As a football fan stopping off for a meal on the way to watch Fulham FC, I visited this delightful fish'n'chip restaurant and take-away. What a great reception I got. Nothing was too much trouble and the very welcoming staff could not have been more caring. As I had ordered skate I was delighted to find firstly, that they had... More

Lived in the the area for years, but had moved away....was recently in the area visiting friends and was excited to see the shop open and doing business again. I had frequented the restaurant when the twins owned it, and for a short time after they sold it....all I can say is "those were the good old days". The restaurant... More

How hard can it be to cook cod and chips if that's all you do? Why has England's traditional meal become so difficult to get right? The only place worth going to now is the Golden Hind in Marylebone but this place is only worth going to if you want some quick calories and you are not too fussy.

I'd heard mixed reviews of this place since it re-opened but there was nowhere else open other than a grotty-looking kebab shop in the area so gave it a try. The fishcakes were freshly-cooked, nicely tasty and hot. The chips had been hanging around for a while, soft and ranged from lukewarm to cold. All in all it was disappointing... More

This place is small and cosy but luckily they had a spare table as we happened to be walking past. There's rock on the menu, which is rare to see away from very good seaside chippies. Unfortunately they didn't have any in when we visited, but was advised by the friendly waitress that the cod was very good today -... More

A friend mentioned that this little gem was right round the corner from her house, and that some magazine had rated it the best fish and chip shop in London. Now I havent tried many of the fish and chip shops in London (because they are not a patch on those in Yorkshire), but im guessing it must be up... More

Short walk from Putney Bridge station. Huge portion of fish and chips. We ordered the cod fish and chips, it was super delicious and value for money. Try go before 630pm, for early bird special which consist of cod fish and chips, and a drink. (£7. 95). Service was excellent, the place was packed but the servers were so cool... More
