Description: Combining hundreds of years of the Italian tradition in the art of preparing food with the new style and concepts of the restaurant business, LA PIETRA is welcoming you to enjoy a relaxing evening, an invigorating lunch or a good breakfast to start your day. Whether you are a "foodie" or you are looking for low-calories meals, we offer a big variety of dishes, from which you will have plenty of choices to make your stay in our restaurant perfect. Our chef and his team will delight you with dishes prepared in our traditional wooden oven, served on hot stone plates. All dishes are prepared on-the-spot, nothing is precooked. All vegetables are fresh, not frozen and all sauces are made in-house. Even the pasta and the bread, not to mention the pizza dough, are made in-house, following traditional Italian recipes. We make them using full grain ingredients to give you the best pastries taste you ever had. But no meal is good enough without a tasty wine next to it. LA PIETRA offers an extensive collection of international wine from which you can select the wine of your choice. As the song goes, "A bottle of red, a bottle of white / It all depends upon your appetite / I'll meet you any time you want / In our Italian Restaurant." LA PIETRA also provides a "deli shop" where you can purchase our home-made pasta and bread so that you can take with you and enjoy, at home, the wonderful taste of our pastries. We will be more than happy to have you as one of our patrons and we are absolutely sure you will be coming again. LA PIETRA - The new Italian Style.

This restaurant is small but has a modern contemparary feel in it's design. The staff appear to be all Italians and are very friendly and helpful when asking questions regarding the menu selections. The starters are presented with a 'fine dining' look and were very good, the 'mains' were also very good and typical italian in style. Background music was playing... More

Two of us went to La Pietra on a Sunday evening on a set price deal with bottle of wine the restaurant was almost full, most people where on the deal. The mixed starter platter was very good and plentiful, as was the T Bone steak on a cooking brick. The wine that came with the meal was also reasonable.... More

I went here with my 12 years old son. The reception was very welcoming. And tge service paid him very nice attention. We felt very welcome. My son ate a pizza while I had a sizzling plate of meat. The cappuccino with which I finished as desert was supreme. Very good idea to eat here.

We had a voucher for a set menu. We had pizza bread and antipasto for starters. The pizza bread was okay, but the antipasto was poor - the meat and cheese were too cold, and both had no flavour. It was served on a wooden board, which made it difficult to eat. For mains we both had strips of steak... More

Must trys are the garlic and tomato foccacia starter and the salmon and avocado salad served on a himalayan salt plate... The seafood risotto, pizzas and tiramisu are divine too. Prices are in the ££ but look out for half price offers on some weekdays. Staff are friendly and attentive, atmosphere is cozy... Will definitely return

Popped here for lunch with a friend and firstly I have to say that the lady who looked after us was delightful - within seconds she was up there with one of my favourite waitress's - charming and welcoming and couldn't do enough for us! And the food... well this is a great Italian, good selection and quality meats in... More

Probably one of the worst food experiences I have had in a long time. I ordered Papardelle with Porcini and Mozarella-Tomato salad. First the wrong food was delivered. Then I got the wrong pasta, and the sauce proved to be both tastless and devoid of any porcini. The Mozzarella salad came (no joke) as a uncut block of Mozzarella, with... More

The restaurant is run by Romanians but they know their Italian cuisine (this is generally true in Rumania btw). Staff is knowledgable and service is geared to circumstances, good selection of wines available. I took bruschetta as starter and Pizza as main course and came back two weeks later. It is not cheap but no rip-off either.

Lunch for 6 people and they were not phased by my wanting to use my tastecard for 4 plus an extra 2 not on tastecard discount. Starters were all good and pizza's were thin crust and very large. Wine list at sensible prices and we (correctly) were not charged for tap water - TIP... if you ask for water you... More
