Description: This Green Park institution was a hit when it first opened its doors in 1947 and since then it has remained a favourite amongst Londons dining elite. The interior is similarly timeless, with a warm neutral colour scheme, monochrome photographs, and a popular bar that runs the length of the restaurant to ensure that solo diners or last-minute latecomers have somewhere to perch. Like its sister restaurant, The Ivy, its ideal for business lunches, romantic liaisons and special occasions alike. The menu showcases modern European favourites, presented with flair but without fuss, and includes classic dishes like Salmon fishcake with buttered spinach sorrel sauce; Bannockburn rib steak with Barnaise sauce; and dressed Dorset crab. An extensive wine list and flawless service completes the picture and makes for a truly unforgettable experience.

Le Caprice lived up to all the expectations. The food was brilliant and the staff were impeccable. I would bring clients of family here any time.

I love everything about this place. The elegant art deco style, the efficient yet friendly service, the quality of the menu, the wide ranging wine list and the occasional pianist or jazz combo [which I like but my wife doesn't] all combine to create an ambience to enhance any visit. Even without live music, or when it's not busy, the... More

I love the intimate feel of the restaurant. As a single diner I felt very comfortable at the bar. I've been enough times to feel like its my local when in London. Great wine list.

You will find something for everyone on the menu here from a steak to a burger, a salad, seafood delivered with good service. Located behind the Ritz the location is great with easy access to the shopping on New Bond Street, a short walk to theatre land or green park. Try it!

I've been a few times to Le Caprice for lunch and dinner and I have never been disappointed. I came with my sisters for a trip to London last Saturday, the staff are attentive and never rush you through each course. The atomsphere is calm and relaxing, with jazz of a weekend. The food is beautifully cooked and presented. I... More

Le Caprice has been around for a very long time, and does not show it's age a bit, either in the staff, the premises, or the menu and cooking. It has always been serving top class food in a sophisticated setting that's comfortable, simple, and classy. The service is as good as it gets. The food is best described as... More

Enticing menu with lots of choices. A pianist entertained us with jazzy improvisations on Christmas tunes as we dined. Contemporary, formal atmosphere -- not all the men were wearing ties but everyone had a jacket. I enjoyed the heritage beet salad with goat's cheese and truffle honey dressing followed by the fillet and braised short rib of beef with caramelised... More

My first visit went like clockwork. Had to reserve weeks in advance, but table was waiting, service was attentive but not overpowering, and food was excellent. For me the test was Venison served rare - and it really was tender, moist - cooked perfectly. Clearly a popular (fashionable) restaurant with a buzz and a backdrop of a pianist to create... More

The staff were on top form - as they usually are. The food was delicious, there were 7 of us and each and every one of us couldn't fault any of it. My meal was absolutely delicious, wild mushroom tortellini, and venison - yummy! We have been here many times and yet again we were not disappointed. Thanks Jesus for... More

I have been coming here for a few years now and am always very happy with the food and service. My recent visit was no exception; staff were discrete and attentive and the addition of a vegetarian menu is very welcome. There was a pianist playing during our lunch which added to the ambience. We did have a couple of... More
