In Soho where you can never find a table, and are constantly being sat on a stool and told that you need to leave in 1.5 hours, Aurora is an oasis of calm and civilisation in a brutal and fast degenerating world of soho restaurant. No annoying decorative themes, no polyester napkins. Reliable food and friendly service too...

My wife and I had a lovely Sunday lunch in the small courtyard garden. The meals were delicious and bigger than you usually get in central London restaurants. The service was very friendly and unobtrusive. The main thing was the great location. When you sit in the courtyard garden in the sunshine it's very hard believe you are a few... More

Food empthasis is on simple fresh ingredients with a nice wine list to match. Menu is very reasonable and just 5 minutes walk and your away from the chaos of picadilly circus. It was pretty empty on a sunday lunchtime even though they do sunday lunch. Will go for dinner next time instead, staff were very polite.

After a day shopping and visiting the Wedding Dress exhibition at the V&A, we came across Aurora by accident rather than design - and what a great accident it was! Lovely food, great service, very friendly and we would certainly recommend it to anyone. Will visit again soon with husband this time who is bound to enjoy it.. Carol H

This small restaurant tucked away in Lexington St delivers superb food and has a little garden hidden away where food can be served on a sunny day. The Tuna and salmon were cooked to perfection. Will return again soon.

Went here for a work lunch. The garden at the back is really lovely, very cozy setting, you don't even thing you're in London. The food was also really good and fresh, I'd definitely recommend.

Never been to Aurora before but came highly recommended by a friend who goes there often.......wine overpriced and under chilled, starter good, main below average for price charged and cheese board laughable!! 9 Carrs water biscuits and 3 slithers of cheese is hardly a cheese board!! Service very poor...altogether not a great night...

After the matinee of Miss Siagon (not to be missed) our friends had booked Auroa on the basis of Trip Advisor reviews, we hadn't visited before. Small restaurant tucked down one off the streets off the main drag in Soho. On arrival the place looked a bit tired and in need of refurbishment, but we carried on regardless. Very short... More

We were in London, first visit in a decade, wandering toward Soho and happened across Aurora. We were welcomed warmly and seated in a cozy corner of this truly delightful restaurant. The food was light and most tasty, (my aubergine dish was especially delicious), and the staff exceptional. Would return again without question and just sorry that the opportunity likely... More

A short walk from Old Compton Street, we booked this restaurant to celebrate my wife's birthday after a matinee performance of Miss Saigon. We (6 of us) had all three courses, wine and port and the meal came to about £35 per head including tip. All the food was delicious and everything was fresh and presented unpretentiously. For the main... More
