Description: Hakkasan Hanway Place is the original Hakkasan restaurant. This...
Hakkasan Hanway Place is the original Hakkasan restaurant. This Michelin-starred Chinese restaurant designed by Christian Liaigre, has re-created the luxurious glamour of the past by combining Chinese history, tradition and architecture. Wooden lattice screens carved out of dark English oak invite discerning guests for a unique dining experience with contemporary cuisine from Chef Tong Chee Hwee. The menu has a strong Chinese ethnic identity with an ethos of Cantonese cooking that will be informed by a progressive approach, underpinned by authenticity rather than traditionalism. The bar has created an innovative range of Asian inspired cocktails that can be enjoyed Thursday to Saturday night at Ling Ling, the late lounge. The Taste of Hakkasan, designed for 2 to 7 people is available 7 days a week during lunch and Sunday-Wednesday for pre or post-theatre dining. Hakkasan Hanway Place have recently launched 'Dim Sum Sundays': a weekly lunch event hosted by resident lounge DJs, available every Sunday from 12:00 until 17:45.

Sunday brunch Hakassan style

Took my son for a fantastic Sunday brunch at Hakassan , Hanway place, London. I booked this 3 months in advance and was disappointed to be given a table next to the waiters serving area not what I expect from a restaurant of this standard. When I pointed this out they did move us, but it was really... read more

This was my first time at Hakkasan. It was a favourite of my companion because it had a lot of choice for vegetarians (relative to other places we had been to). From walking in to sitting down, the service seemed impeccable, and so was the food. We chose from the ala carte, as the Taste of Hakkasan had just finished... More

I have been to this restaurant many times, with friends, for business etc. The food is exceptionally good and perfectly presented. Portions are generous. Last time, when ordering a la carte we ended up ordering so much food ... but it is so delicious that nothing was left. There is so much choice in the a la carte menu. We... More

Huge error of judgement on my part as I made a reservation for dinner at this restaurant. Never got as far as the food as the attitude of the lady manager was appalling. 5 minutes late for fixed price menu, wanted to charge al a carte. Asked for a beer instead of cocktail, told "no, take it or leave it".... More

At first glance the rating and title look contradictory, until I tell you it was us who robbed them... We went for the Taste of Hakkasan set menu, £35 a head, thinking it will essentially be a taster menu, this was no taster menu. Looking at the menu you think you have to choose one item, you don't you get... More

We had our booking for 2 quite early on Saturday. 18:00 Very nice venue, little to dark, reminds a labyrinth. Our waiter was very ignorant, no suggestions for the food, or for the drinks what so ever. Also a tip: they do not advertise it so much but from 17.30 to 18.30 they have a special offer " Taste of Hakkasan"-... More

From entering the restaurant you could tell that it was going to be a good meal - the service was really fast and the staff were very attentive. My partner and I got a seat quickly and the drinks and food came almost straight away. I HIGHLY recommend getting one of the set menus, we had the most amazing food... More

If Michelin rating revolves around the ambience, service as well as the food then this site only has two in our opinion or to be fair to the site we may be too old (55). In a nutshell the food was as you would expect we had the tasting menu with the soft shell crab, wagu beef and lobster of... More

Dim Sum Sunday worked out really well for a (foodie) family get-together. A la carte available (at a price) but we had set Sunday lunch menu at £58 per head plus 13.5% service charge, consisting of 6 tiny courses (minimum 2 persons, works out at just the right amount to eat overall) and including choice of cocktail (alcoholic or non-alcoholic)...
