In the very heart of London, just steps from the madness of Leicester Square is Piazza, a very Italian restaurant in a very British location. A family run eatery for seventeen years, Piazza is renowned for a welcome which will transport visitors from the impersonal, crowded West End to a tiny Italian village. Traditional in every sense, from the green awning over the glass frontage to the simple white walls and dark wood furniture of the rustic interior, Piazza gives a sense of comfort even before the food arrives. On the menu, you'll find everything from authentic bruschetta, to great seafood, to deliciously fresh pizzas, and the most popular pasta dishes too. Surprisingly affordable, Piazza makes a wonderful pre-theatre stop-off, or, thanks to incredible lunch offers, a fantastic place to take a break between shopping and sightseeing.

Italian surprise

En route to catch our train, tired, hungry, short on time, what do you choose in a place like Leicester Square? A small, rather insignificant, but cheerful looking place caught our eye and beckoned us in. A friendly girl takes us to the last vacant table. The place is buzzing and unpretentious, the... read more

My 14 year old daughter and myself visited this week, this restaurant ticked all the boxes, amazing food, the mushroom and garlic bread starter is to die for, the staff were friendly, attentive and professional. Have the feeling this is a family run business so much more welcoming than the big chains round the corner, so impressed we came back... More

We stumbled across the back of this small Italian restuarant when going to the theatre and walking round the back by the stage door. We sat outside on a very hot day, in the shade, hidden away, and supped drinks and ate a delicious caprese salad whilst the children ate very generous and delicious child pizzas. Excellent value, great location,... More

Visited this restaurant after a theatre show, it was very busy but they squeezed 2 of us in. A narrow and quite small restaurant and immediate impressions are that it is family run and authentic food, soo much better than the many chains of Italian restaurants nearby. Had an antipasti started and the ham and salami served on the wooden... More

We stopped for a quick pre-theatre supper. We wanted somewhere reasonably priced and within a short distance of the theatre.. We were seated promptly and despite being very busy we were served quickly. I ordered pasta with a seafood sauce and my son a pizza.. my pasta was tasteless, other than the salt! I tried some of my son's pizza... More

Not what you expect to find in the rip-off heart of the West End - a small, authentic, well-priced restaurant, serving good food with friendly and quick service...what is the world coming to? Please visit, we came with 8 friends and family and had an excellent early dinner which everyone enjoyed, the total bill only just over £100 including drinks... More

Tasty food and friendly staff. The exterior to the resturant doesn't do it justice. Extensive menu and was good to see the battered calamari was freshly battered

We walked past this restaurant and as it seemed quiet we went inside. I had my Gourmet Society card on me, and even though I knew you had to book, i mentioned this to the waitress. She approached the manager, who very kindly said that on this occassion she would allow me to use my card, and the discount, even... More

Service was good and the location is great for the nearby theaters. The food is nothing more than average but the prices are relatively good. The staff is rather scruffy looking and several folks were allowed to sit at the tables outside who were not patrons of the restaurant.

We were looking for an Italian restaurant to finish a day out in London and the food here was well above the average, The house red wine was very good. The prices are affordable. A little cramped but all iin all we were pleasantly surprised.
