Great falafel and hummus

I have been coming here for years and it hasn't changed. Great falafel, hummus and a choice of lovely salads for a reasonable price. Good value and filling meals for a quick bite when in the West End.

On our recent London trip we decided to try and avoid the restaurant chains. We were heading to Foyle's and a quick google search gave us this place. The old guys at the take away counter seemed cheerful enough although the surroundings was more East End eel pie shop than West end deli. Anyway we were seated in a corner... More

Stopped by for a bite before theatre, attracted by other reviews, picturing it as the best falafel house in London. We dont agree, falafels were ok but nothing special. Pitta bread was dry with little humous. Very fairly priced

Sorry, but not as some described, some authenticity in taste but seemed food had been prepared days ago. Falafel hard, dolmades sloppy & disintegrating.mixed grill not as described. Plates were greasy. Crowded, dirty & unkempt. What a shame ! Very expensive that seems to rely on it's former glory to justify prices.

I've been going to Gaby's Deli for years. Always very enjoyable. Somehow it seems less Jewish and more Mediterranean nowadays. The character is unchanged. Try the specials, when they are good they are well worth it.

Tiny thespian haunt, atmospheric and friendly, cheap and cheerful, full of posters of theatre plays and other actorly stuff. Takeaway or sit down. The Middle Eastern salads are lovely, but really the delicious plateful of humus topped with tahina at £4.50 is fantastic value. A longstanding institution on Charing Cross Road, close to the National Gallery and National Portrait Gallery,... More

I stopped here for a quick take away lunch. What caught my eye was the appetising display in the window and I dithered for a while before going in. I'm glad that I did. I had a falafel salad box and it was very tasty, lovely crispy outside on the falafel (no soggy stuff here). The price was reasonable and... More

Family run deli restaurant where food is not overpriced but tastes great and all prepared on premises. Staff can be a little grumpy, but that adds to the charm. The owner is lovely to chat with and obviously proud of his food. Often call in there for a lunch between exhibitions as it is so well placed and much better... More

From the outside, this deli does not look all that promising, but we had delicious food. There is a wonderful selection of hot or cold salads, very full pittas, bagels etc. I chose the salt beef sandwich with pickle, which was to die for. Meltingly soft meat and crunchy pickle. My partner had falafels in a pitta which was stuffed... More

I have been coming to Gaby's for more years than I care to remember and have always had a good experience. However, today the service was lamentably bad. I don't know if the two waiting staff were having a bad day but they were not only slow but managed to be inattentive and sullen at the same time. We waited... More
