The best meal & restaurant I have experienced

When looking at treating my girlfriend to a surprise fine dining experience for her birthday I wanted to find somewhere new & not run by one of the TV celebrity chefs. After doing some research & deciding to book a hotel in Hammersmith I came across rave reviews for La Trompette. From the moment we... read more

The sauce of every dish was very gourmet and the lamb was tender. The food in this restaurant was balance and tasty. The flavor was not too heavy or strong. Especially soufflé was amazing.

Having looked at many restaurants and their reviews, we decided to book at La Trompette. As it was going to be for a very special occasion and money was not going to be an object as long as we could enjoy ourselves with good food, wine and service. La Trompette scores highly here and many reviews speak for themselves and... More

This is a really excellent restaurant now become extremely pleased with itself and therefore charging a bit too much. Highlights were the Hot Banana Souffle and the white bread. Lowlights were astonishingly smug French Wine Waiter, Maitre with Hands in Pocket and only approx 150g of Cod. Very good food but just rather an annoying experience. I won't be returning.

bearing in mind its size, busyness and extensive choice set menu. Our fourth or fifth visit and nothing to comment on apart from the cooking (excellent) the service (amiable and precise) and the ambiance (crowded and hence noisy but not intrusively so). We consider ourselves fortunate to have this and Hedone as our neighbourhood retaurants and suffice to say, when... More

Having eaten at the Glasshouse a number of times, I was keen to try sister restaurant La Trompette and so we booked for a Saturday night. I have to say, I was not disappointed, the food and service were wonderful. The menu is very reasonable at around £48 for three courses (some of the dishes do have a supplement) but... More

Fabulous. Couldn't fault the food or the service. Maitre D brilliant, Sommelier brilliant, Chef Brilliant. Best meal I've had in a long while. Would recommend to anyone.

The service here was excellent and the sommelier was brilliant. We told him what we'd ordered to eat and he recommended lovely wines to go with each course. The starters were good, but a little lacking in portion size. Shared a cote de boeuf with my husband, it was beautifully cooked and more than I could eat. So ordering the chocolate... More

This place is amazing. I have been back time and again and am always impressed. The service is faultless with a sommelier who isn't out to sell you the most expensive wine but rather the right wine. With food that has flavours that tickle and dance on your tongue. It can look intimidating with all it's white tablecloths and finely... More

We went for lunch last Sunday and enjoyed the meal so much we went again on the Thursday evening. The M'd is Kern who runs a tight ship; the staff are knowledgeable, friendly and efficient and I can't understand some of the negative reviews. This place is not cheap and the specials are of course extra to the set prices,... More
