This is a great pub, within an easy 10 mins walk of Waterloo station but tucked down a side street. It opens from an unassuming front into a good, long bar. It does get busy early evening (and lunchtimes I would imagine, but haven't been), but generally you can find a space and even a table soon. The gem is... More

My wife and I had been up river to Woolwich and 'had disembarked at the Bankment Pier (London Eye) only to be shocked by the "masses of people" in the area in the early afternoon. We decided to head East and sure enough, the streets emptied on the other side of London Bridge. As we were wandering the back streets... More

This was suggested by the concierge at the Westminster Park Place Hotel, we were not disappointed. My son wanted a native english entree, so we ordered Fish & Chips...were we surprised when it came as a whole Fish! That never happens in the U.S.! The chili con carne was also good. It was a week day and we had to... More

Had a very pleasant few pints a bowl of curly fries with chili con carner on top....mouth wateringly good when you are starving....and no shortage of calories either. This pub is a great place for a chat in pleasant surroundings. Enjoyed it a lot!

We were told about this place and enjoyed eating out in the back in a small garden patio with a few tables. Ordered food and beer at the bar. Large portion of fish & chips and the chicken pie was good. Feels like a neighborhood place.

We stopped we ate and it was huge. Such generous serves. Then Chicken pie and mushroom was lovely. Significant other had good ol fish and chips. It's such a quaint place. We liked it. Cosy, comfortable and nice generous serves. Would be a great spot on a cold winters day.

The atmosphere was fantastic, it was a lovely afternoon and staff was friendly and nice. My veggie burger is the best I have ever had in my life, good chips and a beautiful small garden!

Had a few drinks in here with friends. They had a good selection of beers, and some good malts, and the staff were very helpful and friendly (and seemed to know a fair bit about the beers they had on offer). Prices were very reasonable for this part of the world. Recommended.

Food is okish, nothing special. Service was specially bad. I have been waiting long time in order to be served, the waiter seemed to be interested in served anybody else first. I was part of a big group and it seems you have less rights to order, despite paying for every single item.. It was very irritating. I wont repeat.

This is a great place to chill out as well as enjoy the good food. I love the Big Ben burger. The food is really well done and I find upstairs a bit less noisy. Great place to catch up with friends or just chill.
