Description: Azou is one of the most inviting restaurants on Chiswick's King Street. Marking it out most is the high-quality North African food offering fine flavours from Morocco, Tunisia and Algeria. The menu reflects the huge variety of dishes from North Africa - from delicious salads, kemia (mezze) & pastries to couscous and tajines (meat, fish & vegetarian). Choose from classic dishes, or Azou's own, which incorporate traditional and contemporary influences. The focus is on well-sourced and freshly cooked ingredients. Azou has a comfortable, relaxed atmosphere decorated with crafts and artefacts from the Maghreb.

I rather enjoyed my dinner at Azou. The welcome was warm and friendly and I was offered the choice of sitting at a traditional low table or an ordinary one. I chose to recline at the low table and enter into the spirit of things. I loved all those cushions and the Moroccan lamps. I started with baba ghanoush which... More

Seen the reviews on TripAdvisor and thought I'd give it a go despite its distance outside of central London. Well worth the jaunt, rustic affair, friendly service and terrific tastes. If you like your exotic food i would definitely give this place a go!

I went for dinner with friends on Saturday 22 February. There are lots of good reviews on the window so it looked promising. However, i have never been so badly treated in a restaurant. I asked the waiter (who spoke French) to advise me on a tagine with vegetables. He answered: "you haven't read the menu…read the menu!" The tone... More

This was a Birthday treat, and it was extremely enjoyable. It is an unique dining experience, the dining room is quite dark, some seats are low and cushioned (like sofa's) and the restaurant has the smell of incense. The ceiling billows with material and the mood is definitely exotic. The menu is not too big and the tagines obviously attract... More

From the minute we walked in we were looked after extremely well by Chris and his team. We had prebooked and a lovely low seating table in the corner was ready for us. Once settled in we took in the atmosphere. Lovely lampshades and the ceiling decorations made us feel like we were back in Africa. Chris was doing the... More

Went to Azou for a family dinner on Friday night and had a good experience. Thought that the starters and mains were good but have had better tagines in London. Would not recommend the lamb sausages but the rest was great. They also cater well for those with gluten allergies. Loved the fact that this restaurant hasn't been expanded and... More

My girlfriend and I ate here for her birthday and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The intimate ambiance of the place is wonderful and the food is fantastic. The meat drips right off the bone, and all the food is best described as tender and homely with excellent flavors. Knowing it was for her birthday we were even treated to a... More

From the moment we walked through the door, I knew I'd make the right choice. There are so many restaurants to choose from in london that it is difficult to know if you've picked a good one due to so many reviews out there. Well, I'm so glad a travelled for over an hour for this one. It is very... More

Me and my best friend came here for my Birthday which was in September, we've always wanted to come here after seeing this restaurant in Gordon Ramsay's best restaurant series but never got round to do it until now. We came in and were shown to our seats and was handed the menus. We ordered the drinks and some starters... More

This restaurant was fabulous. I went there with two work colleagues after work and we come from South London. My colleague found this restaurant just by chance on the internet and we were so glad that we tried it! We went on a Tuesday evening after work and was not packed. There was only one other couple there. However, it... More
