Located in a landmark position on Piccadilly in the heart of London's West End, the magnificent Ritz Restaurant leaves an indelible impression on all who dine there, making it one of the world's most desirable places to dine. Reflecting a new pride in classic French cuisine made with British produce, the kitchen uses only ingredients that are the finest and freshest available. Superb!

Dinner at The Ritz is something to be savoured ! The food was outstanding, the service, exceptional. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and would recommend the experience to anyone. Pre- dinner drinks in The Rivoli Bar added to what was quite simply a very memorable experience.

Food-wise, this iconic restaurant generally delivered - my fillet of lamb in a herb crust was exquisite - the best I've eaten anywhere. The starter of raviolo with an oxtail filling was good, without being exceptional and the same goes for the dessert. But the surroundings and service were....well....O.T.T. I prefer the ambience to be subtle and the service unobtrusive.... More

Went to Ritz for lunch for a 70th birthday of a relation.. Had been for afternoon tea before and this lunch wasn't much more expensive. Wonderful food. Wine pricey but we managed to find a bottle that didn't break the bank ..... Well almost! Great moment when the waiters took the cloches off the food in unison. The waiting service... More

Booked Sunday lunch for two. We were totally blown away by the service and the food. The restaurant dining room was absolutely magnificent and so much better that the Afternoon Tea area. Staff were very friendly and professional, this really added to the special experience. I was a tad sad when the meal was over, I did not want to... More

Name me another restaurant as opulent (and tastefully so) as the Ritz. There are few places that still harbour to days gone by but with a subtle modern application. It's an experience where you know everything will be top notch, and rightly so, as this really is an amazing institution which surpasses it's reputation. I mean no one going to... More

My mother and I visited the Ritz Restaurant for her birthday dinner. The dining room was spectacular, with an eye for detail. The food was absolutely phenomenal, especially the veal. The service received was fantastic, which made for a memorable evening, which we hope to repeat. Many thanks, the Ritz fulfils its reputation!

We visited the restaurant at the Ritz on a pre-theatre booking which means arriving between 5.30 and 6.00 and that you eat from a set menu. There was a choice of three starters, three mains and two desserts and this package is much better value than the a la carte menu which applies later in the evening. There is much... More

My family had breakfast here, it was an incredible experience. My daughter's breakfast (see photo of salmon and scrambled eggs) was the best she had tasted. The range of options were vast, from buffet selection to cooked meals, everything one could imagine for breakfast was available to choose. The staff and service couldn't be better anywhere. They even offered to carry... More

What a difference to our experience at the reading room of Claridges. There the veggie food was awful - undercooked risotto - here there was a whole veggie menu and everything that was served was cooked and presented to perfection. We had a time out deal and the waiters made no distinction between us and others. We had amuse bouche... More

Had lunch on Saturday at The Ritz. Everything was amazing! The service as soon as we walked in to the moment we left was impeccable. The food was faultless. Delicious and wonderful presentation. Had the best banana soufflé ever. The wine list is expensive, not much selection in the lower price range. Would absolutely recommend The Ritz for a special... More

Staying in Mayfair

Neighborhood Profile
Mayfair
Set beside some of London's best parks and home to world-class galleries, luxurious hotels, and famed thoroughfares, the ultra upscale Mayfair is one of London's most exclusive haunts. Here the shopping is haute, the dining is exquisite, and the nightlife is vibrant. A casual stroll through the area’s chic streets will reveal that Michelin stars and chauffeured cars are practically the norm here. Even if you're on a tight budget, this exceptionally well connected swath of Central London is worth exploring, if only for the chance to take a peak at the goings on of upper crust English society.
