Great Middle Eastern food

Great Middle Eastern and Mediterranean food at reasonable prices. The Falafel & Salad Pitta was lovely and filling. A little gem of a place that's very close to Trafalgar Square and well worth a try.

From the outside, this deli does not look all that promising, but we had delicious food. There is a wonderful selection of hot or cold salads, very full pittas, bagels etc. I chose the salt beef sandwich with pickle, which was to die for. Meltingly soft meat and crunchy pickle. My partner had falafels in a pitta which was stuffed... More

I have been coming to Gaby's for more years than I care to remember and have always had a good experience. However, today the service was lamentably bad. I don't know if the two waiting staff were having a bad day but they were not only slow but managed to be inattentive and sullen at the same time. We waited... More

Very average food, lacking flavour, service was poor, also ended up being an expensive lunch break, typical of a cafe around leister square/Covent garden aimed at tourists who won't be going back,

If you are on a budget and want to eat good, fresh food with some exciting salads then you can't go wrong in Gaby's Deli. Don't worry if you can't get a table, it's a fairly small restaurant, you can order the food to takeaway and then take a short stroll to Leicester square or to the pedestrianised area outside... My friend Gill took me to London to take in a show and we walked past this place and looked in the window at the deli array not thinking we would come back that way but we are both so glad that we did. Gill is well traveled and has dined in some amazing places but was able to say... More

Gaby's is in theatreland but it is easy to walk past it. A relatively small café/deli which serves Meditteranean cuisine. The café is small and intimate with little expense spent on décor, presumably letting the excellent food speak for itself. The prices are very reasonable for the West End of London - compare their excellent salt beef sandwich with the... More

My wife and I stopped here on a Saturday, late morning, for a coffee and a piece of cake. I had read the stories of how it was in a battle to survive against the odds - rents, coffee chains etc, and I was pleased that it seems to have won that particular battle. We had a great cup of... More

I've been here a few times in the last few years. The savoury food (especially the salt beef sandwiches) are fantastic, but the desserts are a let down. I'm really glad that this place won it's battle against the developers as the West End needs independent businesses and I'd happily go here for lunch, but I wouldn't go if I... More

Every variety of soup, salad and snack you can imagine; Latkes, fritters, Strudel, Baklava and Beigels, from Europe to the Meditteranean and the Middle East, and it all tastes as good as it looks. Take some time to get a good look at what's on offer at the counter before choosing, it can get busy and rushed sometimes. Very good... More
