Lots of food in those set menus

We visited the Oversea for one reason, to fill up on a lot of delicious food before going to see Charlie & The Chocolate Factory. I think we achieved our goal. The three of us went for the set menu P2 and we were not able to finish the food. A lot of the food was pretty standard (like the... read more

Dim sum and main dishes were nice and flavourful. The food came out quick. The atmosphere is a rush but in most small Chinese restaurants you get that. Bathrooms are nice with the beautiful sinks. Good take away service. Had an issues with a dish sorted and took it off bill..brilliant.

Dropped in with my son on a visit to town. We had never tried this place before and ordered half a crispy duck between us for a starter. We were presented with a huge amount of very tasty duck and numerous pancakes with copious amounts of cucumber, onion, and sauce. So good that we ate far too much and could... More

First time here 19 Jan 2015. Very good - Good friendly welcome by manager and staff, clean well appointed table. Easy to view menu, fast, good service, attentive staff, well presented and very tasty food. I know my Chinese's so this was very nice, would recommend. Good value for money. We will go back!

In July we wanted to eat in china town, and happened to choose this restaurant. We ordered a chow mein and a special fried rice, both tasty and arrived very quickly. We also tried some Chinese tea, which was lovely! We were so happy that we returned in September. Great place, quick and attentive service and most importantly delicious food!

Nine of my colleagues and I were squashed around an average circular table and the atmosphere was loud and excited. We ordered various dim sum starters, soups, sauces, duck pancakes and a huge variety of mains. The menu was extremely varied and very reasonably priced and whilst the waiters weren't the most attentive, we couldn't expect any more with the... More

With so many restaurants to choose from it can get a bit daunting. We went for a reasonably priced menu and knew we wanted crispy duck pancakes. Oversea was a great choice, we went for one of the set menus and really enjoyed the food. Soup followed by crispy duck pancakes, then rice, a crispy pork and peppers dish, tasty... More

I came here on a recommendation from a Chinese expat. She suggested that here I could get good, fresh Dim Sum for a decent price with unpretentious surrounding or service. She was correct. The staff are polite but not fussy and the dishes come very quickly. They are all flavoursome and despite their classic glutinous texture do not feel stodgy... More

Selecting a restaurant in Chinatown is daunting. We looked for one with a reasonable clear menu, one that catered to Chinese customers, and had reasonable prices. Oversea was an outstanding choice. The Monk and traditional Chinese vegetables were excellent choices, and with rice and tea the cost was under 20 BP for two adults. Service was okay, not bad, simply... More

Staying in Soho

Neighborhood Profile
Soho
The go-to district for a good time in London, Soho hosts a wealth of world-class theatres and a compelling lineup of cafes, restaurants, pubs, bars, and clubs. At Soho's core is London's original Red Light District and the epicenter of the LGBT scene – and thus the city's hottest nightlife. For shopping enthusiasts, Soho is not only the home of London's greatest concentration of boutique shops, but also the most strategic place to set off on a tour of the world's most celebrated department stores. In the southern part of the neighborhood lies Chinatown, with its multitude of delicious and affordable restaurants. Closer to the Thames, Chinatown's narrow and teeming lantern-lit lanes spill onto the expansive hub of glitzy Leicester Square.
