We've eaten at Gaby's a lot and were delighted to see that it hadn't been sold! The food is great value and always a high standard. I had salad and my husband a falafel pitta. The room is a little crowded, but given the location, it's hardly surprising! What it lacks in style in makes up in flavour!

Get away from the many fast food chains and visit a classic deli. If you want real food served by people who care about their customers, this is a place to visit. They have real food and real service. Not too spicy, not to plain. Lots of choices in the deli case and on the menu. Take time to read... More

I have visited Gaby's often in the past and have enjoyed my food there. I visited the other day and chose the humus special. It was very poor. The falafel's were like cheap second hand rissoles. Second hand in the sense that the taste had apparently already been chewed out. They were on top of a sort of soup made... More

I was introduced to Gaby's by a friend back in the 1970s when I lived in London and now eat there whenever I am back in town. I recommend it to friends who are visiting too. The felafel are delicious, so is the salt beef on rye with pickles & salad, the latke and all those wonderful salads. So I... More

Gaby's is an 'institution'. I have been coming here for years since I first entered the theatrical profession and during the time I worked as a singing waitress two doors away. For the past couple of years it has been in danger of closing but thanks to hundreds of us signing petitions, writing to MPs and actors coming in to... More

Having only grabbed takeaway before, I sat in for some quick pre-dinner/post-shopping food on a Saturday night. Speedy and easy service, just what we needed, The food is just perfect, crispy falafels that are light and non-greasy and proper hummus that bears no relation to the rubbish in supermarkets. Cheap wine was great too and salads were a delicious fresh... More

Just look through the window and you will see the freshest of green salad. Or how about hummus plus many other middle eastern delights. It is as good as the first time I went in there and that was 45 years ago.

I've by-passed this deli for years until a friend brought me there recently. If you like salads, real food and avoiding chains, at a reasonable price, this is the one for you. I never saw the point of falafels until I tasted theirs - crunchy outside, moist and tasty inside. Delicious variety of salads and the cappucino was good too.... More

I love gaby's. It's a breath of fresh air to have an independent cafe in a sea of uninspiring chains. Ok, the service is a bit curt but the salads are fresh, the falafel is excellent and salt beef is succulent. I know they've been fighting to stay open as the area is being redeveloped and i sincerely hope they... More
