Great rustic Italian restaurant

Went there with a couple of friends for a quiet evening, was greeted straight away by the friendly owner. Food was great and the portions were plentiful. I had the lasagne and one of my party had the calzone which he thoroughly enjoyed. The house red (as others have mentioned) is fantastic, and... read more

I wanted to eat out rather than in my hotel so jumped on the first bus that came along. I spotted the restaurant and jumped off the bus. Well I am glad I did. The outside decor is unassuming but inside is clean and bright. The staff are Italian. There is a specials board. I had antipasto misto which was... More

We lucked into this little Italian restaurant while recently visiting London and staying at the H10 Hotel on Waterloo Rd. If you're ever in the area, go visit Tony and be treated to a truly delicious home-cooked Italian dinner that will leave you very satisfied. We liked it so much we ate there twice and the food was terrific both... More

We had a great visit at La Dolce Vita! We tried all the specials. Stuffed sweet red peppers, chicken and mushrooms in a white wine sauce, calzone, and ravioli in a truffle sauce. All delicious however the peppers were the true winner, if they have the peppers as a special get them because they are to die for! We also... More

My hubby and I were staying at the H10 around the corner and needed a quick lunch - we dismissed this restaurant as too much for lunch and popped into the place next door for a toasted panini. - same staff, same kitchen! We asked for a glass of wine to go with and were directed back to the restaurant... More

We didn't order the food straight as one of my family members were running a bit late so we wanted to wait for them. The waiter then started making rude comments towards us such as "are you just going to fill your stomachs on the complementary bread" even though we hadn't asked once for him to refill the bread basket.... I highly recommend this place - a proper Italian restaurant. My mother and I popped into this restaurant for lunch at random as we were visiting Tibet Foundation down the road. After deciding the menu looked good, we walked in and were greeted by a friendly chef who seated us at a table of our choosing. After discussing our strict... More

I work nearby in Waterloo and passed this restaurant on the bus home. I decided to have dinner there last Saturday with my girlfriend and was amazingly pleased with my findings. There was a great atmosphere in the restaurant and they seemed to be very busy! I enjoyed a starter of asparagus and pancetta whilst my girlfriend tried the stuffed... More

We took my nephew here yesterday for a birthday lunch- what a mistake! He had wanted steak, but it was "off". Instead he ordered a Carbonara, which turned out to be disappointingly bland. My husband had fish which was fine, but the accompanying potatoes looked and tasted as if they'd been left over from the week before. As for my... More
