Lunch Friday May 15, 2015

While visiting London my wife and I happened on this restaurant on Friday May 15 after we had visited the Royal Mews at Buckingham Palace. It is nothing fancy but the food was excellent and the prices fair. It was very busy with what appeared to be local customers and families. If you are looking... read more

We love Italian food and after having legit pasta in Italy, we can honestly say this is some of the best pasta outside of Florence. Our waitress, Mariana, was friendly, helpful, and efficient. After we our first visit, we decided we had to come back during our 10-day stay in London. This restaurant is a must if you're in the... More

Fantastic food, I turned up on spec at last service and didn't fancy my chances. After a 2 minute chat with the chef he put me together a fine dish of Rabbit tagliatelle. I've spent a fair amount of time in Northern Italy and the dish served was as good as anything in Italy. Great speedy service also and a... More

Visited for both breakfast and lunch as staying at St James Court down the street. Breakfast was fast, tasty and very filling - though pricy, it was quite a good value of food. Lunch was a disappointment, however. I would come back for breakfast, but would take a pass on lunch.

Located within a row of other restaurants and in a very affluent area of the City, we picked a winner here! What attracted us in through the front door was a combination of the Menu - a good variety of traditional Italian, combined with a simple and uncluttered Restaurant layout, all of which visitors can see from the street. Once... More

Went for breakfast. Good choice of food. All served very quickly. Tasty and great value. You are made to feel very welcome and I ended up there for well over an hour. I will certainly use this place again and look forward to so doing.

My wife and I regularly eat at Bongusto not only for the excellent food but because of the charming service. The restaurant provides a varied menu with dishes of the day to enhance what is on offer. Service is always fast and efficient and I can highly recommend this traditional Italian eatery.

It's on the corner of Petty France and Buckingham Gate just a short 5 minute stroll from where all the Palace visits commence. The service is great, the food was good quality and generous portions. I'm not sure that I would have wanted to sit 'alfresco' but I guess if you are a smoker that would be a great combination... More

Staying in Westminster

Neighborhood Profile
Westminster
If you only had an afternoon to experience London on a grand scale, Westminster would be a wise place to start. The ornate Houses of Parliament and Westminster Abbey sit adjacent at a corner of Parliament Square, and a short stroll along The Mall leads to Buckingham Palace. Trafalgar Square and Nelson's Column are just up the road as well. As captivating as the architecture is, the wonders of Mother Nature are highlights of the area too. St James's Park (arguably London's loveliest), the expansive Green Park, and pedestrian friendly tree lined paths along the river showcase the exquisite manicure provided by English gardeners. Just beyond the landmarks and the gorgeous outdoor spaces, quiet residential squares and age old local pubs offer a more subdued take on this global seat of power in the heart of London.
