Worse than average - no relation quality/taste and price (overpriced)

We were several people and tried all tapas, a main course, etc. All people of our group agreed that the tapas were in the best case average, some of them really bad. Met 3 other couples here one Thursday night in February 2015. The restaurant was 'alive' and very busy. Service was excellent and food extremely tasty and plentiful! The wine was chosen by a friend in 'the know', and this was extremely good. ITs not cheap (£120 a head) but we had a great night with complimentary liqueurs to finish! We... More

Very good tapas Restaurant: gambas al ajillo (shrimps with garlic), tortilla española (spanish omelette,) etc etc. Good atmosphere and noisy like in Spain.I higly recommend this restaurant.

A first visit here for a lunch on a quiet Wednesday was a great experience: we worked our way through five tapas (one very small) and two main courses and were left with the sense that there is some serious talent in the kitchen here. We were also left wanting to try the many dishes we'd overlooked. Whether it be... More

Upon our arrival to Kensington, our hotel concierge recommended several restaurants within walking distance of our hotel. Cambio de Tercio was one of the ones mentioned. It was Robbie Burns Day so we found it difficult to land a space to dine since we had no reservations. So we were received into the Tapas restaurant as we were the early... More

My wife and I travel about 25 miles to dine at Cambio and we have never been disappointed .The menu changes constantly and the kitchen produces an imaginative selection of variations of Spanish food . One is greeted , and treated , as one of the family by a super staff who are constantly attentive to one's needs without ever... More

I have eaten in this place for nearly 20 years. Over that period it has moved from being a traditional Spanish restaurant to one that serves more modern versions of Spanish cuisine. The food is tremendous, combining real Spanish ingredients and flavours with novel twists. The wine list in extensive; and the service is charming and helpful. We had dinner... More

Visited Cambio Fri 23 Jan during a trip back home from Dubai where good tapas is seriously lacking. I'd heard good things but it really exceeded expectations. All of the dishes were absolutely delicious, inventive and well thought out. Stand outs were the foie gras and slow baked tomatoes. Service was very attentive and authentic, was also nice to speak... We wanted to venture out and try a different kind of fine dining cuisine. This place delivered! With an extensive menu of tapas and main dishes to excite your tastebuds- we enjoyed a number of them! I would thoroughly recommend the amazingly presented chocolate coconut dessert & wash it all down with the house sparking, which was amazingly palatable (Juvé... More

I have been to Cambio and its sister restaurants and this time was no different, exceptional! i booked the private area at the back of the restaurant for 16 people and we chose one of their tasting menus. Every course was beautifully cooked and tasted as good as it looked. the service was top class, friendly but not fussy. and... More

Neighborhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
