Description: This Green Park institution was a hit when it first opened its doors in 1947 and since then it has remained a favourite amongst Londons dining elite. The interior is similarly timeless, with a warm neutral colour scheme, monochrome photographs, and a popular bar that runs the length of the restaurant to ensure that solo diners or last-minute latecomers have somewhere to perch. Like its sister restaurant, The Ivy, its ideal for business lunches, romantic liaisons and special occasions alike. The menu showcases modern European favourites, presented with flair but without fuss, and includes classic dishes like Salmon fishcake with buttered spinach sorrel sauce; Bannockburn rib steak with Barnaise sauce; and dressed Dorset crab. An extensive wine list and flawless service completes the picture and makes for a truly unforgettable experience.

This place served our 12th drink on the monopoly pub crawl. Excellent service with some extravagant aubergines for starters .... I would recommend the veal for main. Please visit

This restuarant was recommended by a colleague and I am very glad that I listened. This is a great place for lunch. Entertaining a client and wanted somewhere to impress but where we could have a sensible chat over good food. The food was great, and the service outstanding a throughly great experience and one I would like to repeat... More

I thought it would be snooty but this is a relaxed yet elegant place with great service and food. It's casual and yet special and you could easily see yourself going there for lunch if shopping in London or a top dinner with your partner or friends. Cannot believe I did not go for so long and want to go... More

This place is classy without being pretentious... I have eaten here many many times and it always delivers great food and service. The cocktails are also very good indeed.

Let me start by saying that I didn't pay the bill, so I have no context to put this into, or ability to say whether it was value for money. That is the only reason that I'm giving the review 4 rather than 5 stars, as I suspect it might have been expensive. The ambiance on a Monday lunchtime was... More

Lovely restaurant - we arrived on a busy Saturday lunchtime to a waiting table - great service and excellent food but what we really enjoyed was the fantastic atmosphere and ambience

Would normally have eaten at The Ivy but as it was closed for reverb we thought we would try Le-Caprice. Le-Caprice has a lovely intimate Art Deco interior. The staff are very friendly and pleasant and the service very good. A little disappointed with the starter, but the Thai Sea Bass and Veal main courses were very good indeed. Deserts... More

we were a group of six and we had a round table. Why more top end restaurants do not have round tables baffles me. Our booking was for 21:30 on last Saturday. When we arrived the table was ready and we were served promptly but not hurriedly. Nice level of background chatter from a full room. Always a nice feature.... More
