Great new(ish) location for a piece of London's dining history

I have eaten a number of times at The Blue Elephant when it was in its previous location in Fulham and it was always a great experience. Now they have moved to the riverfront location just net to Chelsea Harbour and have a totally new look and feel. The old restaurant had a number of water... read more

I dunno what the bad reviews are about.... This place is in a beautiful area by Chelsea Harbour, the restaurant is large and wonderfully decorated! The staff were aware of our requirements (from the booking info) and gave us a table taking these into consideration. They allowed us to take our time and order at a leisurely pace. They offered... I had heard so many amazing things about Blue Elephant and decided to go with a group of people on the weekend for a meal but really was quite let down.... The menu is set up in the most unnecessarily confusing way which took all of us a while to decipher and work our way through by which point everyone... More

I've not been to Blue Elephant while - quite a few years ago I had decent dinners there. So when my brother booked Blue Elephant for a mothers day lunch buffet, I thought it would be decent. Despite that my impressions of buffets, in the UK at least, being rubbish, I was actually looking forward to this. Unfortunately, my rule... More

As a family we used the old Blue Elephant at Fulham Road to celebrate special occasions. Sunday branch was a special treat for whole the family, we went there since the kids were at face painting age and celebrated birthdays anniversaries all the way through trough to the kids university graduations.

I have been to the Blue Elephant many times when it was in Fulham Broadway and it was amazing . Sadly this is not true anymore. The business has changed hands and is owned by Indians trying to cook Thai food . I am a vegetarian , my starter was lovely , but my main course was cold and was... More

Went for a family meal at their new location at Imperial Wharf. Restaurant was gorgeous, and looked authentic. But regret that's where the positives end. Service was very slow and slack. They did not acknowledge even once during our meal if we enjoyed it or not. The duck, pork and chicken were as tough as boots. Needed a sharper knife... More

Nice food, atmosphere is nice as well, but the bill was very very large for not such a great meal. There are lots of asian authentic places in town, Blue Elephant is relying on its reputation but needs to change and vamp it up a bit to see me again....

It's expensive but also delicious. It was a wonderful experience, even though I don't really know the names of the dishes I had! Very spicy and very satisfying food. The decor and location are also a plus!

Went for a family meal at Imperial Wharf, the location and building is very impressive reminding me of Dubai where our son who was dining with us lives. The food was awful, not freshly cooked and full of what seemed to be monosodium glutamate, it was very glooopy, not what you expect from what is supposed to be a top... More

Neighborhood Profile
Chelsea
Wealth courses through The King's Road, Chelsea's upmarket artery of West London life packed with shops, eateries and glitzy nightspots. For people-watching at its best and luxury retail therapy that's largely unrivalled, this area cannot be missed. But if this showy street starts to overwhelm or a moment of price tag shock sends you reeling, a quick detour down pretty much any of many King's Road veins will reveal a quieter side of Chelsea. Here the stately Royal Hospital hosts its world-famous flower show, and the Thames rolls along at a lazy pace, with leafy Battersea Park and its Peace Pagoda beckoning from across the river.
