Very impressed

I was recommended this place for its delicious dishes and generous portions and indeed they delivered just that. Kulu Kulu is small, modest restaurant in the heart of Soho. Went there today and have been there before - modest place, the food is very good , the price reasonable for the area. Perfect for a quick solo lunch , however , I would not recommend to go there with friends and in busy time you have to eat quickly.

I took my dishes from the conveyor, though there is a menu for other orders. The rolls were large and served in pairs. Dishes were priced from 1.90 to 4 Pounds. Everything I ate was delicious. I particularly enjoyed the potato salad - something that is not typically on a sushi conveyor. Service as friendly and the overall price for... More

To me this is like a greasy spoon sushi place. A no frills, big taste and easy on the wallet. Simply a great place to met with friends or grab a quick bite. I love that I can just help myself to what every comes around of the conveyor belt. As little or as much as I want. I recommend... More

Although I love all the sushi restaurants I've visited in London (and I've tried the whole range from top end Roka/Nobu to the little guys like this), I always gravitate back to Kulu Kulu. This unassuming restaurant in the heart of Soho dispenses with the over-the-top decor and often overpriced dishes and just delivers delicious sushi every time. Either choose... More

For a quick lunch or pre-theatre supper you could not do better than Kulu Kulu. We have been going there for years, introduced grandchildren to Japanese food there, and they now go on their own if they are in London, as it feels like home to them. Relaxed, helpful staff, always a welcoming smile, reasonable prices, and delicious food. We... More

I just needed something fast without going to a mcds or something like that. They sat me immediately, the dishes were fresh and tasty and the pieces were huge! There were def some things i had no idea what they were, but overall this was a great experience.

Went to kula kula for lunch today while visiting a customer/friend. We had a fantastic lunch and I thought the portion and quality of the sushi was fantastic. Great place and will go against. Yo! Read and learn.

I have been visiting this conveyer belt sushi restaurant regularly for over 10 years and it remains one of my favourites although its one of those restaurants you could easily walk past without noticing it. Very little has changed in 10 years, the menu is pretty much the same, the prices are little higher which is to be expected. The... More

You will never find the best sushi at conveyor belt places but even so all the food tastes fresh and flavoursome. The pricing system works well and is very clear given the indications on the wall. I would definitely recommend this restaurant for small groups of people, it is a fun place to go!

Staying in Soho

Neighborhood Profile
Soho
The go-to district for a good time in London, Soho hosts a wealth of world-class theatres and a compelling lineup of cafes, restaurants, pubs, bars, and clubs. At Soho's core is London's original Red Light District and the epicenter of the LGBT scene – and thus the city's hottest nightlife. For shopping enthusiasts, Soho is not only the home of London's greatest concentration of boutique shops, but also the most strategic place to set off on a tour of the world's most celebrated department stores. In the southern part of the neighborhood lies Chinatown, with its multitude of delicious and affordable restaurants. Closer to the Thames, Chinatown's narrow and teeming lantern-lit lanes spill onto the expansive hub of glitzy Leicester Square.
