Nice but overpriced

Food is lovely and place is beautiful, but 2 things I did not like: 1.- food and drinks are overpriced 2.- the hosts treat with a very fake and arrogant attitude, all they want is to give you the table and see you leave as fast as you can, also adding a 12.5% to your food bill is completely... read more

I guess the staff set the tone. They are aloof, at least the bar staff are. Table staff are better but the bar staff just love themselves; very pleased. The cocktails are okay, a bit on the expensive side and if you can cut through the simmering sarcasm of the staff as they explain, you can order something you like.... More

We popped in here for a quick lunch before theatre show. Very friendly, efficient staff and the food was very tasty. A little expensive we felt for what it was but hey, you're in London. It was busy, but not crowded and we were very much welcomed. Would go again.

Whilst the atmosphere is fun if you are looking for somewhere new in London this is not a place to go for great food. The starters/snacks were fine but the main courses were really quite average bordering on poorly cooked. Staff and service was attentive and good. I imagine this is a better place for cocktails and a snack than... More

Having eaten in hundreds of restaurants in London I'm rarely at a loss as to where to spend my evening. After a terrific meal out lastnight myself and my partner wandered over to Bodega for a quick drink before heading home. The bar at Bodega, according to its Google information closes at 11.30. Arriving at 11 after a brisk walk... More

Took my boyfriend for our anniversary as a surprise. Trying to walk in to a peep show was quite funny. You cant tell it is a restaurant and ita funny to see how they turn people away that think its a real sex shop. Once you confirm you have reaervations they will point you to the atairs to the basement.... More

Had a nice cold beer and snacks at the bar of this lively Mexican restaurant before seeing 'The Commitments' in Cambridge Circus. Staff friendly, service very prompt, atmosphere intimate. Loved it so much we went back for dinner after the show and had more beers with delicious tortiilas and burritos. Great find.

After being recommended La bodega Negra by a friend, I was not let down. Walking through a sex shop greeted by 2 ladies, was a bit fun. I walked into the bar area, as we arrived early for drink. The bar was great & the margarita's were quick to the table. The staff were very good telling our group about... More

Went as guests of overseas friends. It is located in a basement the entrance being shared with a strip club which can be a bit daunting and difficult to find if not forewarned! The music is very loud and it is very dark to the point where we had to put on the lights on our mobile phones to read... More

Was staying in London for mine and my partners anniversary and found this quirky Mexican spot online which had our tastebuds tingling so reserved a table Easter Sunday. (5th April 2015) Had read online what to look out for but would be difficult or even unknown to somebody walking past. It does look like a strip club from the outside... More

Staying in Soho

Neighborhood Profile
Soho
The go-to district for a good time in London, Soho hosts a wealth of world-class theatres and a compelling lineup of cafes, restaurants, pubs, bars, and clubs. At Soho's core is London's original Red Light District and the epicenter of the LGBT scene – and thus the city's hottest nightlife. For shopping enthusiasts, Soho is not only the home of London's greatest concentration of boutique shops, but also the most strategic place to set off on a tour of the world's most celebrated department stores. In the southern part of the neighborhood lies Chinatown, with its multitude of delicious and affordable restaurants. Closer to the Thames, Chinatown's narrow and teeming lantern-lit lanes spill onto the expansive hub of glitzy Leicester Square.
