Went here almost by accident and knew nothing about the place. A choice of tasting or set four course menu won't be for everyone. Went for the relatively cheaper four course menu. Goose prosciutto looked both odd and visually striking, well balanced flavour from the meat vs fat. Octopus cooked well and with an intriguing spiced crust. Veal dish looked... More

We dined here on a Saturday afternoon in January for a special occasion. I love the design of this restaurant, very Nine Inch Nails circa the 'Closer' era. Even if you have managed to book a table, you may miss out on dining, because the huge metal front door requires a herculean effort to open, it must be made of... More

Went for the tasting menu, which was relatively well priced. Started off with a very generously sized portion of thinly sliced cured goose with lashings of oil. This was fallowed up by chargrilled octopus, which was ever so slightly overcooked, with Cassava - like a pickled leek This was followed up, at just the right pace, firstly, as promised by... More

Really enjoyed the tasting menu and thought overall the food was really delicious. The menu only offers either set menu or a tasting one, which I didn't feel was too badly priced compared to other places. The staff were very good at explaining each dish and substitutions were made with no quibbles. There were two stand out dishes for for... More

Recently went to Dabbous for a birthday celebration. We've been wanting to go for a while and finally managed to get a table in January. We all opted for the tasting menu. The food serving staff were great, explaining the different courses and checking for any dietary needs. People were able to swap dishes with the other menu. When one... More

After booking four months in advance for this table for four at Dabbous on Saturday we were so disappointed with the meal, service and ambience. The hype for this restaurant is over the top and undeserved. The food was unusual but nothing special and it was overpriced with an additional £9 to have a truffle added to a small bowl... More

Second time here since early December. Service is excellent and friendly without being obtrusive. Set lunch at £32 for four courses is excellent value. Artichokes with aioli were perfect, great bread, warm egg and potato salad worked really well, lovely chocolate brioche pudding. Well chosen wine list by glass and carafe and a really decent house red, which is only... More

Dabbous may have a michelin star reputation and a 3 month waiting list, but beware and air on the side of caution when looking for that special dining experience. The food was hugely disappointing and the service non existant. As a regular diner in London, the price point was set extremely high for the quality of experience. London is spoilt... More

Although Dabbous may not be the restaurant of the moment, it has staying power. Many of the hot spots come and go, once they start to cool. Dabbous has maintained its spot as one of London's best - their creative menu doesn't disappoint.

I like the current trend for set menus and no a la carte but the food does have to be very good and interesting. At Dabbous it is both. Just enough twist on each course to add an element of surprise but the focus is on the pure taste of the key produce in each dish. A similar style to... More
