Good food, not what I'd expected

A friend and I were in London and ate in Jamies Italian one evening. I has Osso Bucco, which was delicious, but would have been better if bread had been offered with it rather than fried cauliflower. This was good, but not enough to mop up the osso bucco. My friend had steak and frites which she... read more

Enjoyed a lovely meal here just before Christmas 2014. The food and wine we consumed were excellent and very well presented. Everyone loves a bit of pretentious when it comes to food, right? Staff were informative, attentive and knowledgeable about the products they sold. Ambience was good, but the later it got the louder it slowly became. Excellent location and... More

If you want to eat good food without having to book a place or wait hours to be seated, Jamie´s Italian is the right place. The food is quite good, the atmosphere is informal and the costumers are mostly young people.

I've eaten in several other "Jamie's" and never been that impressed, but this was the best experience to date. A freak bit of Easter sunshine left people scrabbling for al fresco dining options and we managed to nab a pavement table for lunch. Cracking pork scratchings to begin (Italian?!) followed up by good sized bowl of pappardelle with sausage that... More

To get away from the rain during a day out in London, my husband and I managed to get a table inside for a warm lunch at Jamie's Italian We both ordered an entree - fresh crab bruschetta and wild mushroom bruschetta, both packed with amazing flavours, both served on planks to add to the rustic theme of the restaurant.... I'm always visiting Jamie's all over the country and i've visited this one in Covent Garden twice. The Waiter was lovely he was friendly and smiley which is always a good thing, the food came very quick and it was very quiet so I sat in the window with my Kindle so i was very happy enjoying the sunshine. We had a lovely meal, on a chilly weekend, eating outside but with your heated seats and heated feet buttons we loved it. Is it sad to say the toilets were pretty impressive too 😂😂😂😂😂

I ate at Jamie's Italian for lunch in a Monday. It was my first time trying one of Jamie's restaurants; I had always dreamt about eating in one of them. Once I got there the place was empty (it was around 12 o'clock), and the first thing that surprised me was the design of the place: an open space -... More
