I visited this restaurant for a quick late lunch. The sushi choices on the conveyor belt were more than limited (and mostly comprised huge california rolls). The sushi itself was average and there was no possibility to order something else from the menu.

Found this hidden gem last week after a friend told me about it. It's similar to yo sushi as it has a conveyable. However the sushi is 20 times better. The sushi is made there in front of you. And the sushi is fresh and great portions. Also it's such a casual dining experience it's fine to be alone. Different... More

A very good inexpensive lunch spot very close to Piccadilly - Regent St (A bit puzzled by references to Covent Garden as this restaurant is on the Mayfair side of Soho?) Good management of the conveyor as only a small number of dishes are put on it at any one time so little danger of the dishes getting dizzy. Very... More

Kulu Kulu in Covent Garden used to be one of my favourite places to get fresh affordable sushi. I went again this year but was disappointed. There is little variety going around on the belt and the rolls are not as good and tasty as I remember them. For the quality and variety on offer you might as well get... More

The first thing you notice upon entering the restaurant is the superb use of space. Although there is a separate dining table that seats four comfortably, most people choose to sit on barstools at the counter where the sushi passes in front of you upon a slowly travelling conveyor belt. The selection is good. There's a good selection of Maki... More

This is a gem in the bustling Covent Garden area. Been about 3 times and each time has been fantastic. Great fresh sashimi, nigiri and vegetable plates.

I like to think I know a bit about sushi being married to a Japanese girl and this place really is a gem. Superbly fresh sushi and sashimi and the teriyaki chicken is yummy. Prices are very reasonable for Central London and kids are guaranteed to love the conveyor belt service. We come here every time we visit London and... More

Some people have concerns over eating at conveyor belt sushi restaurants but they should forget them and head to Kulu Kulu for great, fresh food and lovely staff. Very good value too.

Brilliantly simple conveyor belt service with fantastic fresh Japanese food. Sashimi, Mako Rolls, Sushi and some wonderful little suprises trundle past your eyes The decor is basic but it doesn't matter - it's all about the food here. The pricing is very reasonable and the stuff unobtrusive but helpful. A gem of a place in the heart of Soho
