What a cute independent little Deli. Just off Trafalgar square, serving delicious Mediterranean dishes (you will have a hard time choosing) at very reasonable prices.

Not the best ambiance but for a value takeaway or quick snack cant be beaten in the West End Salt Beef / Falaffel / massive salad selection - I recommend the lentil soup (I need the recipe)

I've been to Gabys many times because it was the first place I ever had falafel and I think it's great. I always get the falafel and hummus. It's a generous portion and it's very cheap. The food is really decent but not amazing. It's almost worthy of 5 stars for the price. The only negative is the tables and... More

In an area full of overpriced restaurants and tourist traps is good to know that there is still this place where you can get Down to earth food reasonably priced. Easy to be missedd at Charing Cross just opposite Windham Theatre Nothing to fancy but ggod enough to fill you up and continue your London trip Regards

Been to this lovely café/deli in Charing Cross Road a few times in the past few years, and the salt beef bagels are still gorgeous. Would have been a five star review but for a couple of things. Still great quality, but feel it's just a little overpriced now at £8.50 for the stuffed bagel, and the bit of accompanying... More

Whenever my friend & I stay in London (every few years for several decades) it had been our custom that no sooner the cases deposited at the hotel then we enthusiastically head straight to Gaby's for a salt beef sandwich. But sadly, this deli has had our patronage for the last time. The most recent visit most disappointing, to say... More

It's now well-known that the clientele fought to keep this open when it was threatened with closure for a franchise operation. An utterly unpretentious diner with Middle Eastern and Jewish-style deli, down to Formica table tops and cheap napkins. The the salt beef was lean and tender, the felafel in pitta as good as I've ever had. Not up to... More

Whilst sight seeing we called in at Gaby's for an afternoon snack. I have been here before and my second trip did not disappoint. The setting is a great cafe with interesting photos of the stars on the walls, you can stare away for hours! The salads are always fresh and they serve the best falafel in town. I had... More

Right on Charing Cross Road in the middle of the theatres sits Gaby's Deli. A friend suggested for lunch and I went being very dubious indeed. It was in the heart of Theatreland and on of the most tourist ridden parts of London. What I found when I squeezed past the queue at the counter was a great old fashioned... More

I remember a great atmosphere and delicious food. When I visited a couple of weeks ago both had gone with the previous owners. The Italian waitress was charming but that was it. The food was so so. I had the signature Saltbeef sandwich. It was OK. What really wound me up was I was charged £2.00 for a sliced gerkin.... More
