Innovative Food, Good Service

We visited Dabbous on Friday night with friends. We were greeted and went downstairs to the bar for a drink. The whole style is industrial, lots of bare walls, concrete and metal. The bar was ok, but nothing special, I suggest the pub over the road for a drink! Once in the restaurant, the well... read more

I had read the reviews of the place and was aware of the stark decor and thumping music that makes it difficult to talk but I was prepared to put that aside if the food was spectacular. Unfortunately it was not and i left feeling hungry and disappointed. With the level of competition in London ever increasing I don't think... More

We enjoyed Dabbous' 7 course taster menu for lunch today as a birthday/30th wedding celebration treat from our daughter - an amazing sequence of delicious dishes all delivered with excellent friendly but unobtrusive service - multi-star food in a relaxed atmosphere - we'll definitely be back for more - highly recommended.

Mediocre, gimmicky food. Very small portions and I like small plates. Extremely poor service. I was a woman alone and the maitre d' never spoke to me. He stood three feet away talking to a server about his date the previous evening. Very unprofessional service. This place is all hype and no delivery. Don't waste your time or money.

Firstly we had booked the bar downstairs thinking it would be packed but it wasn't. It was empty at 7pm. Ordered some cocktails which honestly were awful. No taste, bitter. watery, came in some cheap glasses. Credit to the restaurant though we did complain and they took the price of the bill. We had the tasting menu and it was very... More

Overall, I was impressed by Dabbous. We've gone to a few restaurants along this same line, that tend to offer less "traditional" menus and multiple set courses. We were there on a random Tuesday night so it was very quiet. There was one really great broccolini dish that really stood out for some reason. Service was fantastic and very friendly.... More

After trying on and off for the last few years to get a table on a Saturday night we finally visited Dabbous. I must say both the Food and the Service was excellent . Exceptional Modern French Food but surprisingly light ( not a Potato in sight). The Restaurant is small so Tables are very close together but cannot say... More

After three months waiting for our reservation to come round, our lunch lasted little over an hour. We were told to arrive on time as the tables have a turn around of two hours. Blah blah blah the same old story of how to make money in London restaurants. We were given an undesirable table near the kitchen door which... More

What an excellent meal we had. Extremely high quality, interesting, imaginative, tasty, well served by knowledgable staff: it's hard to know what else to wish for. It wasn't cheap but worth the experience. Burrata with tamarillo was my favourite. I love them both but I've never had them together. The tasting menu was wonderful .

Lunch on a quiet Tuesday after the bank holiday meant the restaurant was quite empty and so lacking a little in atmosphere. However, the set lunch could not be faulted, with the mushroom savoury and lamb main course being the stand out dishes. One quibble is that booktable advertise the set lunch as costing £28, in fact it is £35.
