This is the second time we have dined at Al Duca and haven't been disappointed on either occasion. We rocked up at 8.30 pm without a reservation and although the restaurant was busy we had no trouble in finding a table for two. Service was friendly, prompt and efficient. No starters, but excellent bread and olive oil to munch whilst... More

Came here for lunch, brilliant location, bright but fairly small Italian restaurant. Overall I thought the food was lovely given the price and location, it was simple but tasty. If your looking for Michelin starred then look elsewhere but its a decent find for a simple lunch or supper.

I was quite surprised to read so many great reviews after our visit. I thought at best it would be considered fairly average. We happened upon this restaurant while looking for a lunchtime eatery. Whilst not too impressive from the outside, inside is warm and comfortable enough, although nothing special. We actually found the service to be very good, it... More

I have eaten here many times as I think it is one of the best Italian restaurants in London. Really excellent, fresh and imaginatively presented food in a buzzy setting. The beef carpacio with pine nuts is sublime!

Found this restaurant after an on line search of the hotel area. By London standards this is a very reasonable restaurant price wise, however, by food standards it is very much underrated, in my opinion. A decent selection of wines at affordable prices, that can't be bad. A menu which has a little for all taste buds, pasta is heaven,... More

We booked this restaurant to celebrate two events (our daughter running Marathon for the first time the next day and our 30th Wedding Anniversary) - it was the perfect choice. The food was exquisite with all of the party commenting on the delights of each course, both its taste and appropriate size of each portion ( we had four courses,... More

Lovely Italian Food at Al Duca, in St James, the service is also good, maybe the prices are a little high for what you get!

Went for Saturday lunch and we were pleasantly surprised. We each had delicious fresh pasta, great breads and a glass of good wine with excellent coffee for around £30 each all in. Lovely genuine service. Full of local people. A lovely, quiet location just off Piccadilly.

Staying in St. James's

Neighborhood Profile
St. James's
Perennially fashionable since the days of Henry VIII, the aristocratic “Clubland” of St James's is a premier destination for high end craft and bespoke design. Here you’ll lose count of the Royal Warrants (which indicate that the Royal Family patronizes the establishment) seen in shop front windows, even during a short stroll to bordering Green Park or St James’s Park. With the brightly lit and constantly buzzing junction of Piccadilly Circus at its northeast corner and none of Central London too far away, this is an surprisingly central and accessible part of town, especially given its prosperous demeanor.
