Description: Azou is one of the most inviting restaurants on Chiswick's King Street...
Azou is one of the most inviting restaurants on Chiswick's King Street. Marking it out most is the high-quality North African food offering fine flavours from Morocco, Tunisia and Algeria. The menu reflects the huge variety of dishes from North Africa - from delicious salads, kemia (mezze) & pastries to couscous and tajines (meat, fish & vegetarian). Choose from classic dishes, or Azou's own, which incorporate traditional and contemporary influences. The focus is on well-sourced and freshly cooked ingredients. Azou has a comfortable, relaxed atmosphere decorated with crafts and artefacts from the Maghreb.

Decent food, intimate setting

This is a highly-recommended restaurant with many awards and good reviews to it's name. They are largely deserved. The service is efficient and friendly, with humour and adice to get the best out of the menu (We were a large group). The decor is incredibly intimate with a ceiling draped in cloth... read more

I've had the highs and lows The lows being it took me 18 months the book a table No fault of the Azou Just when I tried to book It was already full I finally got a booking And let the highs begin It's as simple as ramsey said on telly The man is a genius I've never looked back... More

Tired of the British flavours, let's face it, all food tastes the same or the convenient Italian and endless Persian and Lebanese joints which menu's seem like a copy of one another, Azou is stands out high. The fully flavoured tangine dishes, the lamb shank that melts from the bone and the surprising pastries, I just cannot wait to go... More

We visited this little gem on a number of occasions and it never ceases to impress us. We have tried a number of dishes, my wife's favourite being this beautiful piece of exquisite lamb shank cooked in a tagine with copious amount of almonds, juicy prunes and tangy apricots. The bread is freshly prepared and the service is excellent.

if you have interest in North African food and appreciate finely balanced and delicious sauces then I can't recommend this favourite of ours enough. All aspects are cooked with skill but the foodies will focus in on the sauces - even the vegetarian tagines are made special by flavoursome sauces (my wife is a veggie and well served here). Committed... More

I really am conflicted about this; no-one - and I mean no-one - even on the worst reviews here have criticised the food, rather they have focused on individual service incidents, you know the type - not really a review more a moan about an event or circumstance.... We moved nearby recently, and having previously had the AMAZING Adams Cafe... More

We work hard to maintain our all-round standards, and appreciate when diners take time to comment on various media sites. We thank you for the positive comments in your review and have noted the others. At Azou Restaurant our dishes range the Maghreb, with their different styles and techniques, not just one country, as with some other establishments. Many tajines... More

I was looking for somewhere for my husband's 40th birthday meal for a large group and found this place on Open Table, not being from the area it looked good and we decided to take a chance. From the first moment I spoke to them to book I got a great feeling about the place and staff which was born... More

I was taken here as a surprize after my fella proposed on the London eye.he had already booked a table for us,which was layed out with rose petals and flowers for me.We were met with such excitement and led to our table. The waitress was brilliant and very friendly.after a short time the chef came out and introduced himself. The food was... I came here during trip to London and it was the best decision for restaurant we have made in a long time. The food was delicious (I was literally scraping my plate at the end)!!! We loved the decor; it made it a lovely atmosphere to eat in. However, the best thing about the place was the staff; I have... More

We had wanted to try this place for years, after seeing it on a TV programme with Gordon Ramsey. We eventually went for my wife's birthday. Fantastic food and fantastic service. We both had lamb tajine and all I can say is Delicious. Well worth the trip from Wimbledon to Hammersmith.
