Neighborhood: Mayfair / St James's / Piccadilly / Green Park
Description: This Green Park institution was a hit when it first opened its doors in 1947 and since then it has remained a favourite amongst Londons dining elite. The interior is similarly timeless, with a warm neutral colour scheme, monochrome photographs, and a popular bar that runs the length of the restaurant to ensure that solo diners or last-minute latecomers have somewhere to perch. Like its sister restaurant, The Ivy, its ideal for business lunches, romantic liaisons and special occasions alike. The menu showcases modern European favourites, presented with flair but without fuss, and includes classic dishes like Salmon fishcake with buttered spinach sorrel sauce; Bannockburn rib steak with Barnaise sauce; and dressed Dorset crab. An extensive wine list and flawless service completes the picture and makes for a truly unforgettable experience.

Went to Caprice to have grouse because it's a start of the season. First I got extremely salty one that it's soured my mouth. After my complain they brought me one which taste like a boiled one. Ideally grouse should be crispy. Was very disappointed about my meal Irina Popova

Read earlier reviews so bit apprehensive but what a place.Piano player in background Art Deco surroundings and great food.Doesn't look much from the outside but hidden gem. There as a treat as prices above my budget but if your thinking of going somewhere nice after a show then this place would be hard to beat.Hopefully I will be back one day... From a very noisy athmosphere, to no privacy, over a drunk piano player, to finish with bad, mostly frozen food. Far to expensive food, and I had to refuse 2 bottles before getting a drinkable one, that was just that. Drinkable. Advise. Dont' go.

We had a late lunch here four friends celebrating a birthday.. they had a chap playing jazzy music on the piano which really added to the atmosphere. Food was really yummy.. I had the crab starter and Thai sea bass for main and it was delicious..In fact all our meals were good which ranged from tuna sashimi to veal.. Even... More

This is a bit of a business atmosphere, and you feel like you have arrived. Check out the table next to you. You never know who it might be... Of course the service was perfect. Sea bass wrapped in banana leaves or the calamari with chorizo. This is great food!

It has been a long time since our last visit but Le Caprice is still great. The food is great and the atmosphere terrific. It is great to see Jesus still working the floor and Paul too and Iryna were wonderful people to meet and delivered a warm and friendly service. A great place

I had been looking forward to visiting the restaurant for some time as I have been to your sister restaurant The Ivy many times and always really enjoyed it. Unfortunately my visit two weeks ago with some close friends was extremely unsatisfactory. The service was far below what I would expect and was generally very inattentive. It took us ages... More

I must be one of the few people still alive with fond memories of the old Caprice. So the one and only time I went to the 'new' one must have been around 30 years ago. Went without a reservation after 11 on a Saturday night. Service welcoming and willing (even if they did get dishes the wrong way round),... More

We booked a visit to Le Caprice on Saturday night and were very disappointed by the average food and the fact that our plates were cleared away before we even had time to finish them! We felt very rushed. Le Caprice is quite old fashioned in terms of the food on offer and how it was presented. The live piano... More

Nestled down the side of the Ritz this restaurant's staff are warm and welcoming. Had the set 3 course menu and ordered some red wine to go with it. We were given some water also. There seemed to be more staff then customers. There were 5 customers including ourselves and 7 staff who continuously watched over and came to the... More
