Poor service, food mediocre

I visited on the 30th December, early evening as i had seen the pre-theatre menu for £14. I was given the main menu when seated but not the £14 one. I was left for at least 10 minutes without being offered any drinks, so in the end I got up and found a waitress to ask for drinks and the... read more

I have tried good thai restaurants in london and i have been to thailand soni know what i can expect. In this restaurant the food is nowhere near my experience in other places in london. The tom yum was the least tasty ever and the looks of it was depressing: a few mushrooms floating and one prawn. Main course was... More

Great location on The Strand (near the Courts of Justice). Went with a work colleague on a wet early December evening and were able to be seated straight away without a reservation. A good value set meal (plenty of choices) with a bottle of white wine.

Visited on a Friday evening just before going to see the musical Beautiful at the near by Aldwych Theatre.I got there early so ordered a bottle of wine for £15 and some prawn crackers for £2 while I waited for my friend to arrive.I don't normally like prawn crackers and usually eat maybe one or two but these were very... I've been to Thai Square on The Minories several times and had great food and great service so decided to give this one on The Strand a try as we were nearby - it wasn't have as good a dining experience as I was expecting. The food was delicious and up to the Thai Square standards I was expecting, I... More

Greta Thai food and had the salt and pepper chilli squid and the duck curry. Both were amazing and is a favourite stop of mine when in London

Couldn't fault the food. One of the best Thai meals I have had and it's something I eat a lot of! Had no idea this is a chain of restaurants. Cannot comment on the rest but this particular restaurant had a great ambiance, good service etc. Nice and close to Temple tube stop.

Food was cold and tasteless. Sirloin sizzling beef was served on a cold non-sizzling plate... Looked grey and was floating in oily water....chicken satay cold and bland, very disappointing horrible food. But the wine was good!

Although tripadvisor listed this place as ££££ which is supposed to be super pricy we decided to check it out. Luckily we did I'd class it as ££. The food was fab. Not a huge amount of veggie options but certainly enough for me to find something I liked. The plum sauce with the spring rolls was really lovely. The... More

The dinner was good. The gentleman had Chicken Pad Thai that was amazing, while the femme fatale had a really spicy vegetable green curry that she felt was too hot but good nonetheless. We shared veggie spring rolls and the lady also indulged in coconut rice. They were amazeballs. All in all, we would recommend.

Staying in Trafalgar Square / Embankment

Neighborhood Profile
Trafalgar Square / Embankment
With its iconic Nelson’s Column, majestic oversized lions and brightly-lit fountains, Trafalgar Square is not just considered the heart of this bustling London hub, but the very core of the city itself. Beyond this esteemed gathering place are more famous icons, as well as a disproportionate numbers of the city’s most popular cultural attractions including the National Gallery and many West End theaters. Along the way to these major sites are quiet lanes and antiquated pubs to discover, as well as riverside vistas to enjoy on the embankment. With a calendar full of celebratory events, any time of year is a fine time to visit.
