Description: In 2012 THIRTY-SIX was awarded three rosettes for culinary excellence. Indeed, Nigel's cuisine is some of the best modern British food you will find in the region. Interestingly, the secret of his excellence is the balance between classical flavours meticulously prepared, and a contemporary flair to produce both stunning presentation and taste.

I had dinner with an old friend and as I was staying at the Duke's hotel Thirty Six was convenient. We were glad we gave it a go, the tasting menu and in general the accompanying wine list is excellent. There were 6 courses with healthy portion sizes but we still finished feeling comfortable. The underlying quality of the food... More

We went to thirty six for a family event for sunday brunch. I didn't know what to expect but was mostly pleasantly surprised. Let's talk about the food first. I didn't find it particularly impressive or outstanding. You start with a buffet type breakfast with cold meats, bread, fruit, nothing special but enough to keep most people interested. You can... My partner and I happened upon this restaurant when looking for somewhere close to Christie's. Its a bit hidden away but very convenient and well worth finding. Surprisingly only a couple of other tables were occupied even though it was about 1pm- for the food quality and value it should have been much busier. We took the set menu, £25... More

How unusual to find such a hidden jewel of a restaurant in London. We chose the tasting menu with the wine pairing and it was lovely. My one disappointment was the English white wine served with the cheese. Other than that all great!

Went here for Sunday Brunch with a voucher that we had bought on Travelzoo. The restaurant is quite small, but I didn't find this to be a problem. The tables were spaced out enough that you didn't feel like you were sat on top of those around you, and when we were there, there were only 6 other tables occupied... More

We went for Sunday brunch and had a really lovely time. As other reviewers have said, the restaurant is quite small, but very comfortable with a pleasant atmosphere. The staff were very attentive and welcoming and the food I couldnt fault. There was a 'sweet' counter and a 'savoury' counter offering lots of choice, plus a main course, plus waffles... More

Been here a few times, always quiett even on saturday evenings. perhaps not other times. three courses all very good, crab started beautifully presented and duck mains lovely. brought two good bottles with corkage fee. ALmost pushing for Michelin star, but somehow all very good but nothing very memorable. Friendly service, limited wine list and only two waiters for whole... More

My husband and I had the Sunday Brunch yesterday using the Travelzoo offer. The dining room is smaller than I thought it would be and there were only a few tables occupied so the atmosphere was quiet and calm. There was some background music playing which was needed. We started with the buffet which was delicious. I had to stop... More

We went for a Saturday evening it is not a cheap restuarant but the food was excellent absolutely first class. The service was very attentive although I felt at times it was. Little slow. The restaurant was not full but still there were plenty of diners which meant the atmosphere was good. BUT as mentioned in other reviews the room... More

Not sure if this counts but staying at the Dukes allows you access to the restaurant for breakfast and what a wonderful experience that was! Would highly recommend, service and food was out of this world.
