Description: Azou is one of the most inviting restaurants on Chiswick's King Street. Marking it out most is the high-quality North African food offering fine flavours from Morocco, Tunisia and Algeria. The menu reflects the huge variety of dishes from North Africa - from delicious salads, kemia (mezze) & pastries to couscous and tajines (meat, fish & vegetarian). Choose from classic dishes, or Azou's own, which incorporate traditional and contemporary influences. The focus is on well-sourced and freshly cooked ingredients. Azou has a comfortable, relaxed atmosphere decorated with crafts and artefacts from the Maghreb.

Great food, great spices, great services, will visit once every few months. The food is authentic, and a fusion of several North African dishes. A little corner of Merkesh hidden in Hammersmith.

Me and my wife dined here late October 2014 (Halloween night). We wanted to have something different but also cosy and quiet away from the bustle. We found it. The food is great (as you can tell from the awards glued on the entrance door). The restaurant is like a neighbourhood restaurant, very nice. It's not big and there are... More

Have been meaning to come here a long time and now finally went for Saturday dinner. The restaurant didn't let us down. Great atmosphere with the tentlike interior and mix of low and high tables. Food was very tasty and the portions was really large. Had chicken and lamb tanjines with really tender meat. Friendly and personal service. We will... More

A must try!! We was booked for a show at the apollo so we didn't know what time to book a table. The staff couldn't be more helpful. They booked us a table for 10 and said as long as we arrived before 11 it would be fine. This is a five star service with five star food. We could... More

Mirrors - dined on 03/09/2014 Devoid of all other customers but as I'd precooked I felt obliged to go in. No smell of cooking so obviously precooked and reheated food which was bland for a tagine. Waitress very pleasant and attentive but my husband noticed the owner/chef being nasty and intimidating towards her. Ordered Syrah rose wine which was horrible... More

Worth visiting for their tagines. We went there for my husband's birthday and he really liked his chicken tagine with almonds and raisins. The service was mediocre. Not very friendly to female customers.

an interesting place, outside of the main spots in London but with and Excelent CHEFE with a great food! Remarkable. Needs to improve the quality of the wine offer.

Azou became a well-known restaurant after becoming Gordon Ramsay's "Best Restaurant 2010" winner of North African Restaurants. Here is a small, family-run restaurant serving fabulous North African food in an informal ambience – with no pretentions. The service is friendly and the owner makes regular appearances to advise on dishes and ensure that patrons are happy. What makes this restaurant... More

We always like to try different cuisine and decided on North African, hence our trip to Azou. We arrived just before 7.00 p.m and at that stage were the only diners but by 8.30 the restaurant was buzzing and the atmosphere wonderful. Onto the food, and put simply it was delicious. Very well served and presented and left us full... More

This place is great. Fantastic food and great service. Reasonable (for London) too. It's a little 'out of the way' on King Street in Hammersmith, but worth the trip. The spicy lamb tagine is uber tasty. Enjoy!
