A birthday dinner with family

This was a great find in the heart of Soho. Small and very friendly and I really did feel welcome. We were a group of seven and the staff did everything they could to make us feel comfortable including turning the heating down when we mentioned we were a little hot. The food was great to with a... read more

Where to start on this incredible restaurant experience!!! The pressure was on me to find the perfect restaurant at short notice during Christmas week for a venue to hold our team Christmas lunch for a large group of 20 guests on the 22nd December 2015. I was thrilled to find Aurora online and a colleague had previously dined and enjoyed... More

This is a beautiful, small restaurant in Soho. It is expensive even by London standards but worth it for such good quality food. My two gripes are that the service was slow, at all times we had to ask for a menu, to order, another drink, the bill. For a small restaurant this is too relaxed for me. The restaurant... More

I had a delicious lunch while having a meeting in the restaurant. The staff were helpful and it is a very attractive place to eat.

We passed this cosy-looking restaurant each day from flat to theater district, noting the menu and activity. After checking on TripAdvisor we made a reservation for a late dinner (last orders theoretically 10:15 but not observed the night we were there). Our appetizers were gravlax salmon and smoked duck breast, followed by guinea fowl and cod. Each dish was imaginative... More

Really like Aurora, so twinkly and pretty. An intimate setting in a central location. Service is warm and friendly. Menu isn't sprawling but is well devised. ....my only critique being it would be good to have a choice of vegetarian dishes, or some can free ones.

The restaurant is beautifully decorated. Food was good, but not exceptional: we loved the cheese with pineapple chutney at the end of our dinner.

Title of review sums it up really. The restaurant has a lovely intimate atmosphere - low lights, small, quiet and friendly service. The menu is very British and seasonal and limited which maintains the quality. This was a good recommendation by a friend.

We've been meaning to visit here for years! Glad we did! Menu is seasonal and limited - always a good sign... My pork chop was decent - generous size but a little overdone for my liking! But what really makes this place is the intimate and cosy atmosphere and the wonderful service from the front of house team, who are... More

Aurora was recommended to us; and we are happy that we took the time to go there! There are not many tables in this intimate restaurant, so make sure to book your table in advance. The menu consists of a limited selection of dishes, based on which ingredients are in season. Then menu changes every month. There is not a... More

Staying in Soho

Neighborhood Profile
Soho
The go-to district for a good time in London, Soho hosts a wealth of world-class theatres and a compelling lineup of cafes, restaurants, pubs, bars, and clubs. At Soho's core is London's original Red Light District and the epicenter of the LGBT scene – and thus the city's hottest nightlife. For shopping enthusiasts, Soho is not only the home of London's greatest concentration of boutique shops, but also the most strategic place to set off on a tour of the world's most celebrated department stores. In the southern part of the neighborhood lies Chinatown, with its multitude of delicious and affordable restaurants. Closer to the Thames, Chinatown's narrow and teeming lantern-lit lanes spill onto the expansive hub of glitzy Leicester Square.
