We have just moved into Brixton and after stumbling across Khamsa on various websites, and seeing the excellent reviews, we decided to give it a go. We were not disappointed. The staff were hugely friendly, from the moment I telephoned to book (at very short notice) to the moment we left. The food was very authentic and absolutely delicious. Massive... More

10/10 - will come back. We were looking specifically for African food near Clapham and did not really have any expectations. The staff is super friendly, and as I prefer to go with recommendations instead of choosing from the menu I was very happy with the way they put together a 4 person starter and main. We had at least... More

Having driven past Khamsa several times we finally got round to booking a table earlier this week and both agreed that this place is a real find. About 10 minutes walk up Acre Lane from Brixton underground, Khamsa is also directly on the 35, 355 and P5 bus routes. Located on the corner of Acre Lane and Solon Road the... More

We have eaten several times at this Brixton restaurant. The food is fresh and traditional with a twist, such as the caramelised leeks on top of the tagine, and sweet potato in the veggie tagine. My favourites are the mixed salad (7) varieties as a starter and the meatball tagine. So good! We always try and save room for some... More

Great place for fresh algerian home-made dishes with a beautiful decoration, a large choice of drinks including the refreshing algerian home-made lemonade and the tasty algerian tea. VERY NICE LITTLE CAKES even some for vegetarian as good as their vegetarien dishes. The staff is very friendly and we feel "home". It always a pleasure to have a dinner there. Keep... More

The food was great, nice atmosphere even though the music was a bit loud... Owners very friendly. Food not cheap, as expensive as any other North African restaurant... Why is that? Why is a plate of couscous or loubiya cost £14??? The menue was printed on black & white paper, which is not great. The owner can invest a few... More
