Best lunchtime place in London

This is my favourite sushi place in London. The staff are always very friendly and efficient, do not be put off by a big queue for seating at lunch, it will move quick and staff have always been realistic about waiting times. The food is excellent, really tasty and with great choice. If you... read more

The queues at lunch time can snake up the staircase - for good reason though. The sushi has always been excellent. And the little non-sushe bites are also great. The service is quick. The chefs in the central well will dish up something to your taste if you get their eye and request politely. And for a restaurant which is... More

Used to go quite regularly when I was in the City. Visited recently and it was still as delicious as ever. The queue still snaked up the stairs at lunchtime. Makes all other conveyor belt Sushi restaurants seem like McDonalds. The black cod was a very welcome additional to the choice of hot food and very reasonably priced.

Having eaten in Nobu I thought Nobu had no competitor, but when I came to dine in K10, I thought this is a wonderful Japanese restaurant. Fresh food and quite a lot of selection.

Having re discovered K10 after using it a lot 15 years ago, I've eaten her 3 times in the last couple of months, and whilst I haven't tried every conveyor belt sushi restaurant in London this is certainly the best I've been to. They have quite a few fusion/Nobu style dishes - yellow tail with Jalapeño chillies, Seared toro (... More

This K10 is closer to Moorgate station. It's only open during the lunch hours, there is a restaurant downstairs and it's cheaper than the other one I think. The lunch to take away is always great and worth the value that you're paying for. Lovely place to eat

I've walked past the take away shop and never realised there was a restaurant below. I would like to think it was an amazing discovery, but actually when we got down there , the place was packed and the queue even longer. Its pretty clear to see why. It is without doubt the finest conveyor belt Japanese restaurant I have... More

Good value, good service, good food. Try the chicken teriyaki! Also have a takeaway service which is ideal when in a rush.

Upstairs is a tiny and very popular (at lunchtime at least) takeout place, which does reasonably priced set meals. Downstairs, the seating is round a conveyor belt, with chefs toilin away in between. The sushi is much better than the main converyor belt rival, Yo Sushi. There is a wide choice of different dishes, including meat and vegetarian options. It's... More

Neighborhood Profile
City of London
From its ancient past as a Roman trading outpost to its 21st century status as the wealthiest square mile in the world, the financial district known simply as “The City” is one of London's most historic and fascinating neighborhoods. Here high rise office towers such as Norman Foster’s Gherkin mingle with Roman ruins and architectural marvels from virtually every era in between, including Christopher Wren's glorious St.Paul's Cathedral, and John Soane's dauntingly classicist Bank of England. This neighborhood is also home to some of the finest restaurants and plushest hotels in Europe, in addition to an assortment of of watering holes, upscale shops, and Tube stations. During the week, the City is abuzz with white collar workers going about their business; the weekend sees this area turn into a quiet haven for sightseers.
