Scampi and chips, sir?

Geales is a the sort of place you can get a very decent fish meal comprised of good and fresh ingredients, dished up simply and served with effortless aplomb. I love this place, the fish is always fresh, they have a variety of seafood items on the menu, great cod and amazing mushy peas. The staff are very friendly and the place is clean. Great to business lunch as well. They have a nice beer selection and wine list too. You can go wrong with Geales!!

We stop by here on every other trip to London or so and usually give if a four...this time the fish and chips were excellent and the service was right one. We may visit every time now.

Last year I had a very disappointing meal, but returned again after some months to find totally revamped. New Chef was amazing and maitre d' as terrific. The fish was so fresh, I had sole, my wife had the haddock and it was amazing. Lovely to see it back at the top of the game and we will definitely be... More

We found this place by chance, tucked away in a lovely little side street close to Notting Hill tube. Only one other table occupied when we arrived at 1pm, but was quite full when we left. We both had Fish, Chips and Mushy Peas which were good. Pleasant service, good position, (must be great in the summer with the doors... More

For those of you who know this part of London or who love fish and chips, Geales will be like an old friend. Generous tasty portions, well cooked with attentive and friendly service. This restaurant will not disappoint fish lovers.

Different fish fillets options, greaaaat battered crust. Delicious chips. The only bad experience in there is their urge to close. Sometimes before the official closing hours. If you make a booking, try to arrive earlier, just to make sure. Still, the fish will be worthy.

Dinner with friends. We all prefer Red wine, food and wine 'matching' being nonsense. Their are 3 choices of red, only one, a Fleurie at 36 pounds being the only one in a bottle. Its mediocre and way overpriced plus despite a 400% mark-up a further 12.5% service charge is automatically added. The food was good, fish and chips, fish... More

Not busy, simple but very grey restaurant, good cod and chips. Friendly service....But it seems to have forgotten it's history...it's been around a longtime!

Wanted to try this restaurant for quite a while now, went on a Wednesday evening @ 7pm was a bit disappointed that so early in the night they had run out of dishes. The fish and chips was very nice the batter was light and well cooked so no complaints there but the service really let the place down very... More
