We came here with friends during a weekend in London and found through the positive reviews on TripAdvisor. We had a great night - what a brilliant place. The Laughing Gravy is a small independent restaurant within walking distance from Southwark tube station. There is a small bar and seating area adjacent to the entrance. Design is smart/casual/trendy chic -... More

After discovering Laughing Gravy this summer (via TripAdvisor), I've been three times for Sunday lunch... and each time has been fantastic! The restaurant itself is small and welcoming, with quirky and eclectic decor. By day it's bright and airy, and I imagine at night it has a lovely atmosphere as well. A mixed crowd of patrons creates a lovely vibe.... More

This restaurant got so much right, charming staff, the food promised much and a relaxed atmosphere, but........they got one thing wrong and totally failed to respond. A burger ordered well done, was served virtually red, it was charged for and the restaurant has totally ignored the subsequent opportunity to put this right despite my attempts to communicate with them. Failure... More

Hi, Thank you for your feedback on my restaurant. I am pleased to hear you enjoyed so much about The Laughing Gravy. I am very concerned and confused about your remarks regarding your burger and the way this was dealt with by staff and subsequently. We always work our hardest to ensure diners are happy with their food by talking... More

A small restaurant which serves excellent food and boasts a friendly and comfortable atmosphere on top is a rare beast in South London, if not London as a whole. The compact and inventive menu offers something for everyone and every single dish we ordered during our two visits within six weeks (three times for my wife!) was delicious. Service is... More

A great experience. Both the food and service were excellent. The menu is creative and the quality of food is second to none. The Laughing Gravy attracts a diverse crowd and offers a warm and comfortable atmosphere. A genuinely enjoyable evening out and I look forward to returning.

Whilst visiting London for a training course I decided to try something a little different after searching on trip advisor. This restaurant will not let you down. The food was fantastic, especially the horseradish celeriac puree that came with the venison wellington. The staff were also extremely friendly and talkative and served up the food in a timely fashion. This... More

Small restaurant near southwark tube station. I was early for my reservation and had a beer in the small but quaint reception area. Bar tender was friendly and asked if he should add beer to dinner tab, which was nice. I had scallop appetizer and burger portobello mushrooms and fried onions. Food was excellent and service was prompt and friendly.... More

The two of us had 3 course evening meals here in July and September. We thoroughly recommend everything about it -very good and imaginative food in a lively setting and excellent service from all the staff. All the courses on both occasions were great, but if asked to single out the highlights, it would have to be the desserts, which... More

Found this restaurant by walking past one day and immediately made a booking to go for dinner a few days later. It looks really inviting and I really liked the decor and the menu. It didn't disappoint! Considering we went midweek and quite late in the evening the place was still full. Really good atmosphere - buzzy enough, but still... More
