Great surprise

Our expectations were high but were excelled by the quality and excellence of our experience. Every course of the set menu was novel and unique. Plus Dabbous is a great buy for this level of performance. Sorry we live over the pond. We'd love to come again.

I went with a friend for dinner to Dabbous. To say we were both underwhelmed is understatement. Some of the food was edible. Neither of us finished any of the courses. The meal started at a low point and just got worse with possible the worst dessert we have ever eaten. This is a case of a fallen star where... More

Perhaps the worst fine-dining experience of my life. The menu is clueless, food is borderline edible (I did not finish any of the portions) and the waitresses seem almost apologetic that they have to serve such garbage. Add a filthy toilet that smells like a huge urinal and you realise that you would have much rather spent your night in... More

Dabbous had been on my 'must do' list of restaurants since I moved to London. Having read all the rave reviews about chef Ollie Dabbous' eclectic menu style (and having waited 2 months for this dinner reservation), I was looking forward to sampling the tasting menu. We started with the jerusalem artichoke, ripe pear, pine & perilla. It was a... More

Overall ambience is good here but the food and bad experience with the wine definitely means I would not return. Two of four courses were very nicely prepared and served. Of the other two one was flavourless and the other reasonable. Wine ordered came without any taste or odour and only when we insisted on trying another bottle did they... More

This was a birthday celebration event, and I knew it would be costly. The four of us decided on the tasting menu @ £69 a head. Very interesting food and taste combinations e.g. Winter endive with gingerbread, mint and endive , buttered kale with chestnuts and nutmeg, Yorkshire rhubarb with lavender. A very enjoyable meal with a surprisingly reasonably priced... More

We were very pleased to book Dabbous for Saturday lunch as it seems fairly difficult to find a fine dinning restaurant which is open for lunch on a Saturday. The exterior of this place is austere so they certainly don't expect people to just drop by on the off chance of being served. Inside the decor is stripped back modern... More

This was my third time at Dabbous (each time with friends) and again it did not disappoint. From coming in and having my bulky luggage stored without a raised eye brow (more than can be said of many other similarly high end restaurants), having a few delicious cocktails downstairs in the bar, not being rushed to our table then being... We went at a lunchtime and were initially concerned that we were only the 2nd pair there. We were well received and welcomed. We decided to try the tasting menu - 7 courses for £69 plus wine plus extra for a cheese course. I liked every single course. Full of flavour, texture and interest- and the wines recommended complemented them... More

I went to Dabbous with my partner last night for an anniversary dinner. We were welcomed warmly, had a delicious cocktail and were placed in a lovely corner in the dining area, which had a great atmosphere. We opted for the tasting menu... and unfortunately were sorely disappointed! Some of the courses were good (such as the kale and chestnuts,... More
