Description: The first UK restaurant to be awarded one, two, and then three Michelin stars, Le Gavroche remains a class apart. Since opening in 1967, this Mayfair bastion of French cuisine has been very much a family affair, and chef-patron Michel Roux Jr continues the tradition today. The elegance of the menu and the ambience is impeccably tailored, while the discreet service has won its own plaudits.

I visited London during Christmas and my wife insisted to visit this Michelin star restaurant. Undoubtedly I enjoyed it! The atmosphere was really warm and the vegetarian menu just perfect. A little bit overpriced though, but I must admit it was something I was expecting.

We came here for my wife's birthday celebration with friends and family. The food, service and sense of occasion was truly perfect.

There is nothing to say that has not already been said. This is one hell of a restaurant. Booking is difficult, but once you are in, the experience is sublime. The service is *perfect*, and the food and marched wines are spectacular. Lucky diners may meet an amenable M Roux Jnr who will spare time to chat and pose for... More

We were visiting London early in the New Year and had tried unsuccessfully in December to book a table here. We were telephoned on the day a table came free and were able to juggle our time to dine on a Thursday evening. It was simply a fantastic and completely memorable evening. I had no preconceptions about the feel of... More

Was treated for my birthday and we went all out on the amazing taster menu. Up there with the best food I've eaten. Excellent service and met Michele Roux Jr too who was doing the rounds. Restaurant is downstairs so no natural light which might be a shame in the summer but well worthy of its 2 Michelin star status.... More

There’s a reason this place has two Michelin stars – the food is simply excellent. Considering this is such a highly-rated restaurant – I’d normally always opt for a taster menu at quality restaurants – this was one of the first where I ordered a starter, main and dessert. What I love about this place is, from the moment you... More

We had a great night here, table was perfect, restaurant decoration was very cool. Food was great. Staff were friendly, the owner even took the time to stop at the table to ask how we were enjoying the meal which is a first for me in a restaurant who's owner is more or less a regular on TV. This place... More
