The Windsor Castle's outdoor patio was crowded on a Thursday night but we were fortunate to find a table inside. We had a great gastro-pub meal, and found an ale and a glass of wine that went well with the food. It was a healthy walk from the Hilton Kensington, with a walk up the hill. We decided to take... I met my friend Anne here for a drink after work on Thursday. The beer garden was busy, however we managed to find a table to sit at and passed a very enjoyable evening. The drinks were a bit expensive, but it is Nottinghill. The bar has lots of period features and was also very busy. A favourite for a... More

This is a little oasis in otherwise busy tourist saturated area, it is nice to get just off the beaten track and find this lovely little garden at the back. The service was friendly, the charcuterie platter just fine, and not too expensive all in all, I liked it very much. Would love to try for brunch. Inside looks very... More

We were able to sit in the garden for our dinner on a beautiful evening. The food was very good, pleasant atmosphere. I was very pleasantly surprised, it was an easy walk up and downhill from our hotel.

Chose this place as it has an outside 'beer garden'. So rare to find outside space in central London and nice to go to when the weather is good. Food was nice, I had crab something starter and then a chicken ceaser salad. Good size portions. Nice crowd soon filled the outside area to brimming. Great atmosphere and very local... More

After doing research on various sites, I zeroed in on The Windsor Castle. My husband and I went for the Sunday roast on our first night, and both the food and the atmosphere were fantastic. This was not a chain pub with a simulated pub experience. This place was the real deal. In fact, we went back again later in... More

This pub was refurbished last year. The quirky bar area is the same, you still have to duck through the arches to move from one bar to the next. However they have added extra eating areas at the back and the toilets have been moved upstairs, which is certainly an improvement. As with most of the pubs in Kensington it... More

We visited this pub for a couple (or three) pints one Friday lunchtime having seen it listed in Time Out as one of London's best beer gardens and it really is excellent. It's quite discreet and out of the way, and inside is very traditional with lots of dark timber and some quite interesting features. The beers and ciders are... More

I went there with family for Sunday roast. It was outstanding (we had lamb & beef)! Meal cooked to perfection and this huge yorkishire pudding, dessert soooo delicious + friendly staff and great atmosphere. And this little doors inside the pub... Unique! Beer range also very good, they stock anchor steam and have Brooklyn lager on drought. Definitely coming back... More

I loved this place. It has a sense of authenticity with its weird heights and low doorways. The surprise is the back terrace - a happening spot full of locals and young professionals. The food was very good from my vegetarian point of view. Definitely worth a visit!
