Great set price deal at lunch. Low carb options always available such as the beef carpaccio and the chicken paillarde and the smoked tuna.... Tables a bit close together Take care of your coat

This is just a great place to eat in St. James - always full.... I wonder why. The food here is just wonderful... Carpaccio starter was superb and I have to be frank and say that I cannot seem to order anything else but the chilli Crab Taglione for main.... just a great dish with very fresh pasta. I chose... The décor of this restaurant is a bit jarringly bright and modern, without the typical comforting look that so many Italian restaurants have, but don’t let that put you off…the food is purely traditional Italian. My favorite pasta was the Red chili tagliolini with crab, rocket, chili, white wine and garlic. Wow, it was yummy. Service is good, with lots... More

We ate here on New Year's Eve having been several times in the past. Food was mixed - scallops to start were great, basket of bread was stale, fillet of beef was well-cooked but heavily over-salted, selection of Italian desserts were okay. Main problem though was the speed we were urged to eat at - within 25 mins we were... More

The location is great and the ambiance is fine, teh food is actually very good so what's the problem, well asking fro just a half bottle of house red wine and getting charged £28 doesn't sit well - A very ordinary red which at your local tesco would cost you £8 they mark up to this extortionate amount. pepper-mills that... The delightful, wafting aromas from the tables of others' indicates what is to come. Fabulous wrapped scallops, melt-in-the-mouth beef carpaccio, truffles of both variety....All with a sensitively-married accompaniment. The seconds are always a surprise. The sauces seem intoxicating; mouth-wateringly rich, but impart freshness. The aim being to leave one satisfied or prepare one for the finale, the pure clean mains, is... More

It had been several years since we dined at Al Duca, Our return visit did not disappoint. We were intrigued by a special with whit truffles, but thought it too big for one. Our waiter suggested splitting it and another entre. Good suggestion and just the right amount of food. This restaurant has a large business lunch clientele, so is... More

We invited friends for dinner and had specifically selected the 3 course meal for below 30£. Food was good although I would not recommend the swordfish, which was covered in a tomato sauce covering the fish taste. Upon checking the bill at home, I was unpleasantly surprised that the 3 course meal was not taken into account but each item... More

We opted for this restaurant because it was close to our hotel (Sofitel St James) and because we liked the menu. Although we had been emailed a confirmation of our reservation they couldn't find it upon our arrival. No matter, they immediately seated us in the middle of the restaurant. We opted for a shared started (muscles in white wine),... More

Staying in St. James's

Neighborhood Profile
St. James's
Perennially fashionable since the days of Henry VIII, the aristocratic “Clubland” of St James's is a premier destination for high end craft and bespoke design. Here you’ll lose count of the Royal Warrants (which indicate that the Royal Family patronizes the establishment) seen in shop front windows, even during a short stroll to bordering Green Park or St James’s Park. With the brightly lit and constantly buzzing junction of Piccadilly Circus at its northeast corner and none of Central London too far away, this is an surprisingly central and accessible part of town, especially given its prosperous demeanor.
