We came here for a family celebration. The occasion was a real treat and the meal was everything we wanted it to be. We had a variety of dishes from the diverse menu and everyone enjoyed their meal. The wine list was extensive - if rather pricey - however we were able to find some lovely wines at the more... More

Utterly wonderful meal at The Bleeding Heart restaurant yesterday evening. We used the £30 meal deal and with the help of the waiter, chose a different wine to go with the venison and he chose very well indeed. I cannot think of a single negative thing to say about this restaurant. Impeccable service, outstanding wine selection, fantastic food, lovely ambience... More

Visited the restaurant on September 16 for a family gathering of 5. Venue was good, great atmosphere and staff were very attentive. Recommended venue, Had tried to go to the sister "bistro" venue but that was fully booked.

Bleeding Heart Restaurant comes highly recommended. This has to be one of the best meals I've ever had in a restaurant. The Bleeding Heart restaurant / bistro / crypt are steeped in history & this all adds to the ambience. The waiting staff were attentive & courteous & were genuinely happy to answer questions. Nothing was too much trouble. The... More

As the title suggests the food was very good and the dining room is fantastic but the service was very substandard for a restaurant of this calibre. We constantly had empty wine glasses, if they want to keep the wine off the table then they should monitor more closely. Also from asking to look at the wine list again to... More

My very most favourite restaurant and a regular haunt for lunches. Wonderful ambience and a strong French flavour in the service . Excellent choice on the menu and an appealing menu of the day plus an extensive wine list.

We needed a good restaurant in London and I remembered the Bleeding Heart as somewhere I had been many years ago when I was working in the City. The restaurant was every bit as good as before. We chose a menu of 3 courses including a glass of champagne for £30, the food was beautifully prepared, a bottle of Pouilly... More

My latest visit was for a business dinner for six including several Europeans well used to fine restaurants in Paris, Amsterdam etc. so I didn't want to take any chances. The requirement was for somewhere quiet and private to discuss business and this place is ideal. The history of its name and the wonderful décor can't help but impress but... More

We booked this restaurant to celebrate special birthdays. From the moment that we arrived (I arrived 20 minutes early, was shown to the table, asked if I wanted to read a paper while I waited and if I wanted a drink), the service was impeccable. Three of us had the set menu (a bargain at £30) and three had a... More

Went for business lunch. Reservations was slick and phoned day before to confirm booking. My fellow diner went for the set price lunch and ordered off the a la carte menu. He said it was one the best lunches he had had for a long time. I had scallops for starter - marvellous, baked halibut for main - delicious and... More
