I visited Jamie's Italian, Covent Garden last Monday evening for a pre-theatre meal with some friends. I ordered the Lemon Sole special at 6pm to be told it was "sold out"!! I then ordered the smokey pancetta penne carbonara - what a dreadful disappointment!! The sauce was tasteless, pasta undercooked and the pancetta was 4 pieces of badly over cooked... More

Booked in advance to come here and was not blown away by anything special. The food tasted good and the service was average but definitely not somewhere I will be rushing back to.

I went here on a recent trip to London. I had not booked so was concerned whether I would get a table or not. I was lucky and am so pleased I was. I found the service friendly, attentive, fast and efficient. I decided to have one of the days specials which was the risotto. Not something I would normally... More

We took our daughter and her husband for lunch on Sunday as a treat. We had already booked our table and were ushered downstairs. The table we were given was right next to a coat stand, no sooner had I sat down someone sitting at the next table asked me to pass over their laptop bag! At the thought of... More

Only went here because my daughters insisted. Overpriced, ordinary pasta. Tiny, overpriced salad. Average, overpriced chips. This is ordinary food from restaurant chain. Simple as that.

Remember to book or you will have to wait so long. But the food is so good. I love the simple and easy style. Very good service with a smile and help.

Visiting London to meet friends we decided to try Jamies Italian at Covent Garden as one of our party (of 4) had visited his restaurants in Glasgow and Edinbourgh with good results. We passed by just after lunctime on the Saturday, it was busy and we enquired if a table was available to book for that night, it wasn't but... More

I took my son here, as I was visiting him at Uni; we were greeted and ushered towards the steps for the basement. I asked why we couldn't sit in the main area. Was told the tables were to seat four. I pointed out several tables for two. I suspect the real reason was that we were a little scruffy,... More

Visited the place after visiting Convent Garden Market. It is quite packed on Sunday afternoon, around 30 min wait time. The food are just so so, fish and chip that we had can't compare to the one in Harrods, although it is cheaper
