Description: Azou is one of the most inviting restaurants on Chiswick's King Street. Marking it out most is the high-quality North African food offering fine flavours from Morocco, Tunisia and Algeria. The menu reflects the huge variety of dishes from North Africa - from delicious salads, kemia (mezze) & pastries to couscous and tajines (meat, fish & vegetarian). Choose from classic dishes, or Azou's own, which incorporate traditional and contemporary influences. The focus is on well-sourced and freshly cooked ingredients. Azou has a comfortable, relaxed atmosphere decorated with crafts and artefacts from the Maghreb.

I visited this restaurant at the weekend with my partner and his parents and it will definitely be the last time. I have actually been here twice before and the food is delicious so this review in no way reflects the food, chef or kitchen staff but instead is a reflection of the restaurant owner. From the moment we arrived it... More

After seeing this restaurant named the best north african restaurant in UK I was so eager to try it, and wasn't disappointed. The food was delicious and very friendly service. The constantine tajine is not to miss!

Great food, nice setting, comedy owner. Cant go wrong. We went for a birthday meal, they catered well for a Gluten free member of the party. If you call in advance they can make any dish gluten free!

Love this place and I have been meaning to come here for a long time. I was not disappointed, extremely welcoming chap who showed us to our table. He advised us on what to choose and made us feel very welcome. I had the lamb tangine and it was delicious, melt in the mouth and perfectly spiced. I will be... More

Parking: While our daughter went to a concert at the Apollo, we chose Azou since it was nearby. After walking there we realized we could have parked our car right in front, there was more than enough space. Atmosphere: Felt very exotic. I enjoyed the music. It added to the ambience of the place. Food: We ate 3 courses. Starters... More

A familiar place, highly popular (advance booking recommended) with the perspective of "stardom" (already on Michelin's radar). You will be offered traditional low or "normal" table by their welcoming staff in an atmosphere of its own. A good place to make yourself acquainted with Moroccan cooking (and its shortcomings: If you are a sweet-tooth, there is only a restricted choice).... More

We had a simple vegetable tagine and a sweet lamb tagine. The vegetables were simple but in flavourful sauce; the lamb tagine however was superb, spoon-tender meat and delicious sauce.

I rather enjoyed my dinner at Azou. The welcome was warm and friendly and I was offered the choice of sitting at a traditional low table or an ordinary one. I chose to recline at the low table and enter into the spirit of things. I loved all those cushions and the Moroccan lamps. I started with baba ghanoush which... More

Seen the reviews on TripAdvisor and thought I'd give it a go despite its distance outside of central London. Well worth the jaunt, rustic affair, friendly service and terrific tastes. If you like your exotic food i would definitely give this place a go!

I went for dinner with friends on Saturday 22 February. There are lots of good reviews on the window so it looked promising. However, i have never been so badly treated in a restaurant. I asked the waiter (who spoke French) to advise me on a tagine with vegetables. He answered: "you haven't read the menu…read the menu!" The tone... More
