A gem of London- Quirky and mysterious.

My friend had raved about this underground cocktail bar for a while but everytime we had been in London it had been booked up, but we managed to squeeze in one night when in the area for work. This certainly is a hidden gem of London and I would hihgly recommend a visit. The atmosphere is great... read more

Really cool speak-easy bar with a great selection of very high quality cocktails. The decor is very authentic giving it a lovely atmosphere and the live music is fantastic. The food however is overpriced and adds a lot to the bill so I would recommend just drinking here. Great service too.

This great Speak-easy played music unheard of by most of the young people present. The Pin Stripe suits performed great jazz numbers, and my young guests were a tad embarrassed by the oldies joining in with the vocalist. Having the good fortune to be in the alcove with decent seats made the evening, as most low seats looked uncomfortable. The... More

This place has a great vibe. It looks like a Speakeasy should: dark and moody. The fact that they are strictly reservations only does kill some of the cool but it also makes life so much easier if you want to come here on a date! My friend and I came relatively early so initially we had plenty of space... More

Undoubtedly one of my most memorable experiences, I personally think Nightjar dethrones number one. They truly are the pinnacle of cocktail bar perfection, with a soulful ambiance and some spectacular libations. From the moment you enter the dim scene of Nightjar, you begin to feel like you've stepped back in time. Sultry jazz permeates the lounge, as you grab a... More

Came here for drinks with friends. It's a quirky venue with some interesting cocktails. Absolutely fantastic and imaginative presentation for the drinks. Entertainment was brilliant. Would highly recommend a visit.

An interesting experience but wouldn't venture back. It was a ball-ache to book a table - which ended up being small and rammed in-between a couple of large groups.

Having not booked and waiting outside for about 15 minutes, I didn't have high hopes but that all changed when I walked through the door and just saw these two bartenders making these phenomenal drinks at immense speed with absolutely perfect precision in their movements. the two worked as one yet at times more than two. It honestly blew my... More

Staying in Shoreditch

Neighborhood Profile
Shoreditch
The western front of the edgy East End, Shoreditch is a perennially trendy haven for anything “street” – be it art, food, or fashion. With its handful of well connected transportation links dotting its perimeter, along with an ever increasing variety of shops, hotels, bars, and restaurants, it's easy to explore this trend-conscious and youth-oriented neighborhood. There's a lingering post-industrial grit about Shoreditch, but because it shares a border with “The City” financial district, the influence from its upscale neighbor can result in fascinating outcomes.
