Looking for a pleasant place for evening meal

What can one say, very pleasant location. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Food is OK. That is the problem, just ok. I had the quail eggs starter and it was bit tasteless. At 8.50 not expected to be tasteless. Burger was ok. However when I got a bill for £35 not worth this. I don't mind paying... read more

I absolutely loved this place... The decor, atmosphere & ambiance are all spot on. The menu is interesting and all the food was executed well.. We had 3 courses and drinks for just under £140 and was worth every penny. Desert was the show stopper for me, although starter and main were just as good. Cannot wait to return and... More

Booked a table here based on other reviews on Trip Advisor and for its convenient location. What a fab place. Really great food and good service. Really can't fault it.

We celebrated our sons Graduation here and could not fault it, after reading many reviews we opted for The Laughing Gravy and what an excellent choice, from the moment we arrived the staff were very attentive and nothing was to much, the food was excellent along with the atmosphere, we shall return!

We absolutely loved The Laughing Gravy having been recommended it by a friend and then reading all the amazing reviews on here. We only had a few nights in London but this was the icing on the cake. Staff were friendly and attentive from the moment we arrived and most importantly they knew their stuff (which was lucky as we... More

Booked a table off the back of some good reviews since it was only then a short walk to the a show we were seeing on the south bank. Both Mum and I were both really pleased with the choice as the food was both amazing and reasonably priced. Mum's been on a health tip recently but still had options... More

I really wanted to love this place. The menu is interesting, the prices aren't bad (for London), the staff are pleasant. On the plus side, the stone bass was delicious; salted caramel cheesecake with peanut butter doughnut was outstanding; and it's excellent that so many wines are available in a 500ml carafe. Less positively, the menu felt a bit crowded... More

The staff are attentive, the cocktails are very good, the menu looks interesting and presentation is good. Sadly, the cooking lets this place down. The venison fillet Wellington sums it up: the meat was moist, but grey and rather tasteless. This was not poor quality meat, but lack of skill (or its application) in the kitchen. Other dishes were better... More

My husband and I came here for dinner on our anniversary. The service was fantastic, the espresso martinis were incredible and the food was delicious. Honestly couldn't have asked for a better night out. We'll definitely be going back in the future!

This was our first time dining at the Laughing Gravy and we were very impressed. We had the beef and lamb and although the beef was great the lamb was even better. The service was friendly and for London it's also really good value. When next in the area we will without doubt return.
