Well done decor, good service and friendly atmosphere

I come here quite often during class and I really enjoy each time I come. The staff are very personal and friendly, and the quality of the food is really good! I highly reccomend the chicken noodle soup - it's wonderful (with the cheesecake coming close second!). I highly recommend this place for a... read more

We ate here on Wednesday 25th November, as there was seventeen of us we reserved the private dinning room, which was spacious and bright. Our fixed menu was seafood cocktail to start followed by fillet steak, with sep's and fondant potato, with a lovely red wine jus, both courses were very nice. Our Lady organiser and her assistant were both... More

The Delaunay is challenging the Wolseley as Corbins and King's flagship restaurant. Somehow or other I was a tiny bit disappointed on this visit. I went with my grandson and his girlfriend.I noted they brought the average age of the lunchers down by quite a bit. Is the Delaunay becoming a bit staid? Also, the menu has become too Mid-Continental... More

We enjoyed the atmosphere. Just right for after the Theatre. Food was good as was the service. Lively and felt very European. You cold have been in Paris or Brussels or indeed somewhere in Austria. Our only criticism was the quality of the Bordeaux wine we ordered at £29.50 Which for the money should have been better

One of my favourite London restaurants, particularly for a business lunch. We return often and always find a lively atmosphere, attentive knowledgeable friendly front of house staff, and fabulous creative dishes. One of my favourite dishes is the Wiener Schnitzel - try it with Pickled Cucumber Salad - they really work well together. Some classic desserts - if you're more... More

We had a late lunch here on a Saturday! It was busy so booking on on line was a bonus. Service was very friendly and efficient. Food was very good with a choice of dishes.

Had dinner here yesterday evening, four of us taking out a friend for her birthday. The atmosphere is hectic and happy. The tables are well spaced. The decor is turn of a the century, the dining room quite large and open plan, but still intimate. The food was excellent, not fancy cooking, but what most people would actually like to... More

Met a girl friend here for supper on a Thursday. Great buzz pre-Theatre and it remained busy throughout the evening. Good location and the service was professional and efficient.

The Delaunay is a very handsome, vintage-looking, large (yet comfortable) restaurant in the heart of the theater district, across the street from the Aldwych Theater. There is certainly a din, but not deafening, creating a thrilling experience without being oppressive. We arrived on a Saturday night around 6:30 p.m. needing to dine rather quickly as we had tickets for the... More
