The Engineer is a relaxed, friendly neighborhood Dining Pub that has built its reputation for Organic, responsibly sourced food over the last fifteen years.

With a beautiful restaurant, courtyard for summer dining, and function rooms available for hire, The Engineer is the perfect place to relax with friends and enjoy some serious food and drink in very un-serious surroundings.

The food is an eclectic mix of super-fresh, well sourced ingredients influenced by many cuisine types and all made on the premises. There is an equally interesting 120+ bin wine list available too; focusing on small boutique producers in interesting places, organic and bio-dynamic wines and exceptional value for money.

Snotty service, average food

I don't normally write reviews but after Sunday I feel compelled to share my experience of this place. I visited here for a Sunday roast, having been before about a year previously and had a good meal. We were sat down and handed menus with barely a word uttered.. After sitting there for 10 minutes... read more

Used to be great. Awful food, indifferent staff. Empty when it used to be packed. How could it change so much....never again...

Very rude and unhelpful staff. Food quality is clearly decreasing while prices are not (owners changed ?). Not as goog as it was.

I took clients from the US for an English Pub dining experience. On being seated we were told that food needed to be ordered from the bar. However the bar was some way from the table, which meant that all the orders had to be written down by our table, seven were dining, so all the choices could be remembered.... More

This used to be our go to for Sunday brunch . Never ever again. Serves this chain right for taking away the lease from the previous independent owners . The food was so awful tasted of perfume over cooked and dry . We just left and went to have a panini ! The wine list is terrible and it used... More

Went for lunch with a girlfriend, the food was tasty, we had a smoked chicken caesar salad and a cauliflower, kale and cheese tart, but with 2 small glasses of Pinot Noir it came to £40...plus you order from the bar. So in terms of value for money it is expensive. Nice place, good atmosphere, very busy on a Friday... More

Okay-ish food, but appalling service. You have to order food at the bar which is okay in itself but staff were rude and extremely unhelpful. Refused to provide a glass of tap water. One waitress knocked over a wine glass (half full) while clearing and barely apologised. Such a shame since, under previous ownership, the restaurant was lovely and service... More

We came here for new years eve dinner - the place is OK but the service is pretty poor. Food is not bad but overpriced. I would not return.

We love this place. It's got a great beer garden and has a wide range of drinks in offer. Lots of ales, a great selection of wines and some unique cocktails. They also do great food (lunch or dinner). The design of the place is shabby chic and works well in the area. Thanks

Above average pub food. Always great service. The garden in back is a great way to spend a sunday afternoon with a yummy roast. Nice location away from the craziness of Camden and a short stroll from Primrose Hill. Good beer selection. A solid choice any time of day.
