It should've been a sad day, a sad story and many sad memories. BUT! the tasty light morsels and old world charm The Delaunay effortlessly serves up makes it the best place to be stood up for a date. Yes, on my second visit to the fantastic Delaunay; I was stood up by my date. I'd bustled in frantically asking... More

I chanced upon Delaunay's whilst staying on the Strand. What a treat. I opted for the sausages which were delicious and served with potato salad and sauerkraut. It felt like I stepped into 1930s Europe and the tastes were reminiscent of childhood holidays in Salzburg. The American couple sat on the next table had come back 3 times in the... More

I have only visited this restaurant once, but will be a regular...if I book early. The room is reminiscent of a Grand Salon which generates a special atmoshphere; it is fairly formal. Food is classic European with Schnitzels, the Holstein was excellent, Wursts and a great ask the Stroganoff. Ask the Sommelier to recommend one of the lesser known wines... More

We had a late meal after a West End show. Sat down after 10pm. but this was no problem. Service was perfect and food was beautifully presented and was well prepared. Nothing was too much trouble. Great ambience and really authentic and comfortable. Will make this a regular now that I found it! Not cheap but good value

Great central restaurant, busy but tables aren't on top of each other. We went at 11.30am for brunch. The breakfast menu had finished but we could still order eggs benedict, pancakes with bacon with maple syrup and omelette which we ordered. We asked for another plate so we could share. Very relaxed atmosphere but staff well dressed in uniform, all... More

The staff are very attentive the menus were great and the food out of this world. Despite the waitress telling us that the 3 meals we ordered were main meals we ordered them anyway and we'll we were stuffed. The pancakes with bacon have to be the best we've ever had and we're glad we ordered them. The black pudding... More

What a great way to get together with friends -- lunch with all the family favorites and a few new approaches to some of the traditional starters. Overall a good size menu covering most tastes. For me it was a schnitzel with all the usual accompaniments just like we used to have at home. The seating was comfortable and while... More

Breakfast at The Delaunay, well worth a visit. Plenty of choice to suit all. Popular and busy with a good atmosphere. Might seem a little pricey but food and particularly juices are top quality. Would like to go back and try the dinner menu sometime.

The Delaunay is an excellent choice for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Simple and tasty menu, beautiful interiors by the late David Collins and great service. However, if you fancy a sweet treat - anytime I think this place is one of the best. Whether it's Viennese cakes and pastries or the decadent Lucien (pictured), one is guaranteed to come out...
