La Trompette opened in 2001 and serves some of the best food in London but without the formality or prices associated with the capital’s top end establishments. We closed at the beginning of 2013 for a complete refurbishment, and have expanded to include a brand new kitchen, private dining and improved customer facilities. The new appearance has not changed the focus of the restaurant. The aim is as it always has been, to give all our guests the best possible dining experience from start to finish.

The service here was excellent and the sommelier was brilliant. We told him what we'd ordered to eat and he recommended lovely wines to go with each course. The starters were good, but a little lacking in portion size. Shared a cote de boeuf with my husband, it was beautifully cooked and more than I could eat. So ordering the chocolate... More

This place is amazing. I have been back time and again and am always impressed. The service is faultless with a sommelier who isn't out to sell you the most expensive wine but rather the right wine. With food that has flavours that tickle and dance on your tongue. It can look intimidating with all it's white tablecloths and finely... More

We went for lunch last Sunday and enjoyed the meal so much we went again on the Thursday evening. The M'd is Kern who runs a tight ship; the staff are knowledgeable, friendly and efficient and I can't understand some of the negative reviews. This place is not cheap and the specials are of course extra to the set prices,... More

Lovely food, great choice. Good service although a littke frenetic at the start. Attentive and knowledgeable, friendly staff with individual personalities. Melt in the mouth veal; intriguing chocolate pave and orange ice cream combination that worked really well, excellent cheese selection. To be recommended.

I have eaten at La Trompette many times. Last Sunday I went to the restaurant with an elderly neighbour who is also disabled. The staff made her feel very special and even gave her a bag of chocolates to take home. The service was wonderful and the food was excellent, but I do agree with the review that said the... More

After spending over 4 months in America , I was ready to go back to La Trompette and it did not disappoint. The cote do boeuf was amazing . I started with the crab starter which had a supplement of £5 , and I have to say it was a very small portion and to spiced up with Curry. Other... More

This restaurant has an amazing menu and serves fabulous food. We had a 7pm reservation and were welcomed by an efficient staff . However as the evening went on and things got busier so the service became more and more frenetic not helped by a maitre d' who didn't appear to be in charge of anything. We would definitely go... This used to be a great restaurant. Excellent service and food but our last couple of visits have left us very disappointed. The service is still very good but the food is no where near as good as it used to be. We complained and the Chef came out to speak to us and was so arrogant we vowed never... More

First date with new girlfriend so wanted to impress. I've been to LaTrompette a couple of times previously and had a very enjoyable time, although not for a few years. Selected from the lunch menu today and had the Watercress and Wild Garlic Soap for a starter and followed by the Beef. Both dishes were pleasant without blowing me away.... More
