While in London we decided to do the traditional English Sunday roast. This pub was a bit of a hike uphill from Kensington High St but soooo worth it! The roast beef was delightful. My husband had the roast pork and raved about it. The pimms on tap on a London summer's day was the icing on the cake!

We came in on a Friday night, fairly early around 7pm, to enjoy a pub dinner while visiting London for the first time. We choose this place due to the proximity of our hotel, being on multiple lists for a top pub in London and overall pretty good reviews. We were quite turned off at first, but the night turned... I dare you to find a more "real" London pub this close to the glare of the city lights. Just a couple of minutes walk off Hyde park in the Kensington palace end, this pub will blow anglophiliacs off their barstool. Crooked and bent, naturally tinted by cigarettes beer and greasy Londoners over countless years, this pub is a gem.... More

popped in here for a tonic water ice and lemon- sliced lemon placed in glass by bare hand- this is not hygienic and will give this pub a miss in future. Had a refurb a while back , menu jazzed up, train your bar staff.

Interesting interior, quality real ales, and a garden in the rear. Ended up returning a few times, including for a Sunday meal, which I highly recommend. Tip: reserve, esp. for Sunday meal.

Went here in May 2015 after a stroll in Holland Park. Was the prefect location to suit and enjoy a nice drink. There is a lovely beer garden out the back but it is busy and worth booking in advance. The roast beef is worth trying and the roast potatoes and the gravy are spectacular. Others in my group had... More

Can't really beat this place in summer. Nice outside court and a very quaint inside area. Located right in between High Street Kensington and Notting Hill (on the "hill") you will not go away disatisfied. Unless you expect prompt service. The bar area tends to be full and at rush hour you will be lucky to get a pint. Also,... More

Great little pub with a hidden beer garden. Very understaffed so do expect to wait around 15-20 minutes until you get served at the bar. Food was pretty decent for a pub, again service was below standard.
