Expensive but good chicken

This place only does chicken so it's easy to order. Half or full. The chicken is very good. Worth the money but I can't afford to eat this everyday. They do takeaway. The best part is the atmosphere. I came here for a reunion with friends and we got the whole basement to ourselves. We order a lot... read more

Went for a Sunday lunch here as the Snooty Fox was fully booked. The chicken had nice parts but was half a portion of inedible grizzle, so actually didn't have enough food for a main course. The salad, veg and following desert was very nice but we left hungry. I am only an 11 stone man so I'm sure people... More

The food here has always been simple but incredibly tasty and enjoyable. However out last visit resulted in finding a slug in one of our main courses, in the shard. We were really discreet and tried to get the waitresses attention, as its a small restaurant and we didn't want to make a scene. The restaurant offered a replacement meal,... More

Absolutely delicious - especially the roast potatoes. Can't wait to return for a different version (menu changes weekly). Staff very friendly, wine was taken off the bill without asking because we had to ask for it to be bought out - completely unnecessary and unprompted but very kind of them. A great addition to the area and highly recommended.

Sides were ok: beetroot with feta and hazelnuts, roast potatoes (which by the way are nowhere near as amazing as some people on this thread have claimed: doesn't anyone make roast potatoes at home anymore?) Harissa yogurt, salad. All ok but I can make them at home (and so can you, they're not that hard!). Best part: pineapple sorbet and... More

This place seems to get better each time I visit - I have been several times now ( 6 or 7). When we visit our son in London we always try to fit it in our plans. We went last Saturday afternoon and as always the service was terrific and the food was unbelievably good plus the cocktails were something... More

This busy small restaurant offers one main course - chicken - 3 starters and 3 afters - but the truth is that they are all very good indeed. It is not fine dining but good honest wholesome well cooked tasty food. The wine list is also limited to 5 reds and 5 whites but they are good value, and they... More

This is a really special place. The care, love and attention to the food is so easy to see. the menu is kept extremely small but explores food and tastes I promise you would not have heard before. The service is friendly and welcoming and special mention to Vincent and Melissa. We have been a few times now and we... More

Perfect family sunday lunch / birthday party... It's a small restaurant but we managed to have a wonderful lunch for 15 people aged 5 to 75 and everyone was happy with the food, the service, the location. The menu included a mixed platter of starters (ham hock, pickalilly, jerusalem artichokes that were absolutely amazing) then lots of gorgeous, crispy, juicy... More
