Lovely food and good service

My husband and I had a meal at The Laughing Gravy before we went to the Old Vic to see the wonderful High Society. Our meal was very good. We both had the scotch egg starter which was yummy. For our mains, I had the sea bass which was gorgeous, and my husband had the venison Wellington, which was... read more

A small, characterful place with an interesting menu seeing good quality food. Had a good meal but let down by the undercooked fish which was my main course. It was replaced with another. But by which time my friend had finished her main. I was disappointed that the bill didn't reflect this in anyway so raised it and was told... More

Visited this restaurant for the first time. It was a warm evening so had a table outside. The food, ambience and service were excellent. There is an imaginative menu that covers all tastes. Started the evening with a Sloe Gin Fizz cocktail which was very impressive. The food was well presented and tasted as good as it looked. The staff... More

Never stayed in this part of London before and were struggling to find an eaterie that wasn't absolutely rammed and lary. Just about to give up and go back to the hotel when we stumbled across this lovely little restaurant with room for two. Perfectly happy to accommodate our accessibility needs, even tucked our wheelchair away back of house for... More

I really enjoyed my dining experience here. Very friendly wait staff. Excellent drink selection - both for wine and alcohol. The food was delicious. We had the burger, the mac and cheese, the beet salad and the venison wellington.

I stumbled across this place 2 years ago whilst staying in a nearby Hotel in Waterloo. It was as if someone had asked me what my ideal restaurant would look, smell and sound like and then created it exactly like that. The decor was sheek and cosy and matched the music perfectly and the food was out of this world.... More

I cannot give this restaurant enough praise. The food, drink and service are impeccable. We all came as a group for a sunday roast, we were warmly welcomed and given a lovely outside table. The friendly waiter gave us our menus and talked us through a few things. We mostly had the roast beef, which was a brilliant choice! The... More

This place is very neat and friendly. We had no reservation but there was enough space, since we came to the restaurant early. I've eaten amazing beef burger and my spouse ate some pasta.. Everything was delicious, the staff was great!

Contemporary twist on British classics like Scotch eggs and venison Wellington. Carefully chosen wine list with reasonable prices. Really tasty and great service. My boys - in their early teens - cleaned their plates. So not just for adults.
