One thing that attracted us to the restaurant was the fact that they offered 20% discount for students. The condition of the discount was excluding bank holiday and Chinese new year. After we had our meal we requested for the bill and told the manager that we had an NUS card. The manager then said the condition says excluding bank... More

I was introduced to this place by my friends, and I am very happy to have gone there. The crispy duck they had was absolutely delicious, and all the other food we had was so good as well. Recommended for all those who like Chinese food!

Reason I say early bird is because they start serving at 11am on a Sunday when almost everyone else serves at 12pm. I was a bit hesitant to try Chinese in London because I heard it generally wasn't as good and very expensive. But the chance to try and compare dim sum was too enticing. This place was appealing cause... More

this becomes my regular restaurant in China town, London. We alway ordered beef with black bean sauce fried ho fan, steamed prawn dumplings. the food is in good quality and standard. Sometimes we buy the whole roast duck for dinner. the duck is freshly roasted and is still warm. elderly with freedom pass will get 10 % off on weekdays.

We had lunch here, and the place was packed with Asians, which I took as a good sign. As it turned out I was right this time, the food was excellent. We had one of the set menus for 2, and all of the dishes were very good. The interior is not very nice, so maybe not a good spot... More

Called in with the wife early evening for a much needed sit-down after sight-seeing all day. Was served promptly and respectfully with as good value a two person set-menu as I've eaten in a long time. About four courses including some great hor doeuvre's and fine 'crispy aromatic duck', and possibly some of the nicest butterflied prawns I've ever had.... More

We ate here this evening & really enjoyed it! The duck was amazing and carved up at the table. Waiters, of whom there were plenty, were friendly & good fun- even got a lesson on how to use chopsticks properly-I was struggling! A lovely bottle of Beaujolais to finish of the evening. Good food, good wine, good service & very... More

I thought that Oversea was pretty good, and if somebody opened exactly the same restaurant 10 miles from our house I'd be there on a regular basis. They have more or less the same menu as most other restaurants in Chinatown; I think there's supposed to be more of an emphasis on seafood. I didn't notice any big difference, but... More

Staying in Soho

Neighborhood Profile
Soho
The go-to district for a good time in London, Soho hosts a wealth of world-class theatres and a compelling lineup of cafes, restaurants, pubs, bars, and clubs. At Soho's core is London's original Red Light District and the epicenter of the LGBT scene – and thus the city's hottest nightlife. For shopping enthusiasts, Soho is not only the home of London's greatest concentration of boutique shops, but also the most strategic place to set off on a tour of the world's most celebrated department stores. In the southern part of the neighborhood lies Chinatown, with its multitude of delicious and affordable restaurants. Closer to the Thames, Chinatown's narrow and teeming lantern-lit lanes spill onto the expansive hub of glitzy Leicester Square.
