Great coffee and cake, brilliant location near the Tube.

My wife and I stopped here on a Saturday, late morning, for a coffee and a piece of cake. I had read the stories of how it was in a battle to survive against the odds - rents, coffee chains etc, and I was pleased that it seems to have won that particular battle. We had a great cup of... read more

I've been here a few times in the last few years. The savoury food (especially the salt beef sandwiches) are fantastic, but the desserts are a let down. I'm really glad that this place won it's battle against the developers as the West End needs independent businesses and I'd happily go here for lunch, but I wouldn't go if I... More

Every variety of soup, salad and snack you can imagine; Latkes, fritters, Strudel, Baklava and Beigels, from Europe to the Meditteranean and the Middle East, and it all tastes as good as it looks. Take some time to get a good look at what's on offer at the counter before choosing, it can get busy and rushed sometimes. Very good... More

My wife and I normally eat at the Crypt but we discovered cheese in both menu options and as I'm allergic to it now unfortunately, we headed here after I'd spotted it on the way to Barking in Essex some months ago. Even the window display is appetising - giant trays of gorgeous looking vegetables, beans, pulses and salads of... More

Meeting friends in theatre district, I was surprised that they wanted to eat in a deli for before -performance supper. I was surprised again to see that it was the place I'd been taken to a couple of years ago by a foodie friend. The third surprise was the most important: the food of course. I'm told the proprietor is... More

A great place to eat some delicious salads and many other Mediterranean dishes. The prices are very reasonable for the West End. Seating is cramped and the service can be brusque, but go there for the food.

Having been drawn in by the smell of fast food, we were disappointed with the fare! Fallafel in a wrap was very disappointing as it was a little dangerous on anyone with fillings. The humus was delicious but the wrap was cold. Presentation is everything and the wrap should have been dampened and microwaved to freshen up. The salad could... More

Like the previous reviewer I've been visiting Gabi's for longer than I can remember. Easily the best falafel in London and the range of salads are a treat. It's really reasonable considering how central it is and I hope it remains in London for as long as it can.

I have been going to Gaby’s for over 10 years, I cannot explain why I haven’t posted a review until now. Perhaps it’s the consistently excellent falafel which have been voted the best in London. Gaby’s is a friendly delicatessen style restaurant, perfect for lunch or for pre/post theatre meals. There is an extensive range of salads on offer, the... More
