We have eaten here on several occasions, and it remains one of our favourites because of it's quirky use of unusual ingredients and combinations. The creamy mash with deep beef gravy was delicious, but you have to be very confident to get away with serving it! The cocktails are very good, and its a very good wine list which is... More

Had dinner here as a family party of four with two adult children. We all had the tasting menu of 7 courses - omitting the additional optional cheese course only because we were replete. My wife is a vegetarian and a special veggie tasting menu was offered which had intelligent adaptations of the carnivores menu and a couple of exclusives... More

From reading recent reviews of Dabbous, I was deeply unsure what to expect; justified accolades or overhyped humdrum. From the moment I entered the dining room (which is more reminiscent of Shoreditch nightclub) I was immediately veering towards overhyped prosaic offerings. However once the food arrived I immediately reversed my opinion. I opted for the set lunch menu of cured... More

Our party of six was lucky to obtain a reservation at short notice, but wouldn't have missed it. Fine dining, good service - but plush it ain't. Great location, albeit anonymously hidden in Fitzrovia. Inside it was modern, modest and minimalist. (Sorry, I'm a bit old for this trendy stuff, but most of our party were of the younger generation.)... More

Disappointing on all front. I wanted to go there since it open, but was put off by the 6 months waiting list.... and here we go. I was a bit surprise to find the restaurant almost empty for lunch on a Friday. The service is bad, the staff is not interested at all. The bread is serve in a brown... More

I loved this place. The interior is a little Shoreditch try-hard & the tables a little too close together for my liking but that doesn't detract from the wonderful food. I had the cured goose w/ fenugreek, roasted octopus and cassava, mash and gravy and the chocolate soaked brioche from the set lunch menu and I honestly couldn't fault any... More

Been to Dabbous twice so far, tried their (very different) Tasting Menu on both occasions. The majority of the dishes are absolutely amazing, delicious -- unusually, creatively done! Few dishes are just alright (in comparison to their other exceptional dishes). Food price is reasonable as a top-notch, super popular restaurant in central London. The basement bar doesn't feel very comfortable... More

I was looking forward to Dabbous given all the hype surrounding the place and waited a long time to secure a table. Perhaps I should not have built up any expectations, but I fear that even then, Dabbous would still have fallen far short. I started the night with a Smoky Birch Sap Old Fashioned; as someone who loves whisky... More

Went here almost by accident and knew nothing about the place. A choice of tasting or set four course menu won't be for everyone. Went for the relatively cheaper four course menu. Goose prosciutto looked both odd and visually striking, well balanced flavour from the meat vs fat. Octopus cooked well and with an intriguing spiced crust. Veal dish looked... More
