Opened in 1946 in Mayfair, Franco's restaurant has been one of London's most popular Italian establishments ever since. It continues to offer local gourmets a tranquil oasis away from the buzz of the city. Set at the St Jamess end of Jermyn Street, Franco's is fantastically located for the galleries, private clubs and hotels of the area. And the pre-theatre and afternoon tea menus are a delight. The restaurants character evolves throughout the day from the early morning breakfasts to laid-back lunches and romantic candlelit dinners in the evening. The elegant 1940s-inspired dcor is bright and modern, with light wood, off-white walls and comfy upholstered dining chairs. Franco's sumptuous Mediterranean menu has been developed by Head Chef Paulo Parlanti and showcases fresh seasonal produce in traditional and modern Italian dishes. Popular dishes include the duck breast with Castelluccio lentils; ossobucco ravioli with veal jus; and the classic tiramisu. Service is flawless and the wine list is a winner too.

Francos on Jermyn Street has to be one of the best lunch venues in London. Varied choices of menu always plenty of options. Fantastic service from the most professional staff. They don't miss a thing but don't hover and disrupt your conversation either. They know when you are in need but also know when to provide the service . So... More

Dinner on Friday night, Francos was busy with only a couple of free tables. Very prompt and friendly service. Excellent food - we had scallops and antipasti followed by fish and then cheese. Everything was very fresh and well presented. Two ice cold vodka martinis and a bottle of Soave. Not cheap but excellent value at just over a hundred... More

The evening was a wonderful way to celebrate our daughter’s birthday. The chef, Stefano, clearly has a great team in his kitchen and the food, of course, was spectacular. I must admit, I tried everyone’s dishes whether they wanted me to or not! It was one of those meals that although you think you have eaten too much, you don’t... More

Our outside tables remain popular throughout the year, we're looking forward to the spring when we will be launching our Rosé wine list which will boast over 60 different wines! Hopefully you will be able to return and enjoy watching the world go by from one of our side table. With kind regards Jason More

Franco's is at the Ritz end of Jermyn Street. The dining floor is split into two main areas, with the large bar a feature of both. Italian food, cooked well. The fish (halibut) was a highlight, as were the scallops. Some decidedly un-Italian dishes feature too, such as leek and potato soup...a concession to the rather cooler climate in London.... More

We are delighted that you enjoyed your recent visit to Franco's. The dining floor on the lower ground floor is often used for private events but equally for either breakfast, lunch or dinner. Our menu is Italian where possible but acknowledged that there are some dishes that don't need changing! As such we offer a full English breakfast and afternoon... More

Seated us right away...without a reservation-place filled up rapidly...food is good...Great selection of wines...wait staff was attentive without being obtrusive...nice linen tables...not too fancy-average St James pricing...some were casually dressed; others in theater attire-rather bright with evening dinner ambience...would dine here again.

A family of five with relatively small children, ages 6,8,11, got really good service even if we came late in the evening. We all loved the food.

This traditional St James' restaurant has a pleasant atmosphere and good service. The restaurant is large and old fashioned. Expect fine dining Italian and pricey wines. Food is average, although with consistent quality. Prices tend to be high considering the unexceptional food and other good Italian restaurants in the area.

Franco's is located in the heart of one of the best men's clothes districts in the world (Jermyn Street) and near Fortnum and Masons. Staying in St. James's

Neighborhood Profile
St. James's
Perennially fashionable since the days of Henry VIII, the aristocratic “Clubland” of St James's is a premier destination for high end craft and bespoke design. Here you’ll lose count of the Royal Warrants (which indicate that the Royal Family patronizes the establishment) seen in shop front windows, even during a short stroll to bordering Green Park or St James’s Park. With the brightly lit and constantly buzzing junction of Piccadilly Circus at its northeast corner and none of Central London too far away, this is an surprisingly central and accessible part of town, especially given its prosperous demeanor.
