I took my 2 sisters (one over on holiday from Canada) to the Rose Lounge for our first 'traditional' afternoon tea. Unfortunately after this experience I think it will probably also be our last. The Rose Lounge is very pretty and a lovely place to spend a couple of hours, the harpist adding to the relaxed atmosphere. All was going... More

The waiter who was half Spanish & help Polish was very attentative. Food was good. The surroundings were classically English like sitting in someone's sitting room :).

A wonderful time in the rose lounge....The service was impeccable. ..The food was divine the sandwiches and scones were replenished as often as we wanted. The French pastries were divine...A wonderful experience hidden in central London. ... All should try and get there...

Afternoon yea today was splendid! Myself and my 4 year old daughter throughly enjoyed ourselves. The tea was great, delicious sandwiches and three different kinds of scones! You also get to choose your own cakes! My daughter loved that bit! We also had the best ever waiter! He made our day! I will defiantly be back!

I have been here three times, both as part of a couple and with friends. The hotel is extremely central, close to Piccadilly and Pall Mall, thus perfect for a shopping break or a romantic break. Staff is efficient, discreet and pleasant, tea selection is wide, and the lounge itself is a sight for sore eyes, with warm colours and... More

A lovely room and attentive service for afternoon tea. My daughter and I were seated by the fireplace filled with candles. It looked cosy and comfortable. My only grouse would be that the armchairs were really deep and faraway from the table which made talking a little harder than it might have been. The harpist was excellent, playing a mixture... Gorgeous afternoon tea. Lovely little scones, the most fabulous range of teas which you must have without milk! A champagne cocktail and delicious pastries. All in a traditional afternoon tea setting with a very talented harpist.

The Rose Lounge is fantastic, really lovely and pink, and the harpist adds to the atmosphere. The food was overall very good, however I agree with previous comments that 3 or 4 smaller cakes rather 2 large ones would have been ideal. Only one pot of tea each though which was not enough. My main complaint is the service charge.... More

My friend and I booked an afternoon tea here. We looked up afternoon teas in London online and found a website that listed all the places that received an award for 2013 for their afternoon tea, and the rose lounge was on the list and we chose it because we liked the photos and the reviews we found. We had... More
