We stayed I the hotel next door and went there just for a cup of tea. We really liked it there and the service was friendly. I found the prices a bit heigh for a pub this far from London centre, but nothing that would scare me. We did not eat there but would love to go back based on... More

Formerly known as The Collier's Tup, it is now known as the Charles Holden. I like this pub. The service is decent, the food is pretty good and the décor is nice, warm and comfy. It's also got a nice garden out back. I had several pints of Guinness with friends and enjoyed a decent lunch. 2 of us had... More

Stopped in the hotel next door for the weekend and spent some time in this pub. Good selection of real ales, chatty staff and good food. Had some good "craic" with the Aussie barman about the cricket, a very enjoyable visit.

Really nice food and friendly staff! Was staying at the hotel next door so popped in for drinks a few times and also had a couple of meals. Fish & chips were very good!

We had a very decent meal here on a Monday evening. The beer garden was full and the atmosphere outside on a sunny evening was great. Food better than I was expecting - fish and chips was a huge portion and seafood linguine had lots of whole king prawns. Service a bit slow (they were busy) but friendly and competent.... More

We were totally confused by the internet reviews for the Colliers Tup as we couldn't find it - so as a last resort we went into the nearest pub. We found an excellent selection of real ale. Didn't try the food as the Indian over the road was inviting. Well worth a visit. TIP: It you HAVE to change the... More

This is a nice looking pub with an excellent beer garden at the back. The selection of real ales was excellent. However, the food was very poor and not cheap with it. £13.50 for the worst roast beef I have had in London and beyond. The portion was a very small, the beef was leathery and the vegetables overcooked. My... More
