, it was great food and we got to... More

Yesterday I think I had one of the best meals I have ever had. The Ledbury has been on my radar for years and I finally decided to devote the time needed to securing a table. Not the easiest task. We went for lunch, to make the most of the meal, and had the tasting menu with wine and it... More

My husband and I celebrated our anniversary at Le Gavaroche. A fine French cuisine with a warm reception and service, from the Maitre De to Mr Roux himself. The food was superb! Although, we waited for four months for a table; we will be back for another very special experience.

We dined at the chefs library on Saturday for a friends birthday.(6 people). The food, wine pairing and the service were just amazing, I can not wait to return just book if you can get in. It's a must and probably the best restaurant we have ever been privileged to go to. Thank you so much until next time.

Le Gavroche is quite simply world class! The service from start to finish is simply in a different league even when comparing to other 2 star restaurants around the world. Everything is simply effortless. Although the set lunch is perhaps the best value in London it is quite hard not to stray onto the full menu as there is so... More
