Wonderful find in Belsize

We found this wonderful little restaurant hidden in the centre of Belsize village and we cannot compare it to anywhere where we have had an Indian before, truly the best Indian food in London. A thoroughly pleasant experience all round, thank you to all of the lovely staff

We were drawn in by an offer ........ As don't know the area and had missed our planned restaurant reservations due to the M25 carpark! However, after a different and tasty Indian meal we were very very happy. Roasted broccoli , tempting chicken and cashew nut curry , and rounded off with homemade rose ice cream ...... Delicious ! Fine... More

We went to Hazara on Sat 21 Feb 2015 and had an awful experience. They appear to have changed their chef recently and the bottom line is: s/he cannot cook! The food was very bad (I'd have sent it back if it was from the local take away, but to charge prices on a par with restaurants like Trishna and... More

We moved into Golders Green recently and have been on the search for a good Indian takeaway. Finally we thought we found the one. Were we in for a disappointment! We ordered a home delivery and asked for chicken biryani, lamb dish and a potato dish. Upon arrival I looked at the boxes and the first thing that caught my... More

Went there last night for my birthday with my family. I arrived half hour early & was given the menu but not once asked if I wanted a drink - no big deal but the place is so laid back. Food was ok but not Trishna or Amaya or any half decent place in London or some of the locals... More

All three mains were delicious, the lamb biryani was one of the best we have had and the chicken tikka masala was full of flavour. Cosy and stylish interior and gracious service. Highly recommended

We had some take away from Hazara in our latest short stay in London. This restaurant came highly recommended and most of the reviews were great. What a disappointment! Both the main courses we got (korma and andhra chicken pulao) were dull. The korma was spectacularly tasteless and gray in colour. The taste of it, very flat. With korma being... More

I dragged myself and my family to Belsize Park to visit Hazara on the recommendation of a friend. It was worth it. Food: one of the best Indians I have had. You could tell the excellent quality of the ingredients and the spices were balanced to perfection. I took the bold step to enjoy a few cliched Indian dishes and... More
