Mixed experience over two visits

I've been to this restaurant twice now in the last year, both times for lunch. The first occaision we were given a table downstairs (basement). Nice room and decor, great service, excellent food. Made it easy to decide to go back again when visiting Covent Garden later in the year. The second... read more

Went here for a late lunch whilst on a weekend away. The food was absolutely delicious! Food is very reasonably priced and the staff were very attentive. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars was because the drinks prices were extortionate. £8.80 for a glass of wine!!

Winter squash salad was not good for me. I love squash and that type of food. The pasta dishes ok my family said. I was expecting more from this restaurant. Disappointed.

2nd visit and 2nd time my friend and I have been in a bit of a rush! Explained to the staff that we off to the theatre and were on a deadline and again they looked after us superbly! Food is always excellent and drinks too - seriously can't fault it.

Booked in advance as didn't want to miss the chance to eat here. In town as a birthday treat for a family member, the team & food didn't let us down. Very busy lunch time ( Saturday) the team were in control, organised & very pleasant. Very pleased with the menu variety, we only managed two courses though so a... More

Frankly I had misgivings about this place. Unlike most people of my generation I don't particularly trust/like the floppy haired one, and while I am very impressed at his improvement of the lot of kids in school (hence the MBE, another reason for suspicion) it does't mean that the relentless machine of self promotion has found a place in my... I thought the layout and service was fine. Nice atmosphere - warm and inviting. The entrees we had were Pate Bruschetta (look messy but tasted great) and Fried Calamari (looked great but seemed to be made up of dried calamari offcuts. The mains were only ok but my bolognese lacked flavour. Having just been through Florence and eaten mainly at... More

We opted for a late lunch at Jamie's and pre booked. On arrival I was a little concerned at how many people were in there and how closely people were sitting. It was just me and the Wife and was hoping for a nice table for two. We were slotted in between a couple and a family. However, once we... More
