In London over the Easter weekend and following rave reviews thought we would try this restaurant. On arrival, restaurant was full, atmosphere good. Ordered food, nice, but as previous reviewers have stated, nothing wonderful for the hype. Service attentive. Had a 'nice' meal and if we were staying in the area would return but a fair trek from where we... More

I didn't know that english cuisine can be so delicious. From the starter to the dessert, every dish was created with so much love, it was like an explosion of different fantastic tastes in my mouth! The waiters were also very friendly and attentive.

I was extremely fortunate to be taken here as a birthday treat by my sister. She was really nervous about taking me out to dinner as I’m extremely fussy and love food! She booked this as a surprise. The restaurant itself is not too far from Southwark tube station. As this area is not that busy it appears people only... More

I'd been meaning to visit The Laughing Gravy for months since it having been recommended by several friends - some of which are often hard to please! From the moment we walked in we were not disappointed. The staff were exceptionally welcoming and were happy to help guide us through the delicious choice of wine and cocktails. As we were... More

We went here while on our honeymoon in London. The atmosphere was cool, but definitely not a totally "central" location. The service was good, but lacked personality, it was clear they were doing us a favor. The best part of the meal was the freshly baked bread! It was wonderful! The cocktails were very good and they had a very... More

Lovely decor, really pretty lighting. Enough noise to give it an atmosphere. Superb service, couldn't fault it. Food was nice but we weren't bowled over by it. Still hungry after two courses which is unusual for us but on the plus side it meant we got the cheese and biscuits. Not sure they should be the highlight of a meal... More

good food and friendly, but service a little slow and pricey for the ambiance and location. gastropub is the right label, but not a patch on Hope and Anchor nearby.

I don't normally leave negative reviews but The Laughing Gravy did not live up to the previous reviews that I've read about. My partner and I arrived 15 minutes before our table booking and we're told that our table was just getting cleared for us. This was fine so we sat at the bar with drinks. We were still sitting...
