We are regualr at eating out both in London and elsewhere. WE had been told of the Laughing Gravy and it seemed to have a good reputatioin. So we booked and found it. The decor we woudl have exected to reflect its name but actually is quite teh opposite -- somewhat dull an dboring. The staff were all great and... More

We found Laughing Gravy on Trip Advisor, so we made a dinner reservation, since it seemed like a popular spot. Inside, the restaurant is decorated well...kind of industrial chic. Our waitress was friendly, but not great in terms of service. She failed to keep our water glasses full, which is annoying. However, the wine and food was delicious. It is... More

There's a happy medium between not being rushed and the customer service being slow. this restaurant could improve by being a bit quicker and more attentive: - menus given to you on arrival - not having to call the waiter over to ask for the menus / to be served Having said that the food was delicious and very well... What a fantastic place to spend an evening with friends. Knowledgable staff who provide first class service combined with a wonderfully full and varied menu makes this a foody hot spot. We savoured every choice we made this evening and will definitely be visiting again

Had high hopes for this restaurant based on TA reviews. Unfortunately we found the Laughing Gravy distinctly average. The food was priced at London levels but failed to match. Over cooked lamb and dry pork belly well presented but disappointing overall. To be fair, the environment was buzzing and lively however the service was not. In our opinion the criticism... More

Great food, great service...good atmosphere. Scallop scotch egg, Venison Wellington strawberry and nectarine crumble all excellent... Well priced too for London. Strongly recommended

I came here with my family for my 21st birthday and I cannot fault it. The food was delicious and the service was excellent! They has no problem with us bringing our own cake and overall, was a great experience. I would recommend the crayfish scotch egg and the rib-eye steak which I devoured!

I hadn't been to The Laughing Gravy for a couple of years but we were in town for the athletics at the Olympic stadium with friends and I fortunately recalled just how good this was, as well as being convenient for Waterloo. Our friends were blown away by just how imaginative the menu is, as well as the friendly attentive... More

Their web site says that they're the area's best kept secret -they may be right. The atmosphere is casual but organized. A good mix of customers from young groups to older couples. From start to finish, the service was very friendly and efficient (our main waitress was Franki, I think). Then there was the food - this was Michelin star... More
