Facinating, quirky and fun

As a first timer is at the impact I expect it was meant to. The simple joy of going through a single unexpected door to be greeted by a manikin and beautifully tall hostesses... bodega negra already had me hooked. Loved this quirky hidden restaurant. Behind the facade of neon lights that elude to a peep show, this is a fantastic Mexican restaurant. I didn't eat here this time but I did take full advantage of the cocktail menu and perched here at the bar for a good couple of hours. I won't say too much about this venue as... More

Maybe it's the tequila talking but that one of the best meals in London ever. The atmosphere from the quirky entrance, to the bar, to the dining area was fantastic. Our server, Paul (?) was brilliant. Cannot fault any of the food. I loved the grilled corn and the beef tacos. The quesadilla and guacamole were great. The Don Julio... More

Wow such great food & an amazing friendly chilled out atmosphere. I recommend it for pre theatre dining as very speedy & staff keen to please. Great menu with lots of tasty choices. The nachos are great!

Very good surprise once in . Very good music. Interesting decoration. Good service. Some interesting dishes even though this is not the reason you go to that place. Will come back lots of fun.

Where do I begin - What a great night. This was my first time at La Bodega Negra it did not disappoint. As you walk through the cheeky entrance you are met by the lovely and cool door hosts. They ask if you have a reservation and then guide you down into the basement. Once downstairs you are met by... More

La Bodega Negra is a hidden gem! Luckily, I went with my sister who had been before otherwise I would have almost certainly missed it...but that is part of the experience! Once inside, the experience gets better - from the stripped out piano mounted on the wall to the well stocked tequila bar, it's a treasure trove for those who... More

Staying in Soho

Neighborhood Profile
Soho
The go-to district for a good time in London, Soho hosts a wealth of world-class theatres and a compelling lineup of cafes, restaurants, pubs, bars, and clubs. At Soho's core is London's original Red Light District and the epicenter of the LGBT scene – and thus the city's hottest nightlife. For shopping enthusiasts, Soho is not only the home of London's greatest concentration of boutique shops, but also the most strategic place to set off on a tour of the world's most celebrated department stores. In the southern part of the neighborhood lies Chinatown, with its multitude of delicious and affordable restaurants. Closer to the Thames, Chinatown's narrow and teeming lantern-lit lanes spill onto the expansive hub of glitzy Leicester Square.
