"Bar Italian" i ❤️ you!

If in London try out this authentic coffee shop, great to stop buy and have fresh coffee made for you with a slice of cake. Much better than your ordinary chain establishment. The food/drinks fantastic and a great chilled out authentic vibe.

Been going here for many years now, this little gem that's been in business since 1949 is perfect for that break that perfect coffee and to people watch! The coffee is sublime, the bar itself has a perfect mix of personality. Long may it reign.

Everything is fine. I expected more; I am sure that it was better years ago. Not much "mojo"; food is ok. Eould not recommend.

On a warm Saturday, sitting at a pavement table in Soho's Frith Street watching the world go by (in all its typical Soho forms) is a great way to spend an hour. Bar Italia's fine coffee and splendid selection of cakes and pastries makes this so much more the better. Prices are reasonable for this part of town, service is... More

Went on to Bar Italia with friends after dinner. Had a fantastic evening. The atmosphere was electric. Music was fantastic, had a bit of a boogie singing to all the songs. One or two night caps too many. You need to let your hair down sometimes. Fabulous.

The only pasta on the menu is lasagna, classic or vegetarian. So I'm thinking "this has got to be great since it's the only pasta entree at an Italian joint". WRONG. It came out and was pretty much like eating dry noodles with a little bit of meat between and a sprinkle of park on top. Very bland. Got strawberry... More

Soho has hundreds of tasty gems in and around its neighborhood. But, the one we couldn't find too for, and had to return to was Bar Italia. It's known for so many things. But, we just had to have our favorite coffees on the sidewalk and people watch. Don't miss this one!

This place is so full of character! I've been there a few times over the years and it never seems to change. The coffee is excellent and if you're eating I recommend the avocado panini and the profiterole.

For the past 3 months I've been taking night school classes to learn to speak Italiano. I'd been doing fairly well in my class. Saying things like 'this latte is molto grande, chao bella, magnifico la facea'. Feeling confident after my exams I thought I'd go to a place I've known to be the most authentico baro cafe in all... Staying in Soho

Neighborhood Profile
Soho
The go-to district for a good time in London, Soho hosts a wealth of world-class theatres and a compelling lineup of cafes, restaurants, pubs, bars, and clubs. At Soho's core is London's original Red Light District and the epicenter of the LGBT scene – and thus the city's hottest nightlife. For shopping enthusiasts, Soho is not only the home of London's greatest concentration of boutique shops, but also the most strategic place to set off on a tour of the world's most celebrated department stores. In the southern part of the neighborhood lies Chinatown, with its multitude of delicious and affordable restaurants. Closer to the Thames, Chinatown's narrow and teeming lantern-lit lanes spill onto the expansive hub of glitzy Leicester Square.
