Food and beer OK could do with a lick of paint

Ate Saturday lunch with our two grown up sons. They enjoyed the quirky decor. Ceiling still painted brown. We shared a few starters and a couple of puddings. Pub was practically empty. Hope it does not go under as so many do.

My friends & I are locals at The Dog House. On Sunday evening, I went there with my boyfriend and his family and found a very pleasant surprise: the menu has changed! In fact, the management changed again recently and there is a new chef. We all orders different roasts which come with the usual sides. Everything was very tasty... More

this use tobe a good pub but now it's been taken over by a unfriendly manager who doesn't welcome locals, we have now stop drinking there due to the manager not even talking to his regulers, we have since found out that other people have left for the Same. Reson. Which is the pilgrims gain.

I dine at the The Dog House regularly and not once had I been disappointed with the food here. It always comes fresh and tasty, which adds more spice to the whole experience. My favourite are chips - such a simple thing but hardly ever they seem to taste right!? Well here they do - chunky, soft and not too... More

Living 100m from the nearby Ship pub (a far better destination for food, drink and atmosphere) I thought I'd try something different and visit The Dog House. We chose our food, got to the bar and the waitress told us that half of the menu was unavailable. She then proceeded to overcharge us on the bill and get very confused... More

We visited for Sunday lunch having saw it mentioned in the comments section of a top 20 places in London for Sunday lunch review. It was well worth the trek to get there. The pub is located within walking distance of the kennington tube station and the imperial war museum. The ambience was perfect, a bit of smooth jazz in... More

Ducked in out of the rain early in the evening. A lovely atmosphere to this place with eclectic charm, a slightly grungy feel and a warmth to match. A good selection of beers and the staff happy to find the right wine for you. The food was great with my bangers and mash as good as it gets (grilled, not... More

I went on the 10/07/2014 and was served by a friendly Asian lady with no problem. The place has a homey feel to it; a bit old looking but food and service were good that you will not think of it. Overall, a good place to go to and would recommend to my colleagues for a regular corporate lunches. I'm... More

Met a friend here when I was staying in London. Thee are seats and tables outside but the wind was a bit chilly so we went inside. The bar staff were friendly and welcoming, and when I asked about white wine the lady behind the bar told me about the special offer on the house wine. I thought that was... More
