I've eaten here 3 times here now and have never been disappointed. This place is a little out of the way of any train station but it is definitely worth the walk! The food is delicious and they accept taste card so can be fantastic value for money! The owner is so friendly and always makes us feel very welcome

Con - artists and the worst food I have ever had. The amount we spent here we could of gone into town and eaten at Jamies italian with 5 times the amount of anitpasto we got. The waiter never told us the prices of our drinks and ended up charging us a fortune for them. It really hurts be knowing... More

The food was really good, definitely homemade authentic Italian, with good portion sizes. Staff were very friendly too. We had a taste card so the price was very reasonable, although not particularly cheap without one (I guess average for London). You can use your taste card here on a Friday night too which is unusual.

Pros - Traditional Italian food Cons - Price This is a traditional Italian restaurant located in between Waterloo and Elephant & Castle. The decor is fresh and modern. The restaurant runs alongside the cafe next door. The food is good 3/5 star traditional, freshly prepared Italian food. The menu consists of standard pizza, pasta and meat options. Was quite surprised... More

Me and my friends went here for a birthday booking and we used a taste card, that's how we had found the restaurant on the taste card website. It's a nice restaurant typical Italian feeling with the decor etc. the service is slow at that, we waited a while to order our drinks let alone our food; they would benefit... More

I had the Calzone and it's rare to find an Italian restaurant with a real authentic homemade Italian taste. Excellent portion size and genuinely friendly service. Prices are nothing unusual for London. Definitely returning with friends when I can.

I have a gourmet meal card and decided to come here with a friend after reading good reviews, we're both students so have a tight budget (hence the gourmet card which gives 50 % off!) The pizza was really good and the waiter was lovely, but the bill was a lot higher than we were expecting. I think I read... More

I visited La Dolce Vita a couple of times in the last two weeks. Once a Friday night, once on a Tuesday night, It's a little bit hidden away, in a quiet area and both times we were only one of two or three tables occupied. The food is hearty Italian fare; full of flavour and decent portions. It's not... More

I have to admit we would have walked straight past this lovely eatery had it not been for a recommendation from our hosts. An unspectacular exterior pays no tribute to what awaits within. The owner and the chef are highly experienced operators and great sports to boot. They could not have been friendlier and all the food was absolutely delicious.... More
