I had brunch at Blue plate today and it was brilliant; fun, innovative menu with lots of hard choices. But I had tp go for the buttermilk pancakes (the best I've had) and corn bread. I left full, content and ready to go back for more!

Despite arriving on a Saturday without a reservation I was seated quickly during what was a very busy service! Quietly tucked in a corner I sat at the bar instead of in the cafe area, slightly lethal as then you are next to all the cakes, brownies and American wares in the shop! My coffee was served first and I... More

Came here with my wife for cake and coffee. Service was very friendly. I had the whisky-brown sugar brownie and my wife had the cheese cake. I thought the price was quite reasonable for Chiswick. The cake portions are huge and we were both very pleased with the quality. The décor is quite interesting and I liked how the cakes... More

Visited today on a friends recommendation. I bought a slice of buttermilk coffee cake with cinnamon sugar topping and what was described as a milk glaze. Since I had recently eaten lunch I bought the cake as a takeaway to have at tea time (and it was a treat at £3.50 a slice!). I have ever had such a dry... More

The place has really nice food. If you miss american food, this could be right place to get some. The place is quite small even though is nicely decorated. The main downside is some of the staff are annoying and seems not interested in serving the clients. I agree with the previous review, that is not an 'american' service. Otherwise,... More

Went here today for a late lunch. Two of us had broccoli salad and shared a goat cheese tart - all fresh and good flavours . Homemade lemonade was delicious. Vast choice of brownies for dessert but was not ultimately tempted as many of them looked in my estimation "tired". My main issue however was with the service or lack of... More

I was very excited to try their cakes after the good reviews, so excited that when I went to their shop in chiswick I bought 3! They looked good in the beginning, although I was expecting more layer cakes, they only had two layer cakes and one of them looked a bit dry and not baked properly, the rest were... More

I went here yesterday for lunch. The first thing to note is this place is small, only about 24 covers but all the better for it. I opt for the bbq pulled pork bun, it was the best I've tasted. The pork was succulent and the sauce just right and not to sticky or sweet for me. My guest picked... More

As an American, the last place I'd be likely to go when living abroad is an American restaurant, so I was lucky that a British friend dragged me along without foreknowledge. I thoroughly enjoyed the food and the service, and the pastries are huge and delicious. In a small world story, I had looked at a recipe the night before... More

We have searched for a true top notch, cappuccino in West london. And this is it. It is the most important thing to say. But on top, the decor and other offerings are excitingly original and very well pulled off. Also tried some extremely decadent pastries, distinctive in an American kind of way but with real aplomb. Can't wait to... More
