Now that the hype has died down and Dabbous is as easy to book as everywhere else, I decided to give it a go and see how it compares with its contemporaries. My overall reaction is that Dabbous provides minimalist, casual fine dining; the little touches that you see everywhere else are non-existent. For example: No amuse bouche. This is... More

Went to Dabbous after hearing lots of good things about it. Booked a table for 2 for early dinner at 6pm on a Saturday night arrived to find the restaurant empty – it doesn’t open until 6 – and I don’t think anyone else had booked until 6.30/7pm, not sure when their first bookings actually are. So there wasn’t much... More

Dabbous is of course very trendy and the food is predictably excellent and well prepared. It no doubt deserves its recognition by Michelin. As long as you come prepared for the industrial decor, you'll have a great time. Personally, I find the choice of either a tasting menu or set dinner quite limited. We liked each dish, but the lack... More

My boyfriend took me here for my birthday earlier this year for lunch on a Saturday, It was truly wonderful. Being vegetarian, he went to for the vegetarian tasting menu, and I went for the regular. Each course was really wonderful - and we loved the bread!! The sommelier was really kind and knowledgeable - the staff in general were fantastic... More

Everything thing about the restaurant was amazing. We were early so decided to get a drink at the bar, I asked them to add the drinks to our bill and the staff were able to do so without us informing them of our name! We were blown away by the attention. We went for the tasting menu and each dish... More

I had read the reviews of the place and was aware of the stark decor and thumping music that makes it difficult to talk but I was prepared to put that aside if the food was spectacular. Unfortunately it was not and i left feeling hungry and disappointed. With the level of competition in London ever increasing I don't think... More

We enjoyed Dabbous' 7 course taster menu for lunch today as a birthday/30th wedding celebration treat from our daughter - an amazing sequence of delicious dishes all delivered with excellent friendly but unobtrusive service - multi-star food in a relaxed atmosphere - we'll definitely be back for more - highly recommended.

We visited Dabbous on Friday night with friends. We were greeted and went downstairs to the bar for a drink. The whole style is industrial, lots of bare walls, concrete and metal. The bar was ok, but nothing special, I suggest the pub over the road for a drink! Once in the restaurant, the well trained staff clearly explained the... More

Mediocre, gimmicky food. Very small portions and I like small plates. Extremely poor service. I was a woman alone and the maitre d' never spoke to me. He stood three feet away talking to a server about his date the previous evening. Very unprofessional service. This place is all hype and no delivery. Don't waste your time or money.
