Some of the best tasting and most extraordinary food have ever tasted in London or anywhere - the high points were the goose, lamb and beef - all cooked/prepared in unique ways with incredible blend of flavours - the vegetable dishes and accompaniments were excellent also as was the fish - the only slightly disappointing dishes were the deserts which... Pleasant enough food, but for the price it was all a bit 'blah'. When you compare it to the competition there are so many better places to eat. Of particular note was the 'cold and lazy' service which another reviewer has pointed out. This includes the front of house, the sommelier and the waiters. One moment we felt we were... More

I was really looking forward to a lunch here with a group of friends. When you're on such a long waiting list for a table expectations are high. However - I have to say the whole experience was really bad. Interior was cold and lazy which matched the service perfectly. Although the food wasn't dreadful - it was far from... More

after hearing so many positive things about this restaurant over the past few years - it was sad to go and find mediocre and overpriced food.

Arriving at this trendy restaurant is inauspicious tending to disconcerting, with it's huge slab steel front door and its faux-industrial interior - all welded steel framework, ceiling ducting and pipe-work, bare concrete floors and walls; and tightly packed square cafeteria type tables and chairs: no concession to soft furnishings and romantic surroundings here. We went for a mid-week treat and... More

The food is good, seriously good. Some things are more innovative and some are more of a twist on a classic but, at less then £40 for the tasting menu, I had one memorable meal. One needs to try it to see, I guess, if the whole experience is worth it or not. It was for me.

We were sceptical before we arrived. Some have slated this restaurant for its small portions and being overly pretentious. We went with an open mind, tried the 4 course lunch menu and came away very satisfied. The staff were very freindly and showed passion for the food. This is not a place to have a feast; if that is your... More

Dabbous somehow reminds me of an beautiful, swanky person with a silent 's'. You've heard they are hot and in hot demand. You want to see what all the fuss is about. You get to speak with them. They know they are hot and have multiple offers - and as a result make absolutely no effort. You find them wanting... More

I took two colleagues here for lunch a couple of weeks ago. I must admit, the last time I went, it was better. It was £32 for a 4 course. Very little choice, but not a problem if it is good. First up, was a paper bag, with bread inside. Good bread. But why in a paper bag ? No... More
