Hakkasan Hanway Place is the original Hakkasan restaurant. This Michelin-starred Chinese restaurant designed by Christian Liaigre, has re-created the luxurious glamour of the past by combining Chinese history, tradition and architecture. Wooden lattice screens carved out of dark English oak invite discerning guests for a unique dining experience with contemporary cuisine from Chef Tong Chee Hwee. The menu has a strong Chinese ethnic identity with an ethos of Cantonese cooking that will be informed by a progressive approach, underpinned by authenticity rather than traditionalism. The bar has created an innovative range of Asian inspired cocktails that can be enjoyed Thursday to Saturday night at Ling Ling, the late lounge. The Taste of Hakkasan, designed for 2 to 7 people is available 7 days a week during lunch and Sunday-Wednesday for pre or post-theatre dining. Hakkasan Hanway Place have recently launched 'Dim Sum Sundays': a weekly lunch event hosted by resident lounge DJs, available every Sunday from 12:00 until 17:45.

Went here with my mum, wife, sister and nephew to celebrate my 30th. I love Chinese and oriental food (have travelled a lot in Eastern Asia). We had the Taste of Hakkasan menu, which was great value. Dim sum were lovely, duck roll not oily, mains well cooked and flavoursome. Shame the accompanying veg was limited with the main. Would... More

Delicious and creative presentation of Chinese specialties such as peking duck. The set menu has an incredible amount of food. I was stuffed by the end. The service was fine. The place is noisy and it was hard to have a conversation the whole meal. The food really is quite good.

This was our second visit to Hakkasan @Hanway place and it was as good as the first one: amazing service- waitress and sommelier were very professional and helpful. We also took advantage of a tasting offfer: 35£ pp: included cocktail and 3 dishes - the rib eye is highly recommended! We r looking fwd 2 our next visit :)

After a great meal with work colleagues, returned with the better half for a full on dinner with wine and cocktails. Chose the £65 set menu and wasn't disappointed. Wonderful juicy dim sum, stunning fish...but the highlight was the desserts, which I hadn't tried before. Well worth sticking around for. Not the cheapest place to eat of course...but worth it... Dinner with the team at Hakkasan Hanway Place last week to celebrate our team of the year. Service was really bad especially for a well-known restaurant as well as Michelin starred restaurant! We all came from a hospitality industry with 5 star service, unfortunately Hakkasan is very disappointing! No staff are smiling or interactive with us, some of us ask... More

My guest was running 15 minutes late but the staff insisted I sit at the table, even though I had just ordered a drink at the bar, in fact they were insistent to the point of aggression. Because the table was booked for 2 hours only, the staff persistently interrupted and tried to hurry us. This and the bill for... More

After being placed in a corridorlike bar for almost half an hour, feeling obliged to by a drink (which we did not) with no further information about the table we had booked, we just left. It felt more like a club than a starred restaurant - and we were hungry for a delicious meal..!
