Delightful

I visited for lunch as part of a group of eight last week. I must admit that for some the notion of having to wear a jacket and be "posh" was perhaps intimidating but there is none of this snobbery here. This is the 8th time my husband and I have eaten here, and it was just as good as it ever was. We came with my in-laws, who are both in there mid to late 80s. We came for lunch last Friday the 27th of February. Our table was booked for 12.30 but amazingly we arrived 30 mins early! We... More

Welcomed at the door and led to a comfortable plush bar area where the bar tender made me a beautiful cocktail while I browsed the menu, waiting for my partner to arrive. Upon her arrival we were escorted to a table with lots of space and we placed our order. The food arrived promptly, was served by friendly and knowledgeable... More

Amazing experience, wonderful menu and amazing food. Cost a bomb though but well worth it for a special occasion.

Without a doubt the nicest lunch I have ever eaten. Everything here was perfect, from the service the moment we walked through the door, the attention to detail, to the the beautiful fresh bread and the classic yet inventive menu. We chose from the business lunch menu which is possibly the best value quality lunch to be found in London.... More

After a few years absence you realise how good this restaurant is . From start to finish smooth professional experience. No silly invented astro food where You don't know what you are eating. Maybe old fashioned but in a very good way. The set lunch must be the bargain of London. You go away ready to conquer the world.

Was not impressed by the food, average at best, the atmosphere ok, the service excellent. The prohibitive prices are not commensurate to the food therefore no intention of returning.

Shiny service! Excellent food! And a unique wine cellar! Although the reservation was quite difficult it was finally worthy and make us feel so happy ever after. They treated us so carefully and in detail.. Thank you all!!!

This was our second visit and we were not disappointed. The service is very slick and the food sublime even if like us you try the amazingly good value £55 set lunch menu. Michel Roux spent time going around the tables which was a nice touch when nowadays so many "celebrity" chefs don't actually cook at their restaurants. The cheese... More

Neighborhood Profile
Mayfair
Set beside some of London's best parks and home to world-class galleries, luxurious hotels, and famed thoroughfares, the ultra upscale Mayfair is one of London's most exclusive haunts. Here the shopping is haute, the dining is exquisite, and the nightlife is vibrant. A casual stroll through the area’s chic streets will reveal that Michelin stars and chauffeured cars are practically the norm here. Even if you're on a tight budget, this exceptionally well connected swath of Central London is worth exploring, if only for the chance to take a peak at the goings on of upper crust English society.
