Description: Combining hundreds of years of the Italian tradition in the art of preparing food with the new style and concepts of the restaurant business, LA PIETRA is welcoming you to enjoy a relaxing evening, an invigorating lunch or a good breakfast to start your day. Whether you are a "foodie" or you are looking for low-calories meals, we offer a big variety of dishes, from which you will have plenty of choices to make your stay in our restaurant perfect. Our chef and his team will delight you with dishes prepared in our traditional wooden oven, served on hot stone plates. All dishes are prepared on-the-spot, nothing is precooked. All vegetables are fresh, not frozen and all sauces are made in-house. Even the pasta and the bread, not to mention the pizza dough, are made in-house, following traditional Italian recipes. We make them using full grain ingredients to give you the best pastries taste you ever had. But no meal is good enough without a tasty wine next to it. LA PIETRA offers an extensive collection of international wine from which you can select the wine of your choice. As the song goes, "A bottle of red, a bottle of white / It all depends upon your appetite / I'll meet you any time you want / In our Italian Restaurant." LA PIETRA also provides a "deli shop" where you can purchase our home-made pasta and bread so that you can take with you and enjoy, at home, the wonderful taste of our pastries. We will be more than happy to have you as one of our patrons and we are absolutely sure you will be coming again. LA PIETRA - The new Italian Style.

Another good visit (third) to this restaurant though, for the first time, I have noticed how expensive the meat dishes are; steaks starting at £20 with sides extra. However, it is good quality meat and the 4 cheese pizza did not disappoint again. Staff were pleasant and attentive though there were a couple of misunderstandings due to language difficulties. I had a party at this restaurant a few days ago. Even though the food was good, and actually good value for money, the service was absolutely shocking. The waiter waiting our table was rude and short with all of us. There were some issues with the bill at the end which was all handled really appallingly. I also had... More

Came for dinner after doing a pretty bad Jack the ripper tour under the rain. And it was a relief! This place is beautiful, elegant, and the staff is smiling all the time. Food is also great Italian, tried the pasta with wild rocket it was awesome. Pizza didn't make me absolutely crazy but well, I'm just really critic when... More

Stopped by with colleague to grab a bite after days work and this was nice and pleasant choise. Restaurant was not very full on early evening and the service was prompt and they knew what they were doing. Food was good, reasonably priced and portions were good size. Would go again if in the area.

This restaurant is small but has a modern contemparary feel in it's design. The staff appear to be all Italians and are very friendly and helpful when asking questions regarding the menu selections. The starters are presented with a 'fine dining' look and were very good, the 'mains' were also very good and typical italian in style. Background music was playing... More

Two of us went to La Pietra on a Sunday evening on a set price deal with bottle of wine the restaurant was almost full, most people where on the deal. The mixed starter platter was very good and plentiful, as was the T Bone steak on a cooking brick. The wine that came with the meal was also reasonable.... More

I went here with my 12 years old son. The reception was very welcoming. And tge service paid him very nice attention. We felt very welcome. My son ate a pizza while I had a sizzling plate of meat. The cappuccino with which I finished as desert was supreme. Very good idea to eat here.

We had a voucher for a set menu. We had pizza bread and antipasto for starters. The pizza bread was okay, but the antipasto was poor - the meat and cheese were too cold, and both had no flavour. It was served on a wooden board, which made it difficult to eat. For mains we both had strips of steak... More
