Full flavours and good drinks!

Get a pisco sour and a yuca fries with the cheese sauce (the first starter). Simply sinful with a kick. The ceviches are excellent too! A great place for some exotic flavours and friendly staff.

I hardly ever venture up to islington these days but an Aussie friend of mine was staying there so we met up for dinner at Tierra Peru. We had tiraditas de vieira, tamlitos, tacu tacu a lo pobre and carapulcra then dessert including the chilli ice cream. All presented beautifully and full of rich colour and flavour. It was a... We visited last week and the restaurant is very busy. We had to wait one hour to be seated despite our table booking. we sipped pisco sour coctails at the bar whilst waiting. Once seated we tried 7 course tasting menu. All dishes were really tasty. my favourite were 3 different kind of cebiche. we also tried quinoa stew that... More

This was all right. Starter was tamalita de pollo, corn mash with a kind of stewed chicken -or pork if you want - over the top. My main was a kind of pork, potato and peanut stew. The tinterweb tells me it's called 'carapulcra'; sounds about right. I wouldn't say it changed my world, but it was reasonable enough. A... More

The menu at this restaurant definitely has something in their list to cater everyone's taste. The food tastes delicious with so many flavours with amazing presentation, even the portions are of a good size. The staff were so friendly, warm and full of hospitality, they went way beyond our expectations as I am not particularly keen on spicy food but... More

I chose this restaurant because my best friend was visiting me and we like to eat ethnic food. She has celiac disease therefore I looked for a restaurant that offered a nice choice of Gluten Free dishes as we love to share food. Tierra Peru looked like an interesting choice and their menu looked tasty and very Gluten Free-friendly. The... More

I cannot comment on other people's reviews of the food at this restaurant. All I can say is that my experience differs from theirs. This is the first time I have been to this restaurant and it will not be the last. The service was excellent, with extremely courteous and smiling staff. We chose the buffet and the quality of... I love Peruvian food and have visited most of the current Peruvian restaurants in London. I found his one below par so would not recommend. A lot of the food was deep fried and all tasted similar.
