Good food, bad services...

Every time I go to London, I go at least once because I admit that their dishes are very good. Especially their duck! Food is very good and we are never disappointed with the food. BUT, the service is horrible !!! I ordered a vegetable dish that went to the next table. I asked a waitress when our... read more

We came here after watching the football before getting the train home. The soup was very nice and the starter platter was perfect the mains were also good. The only problem was that there were no knives as there were chopsticks, but I can't use them very well. All round a pleasant experience.

Visited Chinatown the other evening to find the establishment I visited with my Mother 20 over years ago. To my great pleasure it was still trading and we were not disappointed. Very friendly and helpful staff and the food was really very tasty. Just one word of positive caution, the portions are huge and we ordered much too much. Excellent.

Brilliant we had a set meal with mixture of starter, then the best every crispy duck with pancakes, then a selection of main meals. Located in China town with a great atmosphere. We even went back the next night it was that good.

We entered with high expectations and were directed to the third floor. Of our four starters and two mains we could only describe two as being flavoursome and enjoyable. I'm not sure whether this was due to poor choice on our part but we have had similar dishes at other Chinese restaurants nearby and found them to be far superior.... More

Visited for a family get together. Service is attentive, better than the usual rushed service you get from other Chinese restaurants in china town. Food is of good quality too.

Another good visit in a reliable China Town restaurant. The rice with 2 or 3 meats is exceptional value for money and reliable. Service was quick but good. Sat downstairs this time and the toilets downstairs are a lot cleaner than the grotty ones upstairs.

liking the authentic look, we decided on the overseas. We were marched up to the third floor, ordered our drinks....turned out to be cans of warm coke just put in front of us with glasses. Ordered the food, and then watched as the staff went into the tiny room (can't be described as a kitchen) to dump food onto plates,... More

Absolutely food, ate here on Friday 13th. Super value and the service was great. Avoid the house wine but we bought tbe Sancerre -it was just lovely, and worth the extra. Their Char Sui pork was melt in the mouth and very tasty, starter dumplings wonderful and the Cantonese bbq duck delicious. They also do fabulous vegetable accompaniments. Looking forward... More

Seven of us visited as we met friends and family in London. We headed to Chinatown and Oversea was the first restaurant to appeal to us. We sat upstairs - which lacked character - but was clean and tidy. The staff were very good and looked after the needs of our larger group. We ordered a whole crispy duck which... More

Staying in Soho

Neighborhood Profile
Soho
The go-to district for a good time in London, Soho hosts a wealth of world-class theatres and a compelling lineup of cafes, restaurants, pubs, bars, and clubs. At Soho's core is London's original Red Light District and the epicenter of the LGBT scene – and thus the city's hottest nightlife. For shopping enthusiasts, Soho is not only the home of London's greatest concentration of boutique shops, but also the most strategic place to set off on a tour of the world's most celebrated department stores. In the southern part of the neighborhood lies Chinatown, with its multitude of delicious and affordable restaurants. Closer to the Thames, Chinatown's narrow and teeming lantern-lit lanes spill onto the expansive hub of glitzy Leicester Square.
