Had works non Christmas Christmas do here. We were squeezed in the tiniest space possible. Food was fine but to be honest was just like choosing menu option J at the local Chinese. Big plus was that drinks were included so that at £25 a head worked out good value. Will not rush back but very safe if you need... More

Good chinese food in fairly comfortable surroundings but more expensive than some of its neighbours

I was visiting one of my good friends who at the time was a senior chef at one of the top restaurants in London and on asking where we should eat on the Monday night this was his recommendation - All the guys from the kitchen use this place on the Monday night out - kind of says it all.... More

I had the worst meal I've ever had in Chinatown this afternoon. The restaurant was busy so I wasn't too surprised that it took them over 15mins to take our order, however, it then took over an hour to bring us our food. The dim sum we ordered came after our main meal was served (or rather everyone was served... More

We have eaten at Fung Shing several times but will not do so again. It used to be good but now, like so many Soho restaurants, it's very mediocre and service is poor. Given that it's more expensive than other Chinese's in the area, it really is one to avoid.

We visited Fung Shing yesterday for a meal that in conclusion exceeded our expectations of your average restaurant in London's Chinatown. Admittedly the restaurant seemed somewhat lacking in clientele of oriental appearance, however the menu with its mix of standard and unusual dishes proved too much of a draw. The initial noteworthy observations include the exceptional politeness of staff/management and... More

While I enjoyed my meal at Fung Shing my husband did not enjoy his. The menu was traditional Chinese and the service was good. The restaurant was pleasant and clean. There was a bit of a misunderstanding about the bill. It appeared that the gratuity was included in the bill but when my husband asked about it he was told... More

My wife and I ate here during a recent visit to london. There is nothing like a good Chinese and this was NOTHING like good Chinese! Restaurant from the outside is attractive and decor inside is good BUT it lacked any Chinese occupants dining which is a sure fired give away IF you notice before ordering. We didn't and thus... Where to start? We were looking for a quick meal after the movies. It turned into a nightmare - the kind of meal you can't believe you are having in the city where you live, as you think you should know better. Chewy, overcooked dumplings that were somehow still hard and covered with grease to boot, beef that was completely... More

Great chinese restaurant was perfect before going out in Leicester square. Food selection was great and had both meat and veggie for my other half. Service was good was sat in the back area which was very nice and spacious. Food arrived promptly and waiters always check we were ok and if we wanted anything else. All I can say... More
