Great food, nice team

The place looks quite unassuming from outstanding and then inside feels quite basic and the decor is simple to say the least. But it's the food that's the reason to visit. It's incredibly busy here over lunch but you can't book so expect to wait for a little bit over lunch time. It's bigger than... read more

Very close to Covent garden station this place is said to be a secret in the centre of London. I like the roll of dishes. I definitely to sit in a chair than a stool, however the food was very good and the prices reasonable. Please note that it's a small place which can become crowded very quick and I... More

Went here for some 'cheap' sushi and was pleasantly surprised at how nice it was. Me and a friend filled up on loads of fresh sushi...the fish was good quality and the rice tasted like it was freshly made. The bill came to just £20 between us (after a 10% discount they were offering at the time) and we were... More

I genuinely cannot understand all of the great reviews about Kulu Kulu on Shelton Street. Even taking it as what it is meant to be - a quick, cheap, no-frills sushi bar - Kulu Kulu falls very far below the standard. I usually write much more detailed and lengthy reviews but, as I simply cannot be bothered to waste any... More

Three of us went as a pre theatre lunch. Tiny place just away from the hustle and bustle of Covent Garden. The sushi was wonderful, the tuna was sooo fresh and tasty. My daughter ate tons of the salmon which was lovely too. She loves Yo! but they are getting expensive and poor so we tried hear - she wants... More

Best sushi for your money. Fresh large portions, great choice and very reasonable. Highly recommended, alone or with company.

In my days of extreme sushi addiction I was going to Kulu Kulu two or three times a week, either this one or the Brewer Street branch. I love it. Great food, reasonably priced. Free green tea. Favourite dishes inclued the soft shell crab hand rolls, the potato salad (really), the miso aubergine and the spinach with peanut sauce.

I happened upon Kulu Kulu at lunchtime and dropped in unsure what to expect. It's a bit like a mini, less flashy, Yo Sushi, but with much better food. A look at the conveyor revealed nice, large and freshly made morsels moving around, with a couple of busy chefs in the middle. I ordered a 10 piece takeaway which arrived... More

This is my favourite sushi restaurant in London. There is so much choice on the conveyer belt. Some reviewers complain that the staff are not attentive; they are attentive! They just leave you alone to enjoy your meal, which I appreciate. If you want something, ask for it! The food is good for vegetarians too. All hail kulu kulu!

very good and fresh Japanese food on a conveyor belt. I go to this place for lunch or dinner at least once a week. The food is fresh, delicious and you can have a quick bite as the foos is mostly ready. You can also order some warm dishes. my favourites are aubergines and shrimps tempura. you can go alone,...
