Description: In the very heart of London, just steps from the madness of Leicester Square is Piazza, a very Italian restaurant in a very British location. A family run eatery for seventeen years, Piazza is renowned for a welcome which will transport visitors from the impersonal, crowded West End to a tiny Italian village. Traditional in every sense, from the green awning over the glass frontage to the simple white walls and dark wood furniture of the rustic interior, Piazza gives a sense of comfort even before the food arrives. On the menu, you'll find everything from authentic bruschetta, to great seafood, to deliciously fresh pizzas, and the most popular pasta dishes too. Surprisingly affordable, Piazza makes a wonderful pre-theatre stop-off, or, thanks to incredible lunch offers, a fantastic place to take a break between shopping and sightseeing.

I had lunch with some friends and we loved it. Tutti i camerieri italiani! You seem to be in Italy for a wild. The food was delicious, the staff brilliant! We had a really good time, the best: la torta de la nonna! Omg! The only "bad" thing Ican say is that I found the wines too expensive for the quality....... More

My husband and his associates come here every time they are in London from the U.S. That has been consistent for about 15 years. This is my 3rd trip with him and we loved the food, quantity, service and value couldn't be better! The electricity went off after we had ordered and we were still served a superior meal. Writing... I came here in December looking for a pre theatre meal. We ordered a vegetarian platter as starters and a vegetable lasagna for mains which was delicious. I always find it hard to find a wide selection for vegetarian food in Italian restaurants but this one had a vast variety! Highly recommended I will be coming again when I am... More

After spending over an hour trying to find a nice place in Leicester Square we found Piazza. It seemed like the only place with no queue which left is sceptical but once we stepped inside our fears where gone. The smell the minute you enter lets you know you are in for a treat. Once we where seated we looked... More

We booked a table here as a party of 8 with children. We sat down at 6pm, the food was fantastic and service was quick. They did smaller plates for the children. There was one slight issue as they missed off one of the starters but once it arrived it was lovely. The wine was good and the deserts were... More

We popped in here pre theatre after eating dinner elsewhere to get a hot choc and dessert. Hot chocs were nice and the desserts weren't unpleasant they just weren't anything special either, they all looked like they had been bought from a catering company and left chilling in the reataurant window for who knows how long. We were in a... More

We went to London for a couple of days and chose this from reviews on Trip Advisor. The restaurant is not big but does have plenty of tables. We went in to book a table when we arrived and it was very busy. We went back for the booking and it was empty. This was early Sunday evening and it... More

Literally opposite Leicester Square station, nice little Italian restaurant serving up almost anything you could wish for. We got a cracking deal with 50% off the bill courtesy of Gourmet Society. Drinks are a little pricey for what you get but it's London so you can't complain. Book a table as it's quite small and does get busy. Highly recommended

Wandering round the West End on New Year's Eve after a theatre trip and just about everywhere is packed some places with people queuing outside. We did though find a few places with tables so I guess the advice is not to queue but keep wandering until you find somewhere you like the look of. Piazza took our fancy and... More

We fancied Italian so, based on reviews, picked this place and turned up for lunch. The ambiance was cosy, busy and had an authentic family run restaurant feel to it. Service was perfect and the 'grumpy old man' enthused about the dishes and offered helpful advice. The food itself was just amazing, possibly the best cheesy garlic bread I've had... More
